...My Wife and I bought this over the internet to match our new Baumatic Cooker. The service was just as impressive. After ordering it on the wedneday, it arrived on the Friday, and was installed on the Saturday,....sunday.....Monday, (my fault). It looks great, has 4 good fan settings, plus two excellent 12V halogen lights. The fan itself is very powereful, but (from personal experience) should be vented, (this is where the air it taken outside). The carbon pads do work well, but it takes a little longer to rid the kitchen of the smoke after I've been cooking, (this is where the air is kept in the kitchen but circulated through Carbon filters in the hood). Overall this seems to be like most baumatic appliances. It could be made out of thicker stainless, and have the edges a little tidier so-to-speak, but it is cheap. Considering... Read review

...After 3 months of living out of George Foreman Grill and a micorwave, in our newly aquired derelict house. We finally finnished our kitchen. It was the 30th December and we had 10 people coming to stay for new year. We ordered our Baumatic over the internet after searching for months. We had been told to expect to pay anywhere from £1500 - £3000 for a double oven range cooker... Then we found baumatic. It is not the sturdiest appliance, and yes it has been made "on the cheap", but what can you expect for £850.00. Unless you are running a restaurant, or entertaining every night, this very stylish range cooker seem to do just fine. The small single oven has a rotisserie, which works brilliantly. ...I bought the Baumatic for the new kitchen, as I'd previously had one of there range cookers in a previous home, and that one seemed to be reliable, and was about half the price of a very similar looking Smeg model. This one also seemed to offer a much greater range of cooking options for the price, I did miss the 'self cleaning' option of my other cooker though. The Automatic programmer is easy to use, and it has a minute minder. The build quality is O.K. but probably not up to the likes of Bosch, Neff etc. The door is fan cooled so there's always a bit of a hum when cooking, but at least it doesn't get too hot to touch. There's no acessories to speak of, just the usual 2 wire shelves and a grill pan. The manual is fairly comprehensive, and the recipes in the 'cooking with Baumaitic' recipe book look great, but I haven't tried... Read review

...After struggling for 3 - 5 years with a standard built in double oven, we decided it was time for a change, there are 5 of us in our family and the old cooker just wasnt big enough, nor was the halogen hob. After looking at various models in electrical shops and on the web we had narrowed the choice down to 2, the Baumatic or Indesit, both models had 5 burners, but the baumatic had 2 seperate ovens, and this was the choice we made, both were duel fuel, gas hobs and electric ovens. Our only concern was whether we would use the middle burner, which is for using with a fish kettle, as this is long and narrow We opted for the Black model of the Baumatic, which we later found out to be an Italian Import - horay for us, all that stainless steel would have been a bind to clean, although this does have a stainless steel hob. ...I bought the baumatic oven and along with stainless steel backsplash and and stainless steel hood. It looks good and so far haven't had any problems with it and have had it for over a year. Ovens: The cooker has two ovens, one standard size oven that comes with two shelves that can be adjusted to suit and a grill, with removable handle. The second oven is half the size of a standard oven and comes with one shelf and one tray style shelf again the shelves are adjustable. The half size oven is use ful for keep things warm whilst cooking others in the main oven. However the small oven is not wide enough to hold dinner plates for warm. You can not fit in a circlular pizza as it isn't wide enough. The main oven is very efficent , the smaller oven never appears to be as efficent. ...in the door gives a clear view into the oven and, while the oven is on, so is the light which means you can check how the food is cooking without opening the door. As I had been without my cooker for a week I couldn't wait to play with my new one - first job, roast beef and yorkie puds - I set the temperature and switched on. Th first thing I noticed was how quietly it runs - my old one was so noisy when the fan was on and took ages to heat up. The Baumatic achieves 200C in minutes! The one thing I miss is that it only comes with one oven shelf - although the grill pan should also be used as a shelf - I think I may buy another for it as I like to leave the grill pan in the base of the oven to catch spills. Hours later - roast beef beautifully done, perfect yorkies and roast potatoes - and to test it to the limit for its first day - one dozen... Read review

...The world of cooker hoods can be a confusing and frustrating place to be. The choice is endless and the price you can pay is verging on the ridiculous. So what type of hood and how much to pay to complete my purchase of kitchen appliances? The brief from Mrs Scenic was a chimney hood. I did try to steer her toward the flat rear vented type, but she was having none of it. Now with chimney hoods you can pay anything up to £300 and on for the more expensive makes. Luckily I was in charge of the budget and anything over £150 was out of the running, so I was very pleased to see this Baumatic in the Homebase catalogue for £99.99. After playing around with kitchen unit combinations for about 2 hours I just tacked this hood onto the list and thought "job done". ...Yes, that is true. I have a photo of this on my telephone. I had a double range cooker for a number of years that cost me the best part of £1400 and then packed up after 5 1/2 years. 6 months out of warranty. I had decided, having done my chefs training, that I liked the look of a stainless steel cooker and my budget was £2000 absolute tops. (I had just sold my beloved sports car) I looked at many makes on the web, but was very keen on a Baumatic as we make kitchens for a living and have always found Baumatics reliable and good value for money. Being a bit of a foodie show off, I also rather liked the idea of a rottiserie. This is actually 10cm smaller than my previous oven which means the smaller oven is quite a bit smaller than my previous small oven.
