...I had been intending to purchase a battery charger for quite a while. In fact I had even dropped hints to certain family members around Christmas time, but to no avail. I was recently reminded of this missing piece of equipment in my life when I rediscovered the PC lead to my digital camera. Remembering that a pair of standard batteries lasted for only about 30 photos in this camera I decided that it was certainly time to invest in a battery charger and some rechargeable batteries. I purchased an Energizer CHDCW8 ? 4 battery charger from Argos for just £9.99. This decision was based on several factors, the most important of which was the price and what I considered to be the best value for money. The resolution and frame rate of videos taken with this camera is also very high, and can be adjusted (high resolution, high frame-rate videos tend to take up a lot of memory on the card, so you'll need to buy at leats a 1GB one if you're planning on using this camera for pictures AND videos). ...---THE PRODUCT--- Definately glad to be an owner of one of these chargers, even though they seem quite pricey, the batteries are great as they are reusable, and you don't waste money on purchasing darn AA batteries, again and again. It's easy to use, don't take hours to charge like the previous models which took around 8 hours and meant that you had to leave it on over night, worrying that it would heat up and catch the house on fire. Good battery charger for it's price

Advantages: Charges quickly, easy to use.

...I bought this so that I wouldnt' have to keep paying for batteries all the time for my camera. Most battery chargers cost a lot more than this one did (I bought this one for about £12, from Amazon), so it was good to get a deal on it. The package includes the charger itself, 4 AA batteries and a car adapter, so you can charge your batteries in the car. The batteries are easy to insert, there are two spring-loaded extensions that spring out. These are so you can charge AAA batteries as well, and they fold away when you're charging AA batteries. I find that charging batteries doesn't take very much time at all, I just leave them in for a short while and after a short while the red light turns green to show that the charge is complete. When the batteries are fully charged the green light will go out and the charger will stop charging so it is impossible to over charge and damage the batteries. ...Having had a previous Uniross charger for several years which had provided a stirling service until it was dropped and broken, I wanted to stay with a manufacturer I knew and felt comfortable with. After hunting down several models I narrowed it down to this 1 hour charger (model no. AAB04541-3) which charges both AA and AAA batteries, either two or four at a tiime. It will also charge either Ni-MH or Ni-Cd batteries. It comes with a mains plug charger adaptor (100-240v) and a lead for plugging into your car cigar lighter socket. The Uniross 1 Hr Charger also has a built in intelligent charger system to save over loading the batteries which is a useful feature when one may tend to walk off and forget you have left some batteries charging. Uniross Charger + Batteries

Advantages: Good Long Life Batteries
Disadvantages: Switch isn't too clear

...have had with this charger. The batteries themselves have a decent lifetime after a full charge, and I was able to listen to my CD/MP3 player for about 4 days, quite a lot of the time, and at full volume, before the batteries went flat. I was very happy with the life of the batteries. The red light I mentioned earlier goes green at the end of the charge which is very handy for not overcharging your batteries. These batteries cost me about £16.99 from Comet and they take 5 hours to charge. I'd like to give this product 7 out of 10....
