Baumatic Hob B68ss
Review of Baumatic B 68 SS by
goldenglory
Advantages: Easy to clean, very functional, solid hard wearing cast iron pan stands
Disadvantages: None
...I bought this hob in February 2007 and my kitchen fitter fitted it with no problems except he said the electric cable (for the electronic ignition) wasn't very long.
It is very easy to use with the ignition being automatic when you turn the knobs. The gas flame is very controllable, from a minium size flame to, what seems, a very powerful flame. There are two medium size gas burners, a small one, a large one and a wok burner. I tend to use the small and medium burners the most. Even for a large frying pan the medium burner is fine. The wok burner is excellent.
The cast iron pan stands are very solid and hard wearing gives the hob an impressive look.
All parts come off quickly and it is very easy to keep clean.
The only slight critisim is, if you look closely at the hob, the metal does look slightly tinny and it would scratch...

Brilliant For The Price
Review of Baumatic BT2750 by
doctorzeb
Advantages: Cheap, Excellent Service, Perfoms brilliantly
Disadvantages: Knobs Heat Up slightly
...After 3 months of living out of George Foreman Grill and a micorwave, in our newly aquired derelict house. We finally finnished our kitchen. It was the 30th December and we had 10 people coming to stay for new year.
We ordered our Baumatic over the internet after searching for months. We had been told to expect to pay anywhere from £1500 - £3000 for a double oven range cooker... Then we found baumatic.
It is not the sturdiest appliance, and yes it has been made "on the cheap", but what can you expect for £850.00. Unless you are running a restaurant, or entertaining every night, this very stylish range cooker seem to do just fine.
The small single oven has a rotisserie, which works brilliantly. Just make sure you tie the chicken legs or they tend to spring out and stop it from turning.
The gas hob is fantastic, with a fish...

Sparkly hobs as quick as a Hob Brite .
Review of Hob Brite by
grafter123
Advantages: Lasts a lond time , great results , good value .
Disadvantages: Smells a little harsh when using
...BACKGROUND
*******************
In my never ending quest for a clean house , with as little effort as possible , I have been trying yet more cleaning products . I actually bought Hob Brite a few months ago and have been using it since , about once a week to polish up my hob unit .
I have a Baumatic inset oven with a ceramic gas hob . I have had this a few years now but it is still in reasonable condition as I try to look after it . I used to just give it a wipe with a mixture of warm water and washing up liquid , cleaning the metal burner rings with a scouring powder or pad . This scouring however was not doing the metal any good .
HOB BRITE
***************
Hob Brite is packaged in a bright orange plastic bottle with a flip top lid . There is an inset to press near the bottom of the bottle which you squeeze carefully to get...

wish we had bought one sooner
Review of Baumatic BT2750 by
gail1401
Advantages: large hob for 4 pans or more, large fan oven, and small oven to spit roast chickent
Disadvantages: rattles a lot /vibration noise
...After struggling for 3 - 5 years with a standard built in double oven, we decided it was time for a change, there are 5 of us in our family and the old cooker just wasnt big enough, nor was the halogen hob.
After looking at various models in electrical shops and on the web we had narrowed the choice down to 2, the Baumatic or Indesit, both models had 5 burners, but the baumatic had 2 seperate ovens, and this was the choice we made, both were duel fuel, gas hobs and electric ovens.
Our only concern was whether we would use the middle burner, which is for using with a fish kettle, as this is long and narrow
We opted for the Black model of the Baumatic, which we later found out to be an Italian Import - horay for us, all that stainless steel would have been a bind to clean, although this does have a stainless steel hob.
We collected...

Baumatic B24, The Agony and the Ectasy
Review of Baumatic B24 by
DerekTighe
Advantages: Induction is a great technology, safe, clean, fast
Disadvantages: Worked for less than 3 months, no warranty in Ireland.
...This was my first foray into Induction Hobs.
We were very impressed with the speed and particularly with the fine control of heating this technology gives.
Everything that can be simmered, boiled or fried in a metal pot, worked a dream.
The fact that the hob never gets too hot, makes for very tidy cooking and easy cleaning.
The touch controls are great, no more plucking off dirty control knobs.
Just remember if the hob is wet or geasy the controls stop working, just give the hob a quick clean with one of those super cloths and hay presto.
There was a slightly annoying clicking noise on the lower power settings, but it fades into the backround of a busy kitchen.
The BAD NEWS:
The Baumatic B24 worked flawlessly for 12 weeks,
then the main ring failed.
then the residual heat "h" display started flickering
then the cooling fan would...

Baumatic oven
Review of Baumatic BT3500 by
drow22
Advantages: Gas hob electric oven looks nice
Disadvantages: Small second oven
...for the main oven and one for the small oven. For the main oven, one of the knobs selects the function of the oven, so grill, fan assit etc.. the other then sets the temperature.
For the small oven ther is one knob that gives you the grill options and then if you turn it further just goes to temperature and this is then in oven mode. You can not control the grill temp on smaller oven like you can on the main oven. There are lights in both ovens when in use and the doors are glass so you can see what you are cooking without having to open. Both the doors on the ovens are pull down doors, with a sturdy handle that runs the horizontal length of the oven.
Hob:
The hob has 5 Gas rings the centre gas ring is very large and is ideal for a wok , it then has two rings either centre of the large centre ring. 2 medium , 1 large and 1 small. They all work...

Sparkly glass, my ass?
Review of Hob Brite by
Ali1000
Advantages: Cheap, removes burnt-on deposits, gives a great surface shine
Disadvantages: Need to be careful not to mix with bleach
...INTRODUCTION
Hob Brite is a cleaning agent for ceramic and halogen hobs. Now, as you might know, if you have one of these hobs, they have a flat, glass surface. This is supposed to make them easy to clean, as you are supposed to be able to just wipe them over, without the hassle of having to, for example, take gas rings apart. However, I quickly learnt after acquiring a ceramic hob in my new home that a quick wipe-down after cooking does not keep the hob clean. Whenever a saucepan boils over, or food is otherwise spilt onto the elements embedded in the hob, nasty, burnt-on deposits build up which are hard to shift. I tried various multi-purpose cleaners such as Cif and Flash but they weren't up to the job. As the surface is glass, you are not supposed to use anything too abrasive to scrub it with, and so I found myself painstakingly...

I have a photo on my phone!
Review of Baumatic BT2750 by
zakksmum
Advantages: Looks fab. Easy to use. Has rotisserie.
Disadvantages: Stainless steel so shows every mark.
...in the slightest.
The rotisserie is the very best fun ever but you have to REALLY push the spikes into the chicken (a tea towel to protect your hands is useful) otherwise your chicken slides off.
The ovens heat up very quickly and I find the heat to be evenly distributed.
The grill levels in the large oven are basically set at all over grill or minimal grill for say maybe one piece of toast.
The defrost feature is fabulous. I was totally bamboozled by how an oven could defrost something but basically it does it by circulating air. A revelation to someone like me who nukes everything that is ever unfortunate enough to go in the microwave.
The gas hobs are brilliant. They all have different levels of burn so suit my chefs training very well and the wok burner is very impressive.
I have put a griddle over the fish kettle burner (Centre) which pretty much...

Love To Cook
Review of Baumatic BT2430 by
mshah786uk
Advantages: Very Easy to Use - Perfect
Disadvantages: Finger Prints!!! You don't feel like touching the Cooker!!
...The Perfect Cooker? Are you looking for the perfect cooker? Has your old one worn out? Well the Best one to buy is the new latest Baumatic BT2430. Its not only cheap but very straightforward and convenient to use. There's no more hassle - no lots of little buttons which you don't know the meaning of - Its simply straight forward. I just bought this cooker almost 2 days ago.
*The Appearance*
Well I don't know where to start. Its Perfect! The colour of the cooker is silver, it has a matt finish. The burners are black and the gas knobs are also black and are made of plastic. The cooker also has four adjustable legs, which are again, silver. The oven door is very large and made of glass. It compliments the cooker as the silver and mirror effect work very well together. The cooker is freestanding and has 4 adjustable legs. The legs...

Baumatic Chimney Hood
Review of Baumatic BT 6.3 GL by
drcn
Advantages: Flexibility of flue lengths, design and build quality.
Disadvantages: None
...This is a good bit of kit, I was looking for a hood of curved glass design that had a short flue option, unless you live in London or a mansion with high ceilings you tend to have to cut these things to size, with the baumatic I could accommodate the minimum distance from hob to hood that you require. When the flue is not extended with the flue extension piece it achieves 540mm, this is a perfect height for my kitchen, and this way I didn't have to take the saw to it.
The hood looks stunning in brushed steel with the curved glass sparkling from the reflection of the two 20 Watt lights fitted below. The controls are electronic easy touch type that control the three fan speeds and the lights.
A vent kit was supplied to vent to atmosphere, I am running mine on recirc with the carbon filters fitted, it takes two filters (not supplied...
