Diamond review  ~ Bath ~

Advantages: Amazing views, Great history, lots to see and do.
Disadvantages: parking!! too many tourists in the summer.

...and as there are many residents living in the centre spaces are limited. However there are park and ride services around the town and local bus services. The train station is also in the heart of Bath so you could travel down by train. ~ Nightlife ~ To be honest the only times I am in bath now is the evenings. Sometimes I will go out for meals in the vast variety of restaurants, but most of the time it?s going there for a night out. There are loads of different pubs and clubs for all kinds of people. There are some really nice pubs and I tend to stick to a few that I know well. There is some trouble around in Bath and even though there are many things said in the paper I have never had any trouble where I have visited. If you stay in a big group and go to your familiar places its fine. The weekends are extremely busy, like any...

Diamond review  Harvester Restaurants

Advantages: Always one close by, quick turn out, children are welcome and catered for.
Disadvantages: Toilets can be quite disturbing, not all dishes taste as good they are described.

...Harvester Restaurants Restaurant Reviewed: Stag and Hounds Winchester Road Basingstoke Hampshire (next to Comet and Home Base) The Harvester chain of Restaurants have over 2000 outlets across the United Kingdom and owned and operated by Mitchells and Butlers, who claim to be the UK's leading operator of managed pubs, bars and restaurants. Harvester claim to offer healthy eating, drinking and entertainment in one reasonably priced outlet. **** Parking and Getting a Table ***** As with most of the Harvester's I have visited, there is usually ample free parking at the rear of the establishment. However on Saturday evenings and Sunday lunch times these places are heaving with customers, so avoid the crowds, go early and if possible ring and reserve a table. The Stag and Hounds is no exception but fortunately...

The Heart of Bath

Advantages: Successful, exciting and great fan support
Disadvantages: Prices of tickets to see them

...Bath Rugby- was introduced to me by my mum, about 4 years ago. My Grampy used to watch them all the time and bath was his favourite team. This has passed down and my mum and her sisters are huge fans and now me, my sister and younger brother follow them as well. Even though I am not a Season ticket holder, (bit expensive really), I go to most of the home games and an away match each season with my mum or family. It is a great experience watching them play and there is always a brilliant atmosphere at the Rec. ~ BACKGROUND ~ Bath Rugby was founded in 1865 and is one of the oldest clubs in the Rugby Union Premiership that still exists. In the beginning most games were of local teams including Bristol, Gloucester and Weston-Super Mare and the club played their first game at the Rec now the home ground 1907. Bath lost a lot...

Ze Restaurant!

Advantages: Good show, interesting
Disadvantages: Slightly worse than last year`s

...The Restaurant is a TV programme shown on BBC 2 on Thursday nights! The show is a reality TV show and is similar to something like the Apprentice but a food version. This show is obviously based on the concept and success of many other TV shows like the Apprentice, food shows like Masterchef and all the other shows like Dragon`s Den, X Factor e.t.c The idea of the show is for world famous chef Raymond Blanc to find a couple to help him run a restaurant and the couples are gradually knocked out week by week until they have the winning couple. It is in its third season and seems to have got a bit worse. I still enjoy it but felt it used to be more exciting and interesting. There used to be two shows with one of them being a challenge but they seem to have got rid of this which is a shame! Raymond has help from his two assistants e...

The Seafood Restaurant

Advantages: Great fish, sides
Disadvantages: None

...Rick Stein - The Seafood Restaurant On a recent trip to Padstow, Cornwall we decided to go to Rick Steins famous fish restaurant, The Seafood Restaurant. Rick Stein is an English chef, restauranter and television presenter. He now specialises in fish cookery. He opened his first restaurant in Padstow in 1974 and now runs quite a few businesses in the town including a cake shop, cookery school and a fish and chip shop. The Seafood Restaurant is his upper class restaurant in the town and is known for it's fabulous fish. It really is in the best location for fish. Padstow is a historic fishing port and so receives fresh fish every day. The restaurant is right at one end of town by the harbour and so is perfectly place to recieve all the best catches of the day. It's quite hard to get a reservation in the restaurant. I think I booked...

Delicious Greek food in Bath

Advantages: Excellent food, great service, nice surroundings
Disadvantages: None

...big so the centre is easily walked around. The nearest parking is at the Bath Sports Centre (which is council run so you don?t have to use the centre to use the car park) or the Saw Close car park. They both cost £1.40 for one hour, £2.80 for two, £4 for three and £5 for four. They are both free after 8pm which is the time we went so we were happy to get the free parking. Both car parks are less than five minutes walk away from the restaurant. Bath train station is a also a five minute walk away. EXPERIENCE: I phoned to book a table at the restaurant because I knew it was popular and wanted to make sure (although I need not have bothered as we were the only ones in there when we arrived). We went on a Tuesday night so I would recommend booking if you go on a weekend. Opa is an underground restaurant and bar. It is down...

Bratz for bath

Advantages: It's Bratz
Disadvantages: It's Bratz!

...Bratz Bubble Bath The picture shown here is I believe one of the gift sets containing bubble bath whereas I am reviewing the bubble bath. We have had a subtle move from Barbie to Bratz and the bubble bath in the bathroom is testimony to this fact. This particular favourite of the moment is I believe Yasmin and Sacha although I am not sure which is which. PRODUCT AND PACKAGING? The bubble bath comes in a 400ml plastic bottle with pictures of the two Bratz on the front- Yasmin and Sacha (so I am informed). They are suitably glossed up in typical Bratz like fashion and don't look at all like the kind of people who would be using this kind of bubble bath!! The overall colour of the bottle is pinks and purples and it has a dark pink flip up to open/flip down to close lid. The design is quite chunky and when we open the lid...

My favourite Turkish restaurant on Green Lanes

Advantages: Great food, quick, friendly service, inexpensive
Disadvantages: Can be crowded and noisy on weekend nights

... INTRODUCTION Diyarbakir is a Turkish Restaurant on Green Lanes (A10), in the borough of Haringey, North London, a 7-8 minute walk from Manor House Tube station and practically seconds away from Harringay Green Lanes rail entrance. Undoubtedly, the densest Turkish restaurant population in London, if not, the whole planet, including Istanbul itself. I moved to this area in 2005 and my decision was mainly down to the great value restauration and the Mediterranean (Turkish - Cypriot - Greek - Middles Eastern) groceries having grown up on the stuff. THE RESTAURANT You can spot the trays of lovely, colourful daily stews from the street as they are displayed in the window. As you enter, the long chilled counter is on your left with a huge menu board overhead. The decor is simple, now repainted a warm yellow and red. Unlike...

Claimed to be the oldest restaurant in Dalyan

Advantages: Gorgeous surroundings, loads of special dishes, the clay pot, waiters look the part
Disadvantages: Expensive wine and water, relatively small portion sizes, loads of manky cats

...Sini and instantly clocked my other half (she has got the best long, curly and fiery auburn hair ever, and it is something that Turkish blokes seem to really like as the male attention she got wherever we went was a bit too much for me (and I seldom become the green eyed monster), although I was offered 3 camels for her) and the banter started. It was time to sample Sini, so we booked a table (which the tout promised would be the best in the house) for eight that evening. Why is this restaurant called Sini? According to the tout, and the website; ?In a traditional Turkish family the people eat together on the floor. They sit at a sort of tablecloth and a large round serving tray with about three or four different kinds of dish. In Turkish this tray is called a "Sini". Around the restaurant you will see traditional...

An Ecotic Bath?

Advantages: smells like a Bounty Bar! Relaxing, moisturising
Disadvantages: None from me

...I am not really sure what attracted me to this bath foam as it is only a plain basic white colour, maybe the fact that it was coconut and to me it always remind me of one of my favourite chocolate bars, Bounty! The ice cream part of the title really did not appeal to me as I am not a fan of this but after smelling the bath foam I definitely had to give it a go. ~~THE BOTTLE~~ (please not that Ciao have added the wrong image) The bath and Shower gel comes in a clear cylindrical bottle which has the product name at the top in black letting and the n-spa logo on the bottom. The back of the bottle has a label which has all the product information which you will need. On the front label there is a lovely saying which I will include as I found it to be a very good little read. ?I am told said the wise man, that the sweet water...
