Advantages: Small and easy to use. Also very attractive
Disadvantages: unable to turn off tone when turned on

...I bought this phone about 2 years ago because I wanted to rid of my old one and get more advanced. I was attracted to the from mainly the looks and features. I still own the phone and would hate to lose it. It comes with some attractive ringtones and wallpapers which are easy to find and use. Tones can also be downloaded via WAP which is handy. It has a long battery life and doesn't need to be charged as often as most other mobile phones. It can take around 30 mins to 1 hour to charge to full and lasts for a long time - turned off or on. It is very easy to navigate the various options and texts can be sent fast and easily. The phone can hold up to 200 texts at a time which is efficiant if you are a regular texter and like to communicate a lot. There are 3 games - all very simple to play but none the less fun. Samsung A800 - a great little phone

Advantages: Cheap, light, stylish
Disadvantages: Not a nokia!

A nifty little phone - Samsung A800

Advantages: Lightweight and Stylish
Disadvantages: Poor battery time, and plays music whenever you switch it on.

...I first made the decision to purchase the Samsung A800 out of pure necessity for a phone. I had always gone for cheaper brands of mobile phone such as old, heavy Nokia models but as they always ended up breaking after about a year I decided to go for a more stylish model. I brought the Samsung A800 after it had been on the market for a good few years and so the price was substantially less than when it was the latest model. Samsung SGH-A800 is a great small Mobile Phone

Advantages: small light and very cheap high quality phone
Disadvantages: Menu system is abit hard to find things sometimes

...This phone is great for what a phone should be for talking to other people even though it has no Bluetooth or camera (just expensive gimmics to me).It's very compact and has useful screen on it when folded that tells you the time and if you have mail or who is calling. The great thing is it relatively cheap i got it six months ago from Tesco's for £80, compared with other's at the time it is very compact, and has a long battery life. I charge it weekly and keep it switched on most of the time. It has great Polyphonic sound even though some of the pre set tunes are a bit annoying but you can usually find a good one. The WAP feature is good and useful mainly on holiday to check score's and shares but no for serious surfing as it is slow and bit hard to navigate For those times of complete boredom it offers 3 reasonable...

My views of the Samsung A800

...These are my personal views regarding the Samsung A800. This phone was my fourth mobile before I purchased the new E 700-the newer version to this phone. The two phones run virtually the same, just a few little differences in the way things are displayed. The Samsung A800 was the best phone I had the pleasure of having until I got the newer version. I had no problems with it whatsoever-never scratched (unlike the new phone) and signal quality was brilliant. ...The time has come my A800 took its final texts and calls today as its being replaced by a new samsung e700. So i thought what is the best way to send my phone off to phone heaven than to give it its own review. The A800 is one of the smallest phones around and fits in the palm of your hand. Its snappy silver exterior makes it very appealing to the eye one of the main reasons that i purchased it. Upon opening the phone you come across a blue screen and for a small phone quite a well spaced key pad. Snap Happy Samsung!

Advantages: Great camera at a great price.
Disadvantages: None at the price, you get a great item for what you pay!

...up to A1/A2 size, I would not notice the difference compared to a cheaper model with slightly less megapixels. Thus, I was directed towards the 10MP Samsung ES55. I had wanted something with excellent picture quality that I could use in low light conditions, taking pictures in clubs and indoors. I would also use the camera to take pictures for my business. But, more poignantly, I needed something cheap! I'm pretty broke and I had expected to fork out quite a lot for a quality camera to meet my requirements. I'm also quite interested in art, so as a hobby, had intended on taking up a bit of photography. ...the direction of certain phones, he had obviously forgotten that I had asked for advice! I can actually read the displays: I was after a phone that was comparable to the S100 or so ? I wasn?t too interested in a colour screen or the ability to upload photos from the computer etc. The young lad pointed me towards the Nokia?s and said everyone normally got those! I thanked him for his assistance then went to look at the upgrade phones for myself. What caught my eye was the Samsung SGH-A800! And already a happy Samsung owner I looked at it properly. It is about 1/3 smaller than the S100 quite sexy looking with a flashy thing on the front! And its silver OO! Looks good! When you open the flip top you have a nice black and white screen, the buttons are quite small (So no good if you have huge hands) the layout is exactly the same as the S100...

Sexy Samsung SPH-A800

Advantages: Very easy to use and very sexy looking

Samsung U600 Fairly Good Phone, Poor Battery Time.

Advantages: Very stylish, simple to understand menu, Great camera, Good value for money.
Disadvantages: Poor battery life, weak screen, easy to catch touch buttons.

...I bought this phone about a year ago and its been going fairly good, had a few problems along the way, the screen has cracked twice now but i have been able to replace them i feel the screen is quite weak and a small bang can crack it all the way through to the lcd. I also feel that the Battery life is very poor, such as if i'm texting during the day it only lasts about 7-8 hours and even if i dont use it i have to charge it up every night or it will be dead by dinner time the next day...i think this is because of the touch buttons which i also found a bit difficult to get use to, even now its easy to accidently ring someone like the other day i was using the light as a torch and rang someone at 5.30am...ooops... :)......and also if you are nearly to the end of a long text message its very fustrating when you catch the cancel button...
