My new Baumatic Baby!!!!!
Review of Baumatic B180 by
Hippychick54
Advantages: Quiet efficiency
Disadvantages: only one shelf plus grill pan supplied
...As discussed in my previous review I bought this appliance from unbeatable.co.uk for £192.00.
It is a slot in, single oven in white measuring 60cms squuare and I have to admit I panicked when I first thought about fitting it, but I have to say it could not have been easier.
As it was a replacement oven I only had to remove the 4 screws from the old one and pull it out of the cabinet - it was connected to the electricity with just a normal 13 amp plug and I did wonder if this had been a bodge job (I find a lot of those in my house) but no - the fitting instructions for my Baumatic B180 stated:-
'the appliance should be wired into a 13A double pole switched fused spur outlet and placed in an easily accessed position adjacent to the appliance.'
Which amazingly enough was what I had on the old one!!!!
So - how easy can...

Wobbly about Baumatic
Review of Baumatic BDW13 by
susiepip
Advantages: Easy to operate; reasonable amount of space for dishes
Disadvantages: You can probably find a better dishwasher in this price range!
...Why I'm writing about this product:
Last August my husband had to find somewhere to live so that he could be nearer his job and we found a small flat which, before he moved in, was going to have installed a brand new kitchen fitted with Baumatic appliances - dishwasher, fridge-freezer and washing machine (the oven, for some reason is a bosch).
We had absolutely no choice about appliance brand or models, but as we had got such a good deal on the flat, we went along with what the builders stipulated for the whole of the development (I had seen Baumatic products advertised in 'House & Garden' magazine so its not as if I hadn't heard of them before, but didn't know anyone who'd actually got one of these appliances).
I had a look on the Baumatic website, which has a glamorous 'life style' feel to it.
It scores reasonably well...

Baumatic B24, The Agony and the Ectasy
Review of Baumatic B24 by
DerekTighe
Advantages: Induction is a great technology, safe, clean, fast
Disadvantages: Worked for less than 3 months, no warranty in Ireland.
...This was my first foray into Induction Hobs.
We were very impressed with the speed and particularly with the fine control of heating this technology gives.
Everything that can be simmered, boiled or fried in a metal pot, worked a dream.
The fact that the hob never gets too hot, makes for very tidy cooking and easy cleaning.
The touch controls are great, no more plucking off dirty control knobs.
Just remember if the hob is wet or geasy the controls stop working, just give the hob a quick clean with one of those super cloths and hay presto.
There was a slightly annoying clicking noise on the lower power settings, but it fades into the backround of a busy kitchen.
The BAD NEWS:
The Baumatic B24 worked flawlessly for 12 weeks,
then the main ring failed.
then the residual heat "h" display started flickering...

Quirky, but Very Pretty, Baumatic
Review of Baumatic Frost-Free Fridge Freezer BF272SL by
oscarn
Advantages: Stylish; Compact
Disadvantages: Noisy Compressor; Cramped Freezer Drawers
...It was more difficult than I realised trying to find a silver fridge freezer to match the exact dimensions we needed in our new kitchen, and I stumbled across this Baumatic completely by accident whilst browsing the 'net. However, I noticed it had a very attractive price (we paid £260) and looked smart in the photos, but I was still filled with trepidation when the delivery day arrived as we had not seen it 'in the flesh'.
Firstly, I must say that this is a very stylish F/Freezer (as far as these things go!) and everyone who has seen it has commented on it. The silver finish is attractive and appears to be mark-resistant - the colour looks as if it is made up of a 'thread-like' appearance, and with its doors unencumbered by bulky handles, the machine is very sleek indeed. The Baumatic name is depicted in 50's style silver relief...

wish we had bought one sooner
Review of Baumatic BT2750 by
gail1401
Advantages: large hob for 4 pans or more, large fan oven, and small oven to spit roast chickent
Disadvantages: rattles a lot /vibration noise
...After struggling for 3 - 5 years with a standard built in double oven, we decided it was time for a change, there are 5 of us in our family and the old cooker just wasnt big enough, nor was the halogen hob.
After looking at various models in electrical shops and on the web we had narrowed the choice down to 2, the Baumatic or Indesit, both models had 5 burners, but the baumatic had 2 seperate ovens, and this was the choice we made, both were duel fuel, gas hobs and electric ovens.
Our only concern was whether we would use the middle burner, which is for using with a fish kettle, as this is long and narrow
We opted for the Black model of the Baumatic, which we later found out to be an Italian Import - horay for us, all that stainless steel would have been a bind to clean, although this does have a stainless steel hob.
We...

Baumatic oven
Review of Baumatic BT3500 by
drow22
Advantages: Gas hob electric oven looks nice
Disadvantages: Small second oven
...I bought the baumatic oven and along with stainless steel backsplash and and stainless steel hood. It looks good and so far haven't had any problems with it and have had it for over a year.
Ovens:
The cooker has two ovens, one standard size oven that comes with two shelves that can be adjusted to suit and a grill, with removable handle. The second oven is half the size of a standard oven and comes with one shelf and one tray style shelf again the shelves are adjustable.
The half size oven is use ful for keep things warm whilst cooking others in the main oven. However the small oven is not wide enough to hold dinner plates for warm. You can not fit in a circlular pizza as it isn't wide enough. The main oven is very efficent , the smaller oven never appears to be as efficent.
To control the ovens there are three knobs to use, two...

Baumatic Chimney Hood
Review of Baumatic BT 6.3 GL by
drcn
Advantages: Flexibility of flue lengths, design and build quality.
Disadvantages: None
...This is a good bit of kit, I was looking for a hood of curved glass design that had a short flue option, unless you live in London or a mansion with high ceilings you tend to have to cut these things to size, with the baumatic I could accommodate the minimum distance from hob to hood that you require. When the flue is not extended with the flue extension piece it achieves 540mm, this is a perfect height for my kitchen, and this way I didn't have to take the saw to it.
The hood looks stunning in brushed steel with the curved glass sparkling from the reflection of the two 20 Watt lights fitted below. The controls are electronic easy touch type that control the three fan speeds and the lights.
A vent kit was supplied to vent to atmosphere, I am running mine on recirc with the carbon filters fitted, it takes two filters (not...

...loves to cook and entertain.
*Other Info*
I purchased this cooker from a local electrical shop - the shop is quite strange as it sells beds too?! Well you can buy this cooker from all good electrical shops like curry's, but if you prefer to just order it from the internet. Have a look at this site:

Baumatic Hob B68ss
Review of Baumatic B 68 SS by
goldenglory
Advantages: Easy to clean, very functional, solid hard wearing cast iron pan stands
Disadvantages: None
...I bought this hob in February 2007 and my kitchen fitter fitted it with no problems except he said the electric cable (for the electronic ignition) wasn't very long.
It is very easy to use with the ignition being automatic when you turn the knobs. The gas flame is very controllable, from a minium size flame to, what seems, a very powerful flame. There are two medium size gas burners, a small one, a large one and a wok burner. I tend to use the small and medium burners the most. Even for a large frying pan the medium burner is fine. The wok burner is excellent.
The cast iron pan stands are very solid and hard wearing gives the hob an impressive look.
All parts come off quickly and it is very easy to keep clean.
The only slight critisim is, if you look closely at the hob, the metal does look slightly tinny and it would...
