...the bits of dirt which were in the bottom of my bath and the dried on remains of the bubble bath which my boys had had earlier in the day. The taps were all left lovely and shiny when they had been quickly wiped over and they did for once look exceptionally clean. I found that these wipes did make light work of removing dried on toothpaste from around the bathroom sink which was a big bonus for me. I did find there was no residue on the bath, sink or taps when I had wiped them over with these wipes and the fragrance was very apparent throughout the bathroom which for me made it smell and feel very clean. The wipes are not to be flushed down the toilet and are to be thrown away in the normal household rubbish. As this is the case I did not use these wipes to clean the toilet so I cannot comment on how effective they are for this job...

Bathroom Mousse

...I bought this on recommendation from a friend and colleague, who uses it for cleaning at work as well as at home. She said it does the job where other cleaners are just not good enough, so I promptly went out and bought some. I paid £1.05 in Tesco, which I thought was surprisingly cheap for a big name brand like Cif. Cif claim that this bathroom mousse gives brilliant results with minimum effort. You just need to spray the mousse on, leave it 5-10 minutes, and rinse it off. It's suitable for use on plastic, enamel and chrome surfaces. The mousse comes in a tall cylindrical can with a see-through lime green domes lid. The top has the usual mousse-can spray, with a button at one side of the nozzle, which you just press down and out squirts the mousse. Unblock the sink without the need for a plunger

Advantages: removes blockages, easy application
Disadvantages: slight smell of bleach, hard to open cap!

...I used this product a short while ago after I noticed that my kitchen sink had become blocked, and the water was not draining away, just sitting in the sink - minging. Now, looking on the shelves I noticed how ridiculously over priced these types of products were, and there is always the risk that the won't work anyway. This product cost around £3 and was one of the cheapest available. The bottle recommended that the whole lot is used in the application. Bearing in mind the price (and how useful it may be to have some of the product available in the house for such cases in the future) I applied approximately half the bottle. It states not to apply in standing water, so it was a bit of a job to remove as much water from the sink as possible (always useful to have an old mug!). Sink and Plughole Blocker!

I bought this "sink and bath unblocker": (http://www.screwfix.com/prods/13894/Bathrooms/Plumbing-Hand-Tools/Sink-Bat h-Unblocker) for £2.99. It looks like a giant syringe! Be careful to block the overflow holes first (I used a damp cloth and a biro to stick it in the holes) or you will get covered in gunk. You basicly just suck the undrained water out and then force through warm water to dislodge the blockage - it worked perfectly first time! It was really smelly though! The plunger is cheaper, re-usable and environmentally friendly - I don't like the idea of putting 1L of chemical into the environment when it wont even dissolve into water... who knows where it will sink to next? WARNING If you have a washing machine near your kitchen sink think...

...Having got sick of wading up to my shins in soapy water everytime I had a shower, I decided it was definately time I found something to unblock the plughole in the bath. In fact, it wasn't just the bath that was blocked but also the bathroom sink as they both share the same outlet pipe. If I ran water into the bathroom sink at high speed it would cause a backflow up into the bath, so there was definately a serious blockage. I'm guessing the problem was due to a build up of hair seeing as there are quite a few long-haired females in our house. Anyway, I 'googled' to find what might be the best product to use. I had seen the advert for Mr Muscle on TV and wondered if it really was as simple and effective as it looked. ...when you open the bottle and the bathroom stinks of it even after you rinse the stuff away after a treatment. However I found that opening the bathroom window for about half an hour after cleaning and rinsing away will leave the air breathable again. Appearance: Looks clear, the thickness is almost a gel and globs down the drain slowly working its way through the junk, hair, food and other nasties lurking in the drain. Use: For use in the kitchen or bathroom for sinks and plugholes, although I suppose you could even use it on outside drains too as long as you were able to keep it dry for long enough and also rinse away throughly. But one might think you would need a larger amount of Mr Muscle depending on the size and diameter of the drain. I have a sinking feeling.

Advantages: Moisturising, doesn't dry out and crack.
Disadvantages: Where do I start? Stung, save your money and use your night cream!

...I got this product in a gift set, only a small sample size but that was enough for me. This is one of the few Body Shop products that I really don't like, bet you weren't expecting that were you! This is a facemask but unlike most that need washing off or peeling off this one doesn't. You can wipe off the excess with a tissue if you want but the rest is just left to sink in, as the name would suggest. The Body Shops Vitamin E range is for all skin types so is meant to suit everyone, but don't get too excited! I have combination skin and this was too heavy for my T zone so anyone with oily skin should probably steer clear! Also anyone with sensitive skin should also not even consider trying this, my skin can be temperamental occasionally and this stung when I used it so would be very likely to cause a reaction for people...
