Baumatic B24, The Agony and the Ectasy
Review of Baumatic B24 by DerekTighe

Advantages: Induction is a great technology, safe, clean, fast
Disadvantages: Worked for less than 3 months, no warranty in Ireland.

...This was my first foray into Induction Hobs. We were very impressed with the speed and particularly with the fine control of heating this technology gives. Everything that can be simmered, boiled or fried in a metal pot, worked a dream. The fact that the hob never gets too hot, makes for very tidy cooking and easy cleaning. The touch controls are great, no more plucking off dirty control knobs. Just remember if the hob is wet or geasy the controls stop working, just give the hob a quick clean with one of those super cloths and hay presto. There was a slightly annoying clicking noise on the lower power settings, but it fades into the backround of a busy kitchen. The BAD NEWS: The Baumatic B24 worked flawlessly for 12 weeks, then the main ring failed. then the residual heat "h" display started flickering then the cooling fan would... Read review

Very Stylish at Half the Price of The Competitors
Review of Baumatic TON9SS Cooker Hoods - Chimney by doctorzeb

Advantages: Good Performance, Low Cost
Disadvantages: Ackward To Install

...My Wife and I bought this over the internet to match our new Baumatic Cooker. The service was just as impressive. After ordering it on the wedneday, it arrived on the Friday, and was installed on the Saturday,....sunday.....Monday, (my fault). It looks great, has 4 good fan settings, plus two excellent 12V halogen lights. The fan itself is very powereful, but (from personal experience) should be vented, (this is where the air it taken outside). The carbon pads do work well, but it takes a little longer to rid the kitchen of the smoke after I've been cooking, (this is where the air is kept in the kitchen but circulated through Carbon filters in the hood). Overall this seems to be like most baumatic appliances. It could be made out of thicker stainless, and have the edges a little tidier so-to-speak, but it is cheap. Considering... Read review

Baumatic Chimney Hood
Review of Baumatic BT 6.3 GL by drcn

Advantages: Flexibility of flue lengths, design and build quality.
Disadvantages: None

...This is a good bit of kit, I was looking for a hood of curved glass design that had a short flue option, unless you live in London or a mansion with high ceilings you tend to have to cut these things to size, with the baumatic I could accommodate the minimum distance from hob to hood that you require. When the flue is not extended with the flue extension piece it achieves 540mm, this is a perfect height for my kitchen, and this way I didn't have to take the saw to it. The hood looks stunning in brushed steel with the curved glass sparkling from the reflection of the two 20 Watt lights fitted below. The controls are electronic easy touch type that control the three fan speeds and the lights. A vent kit was supplied to vent to atmosphere, I am running mine on recirc with the carbon filters fitted, it takes two filters (not supplied... Read review

Brilliant For The Price
Review of Baumatic BT2750 by doctorzeb

Advantages: Cheap, Excellent Service, Perfoms brilliantly
Disadvantages: Knobs Heat Up slightly

...After 3 months of living out of George Foreman Grill and a micorwave, in our newly aquired derelict house. We finally finnished our kitchen. It was the 30th December and we had 10 people coming to stay for new year. We ordered our Baumatic over the internet after searching for months. We had been told to expect to pay anywhere from £1500 - £3000 for a double oven range cooker... Then we found baumatic. It is not the sturdiest appliance, and yes it has been made "on the cheap", but what can you expect for £850.00. Unless you are running a restaurant, or entertaining every night, this very stylish range cooker seem to do just fine. The small single oven has a rotisserie, which works brilliantly. Just make sure you tie the chicken legs or they tend to spring out and stop it from turning. The gas hob is fantastic, with a fish... Read review

Wobbly about Baumatic
Review of Baumatic BDW13 by susiepip

Advantages: Easy to operate; reasonable amount of space for dishes
Disadvantages: You can probably find a better dishwasher in this price range!

...it gets the dishes, and here I have issues. Its not as if its getting heavy daily use (mainly from just my husband and me, sometimes - and not many heavy pots and pans). In fairness, we are in a hard water area, I do rinse things before I put them in the dishwasher, and I have tried different types of dishwasher powder and various tablets (including Finish as recommended by the manufacturer), but this does not seem to affect the quality of the wash. I am also finding it difficult to keep the interior of the door clean, especially by the seal, which is a bit troublesome. On the plus side, it is very easy to operate, load and unload, and I am pathetically grateful just to have a dishwasher in the flat. Other points: The Baumatic has got got : Energy efficiency A, washing performance B and drying performance B (about par for the course for most... Read review

Not too bad for the price
Review of Baumatic B187SS-B by tonciao

Advantages: Reasonobly price, Lots of programs, auto timer, cool door
Disadvantages: Thermostat over-reads a bit, noise on fan setting, no selfclean

...I bought the Baumatic for the new kitchen, as I'd previously had one of there range cookers in a previous home, and that one seemed to be reliable, and was about half the price of a very similar looking Smeg model. This one also seemed to offer a much greater range of cooking options for the price, I did miss the 'self cleaning' option of my other cooker though. The Automatic programmer is easy to use, and it has a minute minder. The build quality is O.K. but probably not up to the likes of Bosch, Neff etc. The door is fan cooled so there's always a bit of a hum when cooking, but at least it doesn't get too hot to touch. There's no acessories to speak of, just the usual 2 wire shelves and a grill pan. The manual is fairly comprehensive, and the recipes in the 'cooking with Baumaitic' recipe book look great, but I haven't tried... Read review

Disappointing
Review of Baumatic Megawdss by member123

Advantages: Cheaper than other stainless steel models
Disadvantages: Very noisy spinner

...I bought this machine for its stainless steel good looks. While its appearance does not disappoint, I cannot say the same for its performance and user-friendliness. The worst thing is the noise it makes on its spin cycle. If you live in a flat and you want to remain on speaking terms with your neighbours, choose another machine. It's a fiddly machine to use. Unlike, for example, a Zanussi, which can be totally controlled with buttons, the Baumatic combines buttons with dials. Unless the washing dial is set precisely -and this is not as easy as it sounds - the machine won't work. Another annoyance is always having to remember to depress the half-load button for the drying cycle. During the drying cycle the machine makes funny grinding noises for no apparent reason. The word that comes to mind is 'clunky'. I would... Read review

Easy to clean, but flawed
Review of Baumatic B484SS by richardm_again

Advantages: Pyrolytic cleaning is brilliant.
Disadvantages: Noisy convection fan. Small oven cavity.

...Nobody likes cleaning ovens, so when our old one expired a model with pyrolytic cleaning was top of the list. I believed Baumatic to be a good brand, and the price wasn't too bad either, so we duly bought it. The cleaning part is great. You remove the shelves and turn the dial to the "cleaning" setting. The oven heats up to 400 degrees C and reduces any food residue to grey ash. It really works very well. Which is just as well, because really it's the best thing about the oven. One slight problem is that the thermostat's sensors pop out of their clips after cleaning occasionally - they just snap back in, though. The major issues we have with it are (a) the convection fan and (b) the size of the cavity. The fan is stunningly noisy. Much of the noise comes from the resonating body of the oven itself, which vibrates. By pressing... Read review
