It is very SLR-like in appearance and the added bulk of the battery-holder/grip does give it an assured feeling in your hands. Of course, this can be a disadvantage, and if you want a camera that you can just slip in-and-out of your pocket, then maybe a slimmer compact should be considered. The 12x optical zoom is excellent and it equates to 33-396mm in 35mm terms - and if this isn't enough, there is a 5.7x digital zoom feature too. The menus are friendly and easy to navigate, and there are helpful explanatory prompts that appear on thew LCD screen when the mode-dial setting is changed. ...Quite recently, I bought an iPod touch from amazon.co.uk with a gift voucher and some money of my own. It cost me £245.99 for the upgraded version, which means there are more applications to make use of. It really is a fine gadget that was well-worth buying. Fuji FinePix F70EXR - slimline super-zoom

Advantages: Features, Low-light capability
Disadvantages: A little confusing to master and a little too expensive

...The Fuji FinePix F70EXR is billed by the manufacturer as the slimmest 10x zoom camera on the market and, at less than 23mm in depth, it is certainly very easy and convenient to carry around. The zoom is great for magnification, being the equivalent of 27-270mm in 35mm terms, but I found it to be a little fuzzy at the long end. There is also a 4x digital zoom for anyone who wants it. The FinePix F-series cameras are renowned for their low-light (high ISO) capabilities and the F70EXR should be no exception, sharing as it does the 1/2 inch sensor of the F200EXR but with 2 million fewer pixels crammed onto it. Resolution is 10 megapixels at an image size of 3648 x 2736 (4:3 ratio) and other available resolutions are 3648 x 2432 (3:2), 2592 x 1944 (4:3), 2048 x 1536 (4:3), 1600 x 1200 (4:3), and 640 x 480 (4:3), with video recording at 640 x 480 and 320 x 240 (both 30 frames per second AVI, which is a little greedy on storage space). The usability options for the user are limited but there is a Program AE mode, adjustable ISO setting, and 15 preset scene modes. Having said that, it takes good pictures when left to its own devices, so why interfere? The menus are simple and colourful, being very reminiscent of those on the FinePix S1500, and, because there aren?t that many options to choose from, you shouldn?t get lost. By not trying to cram more and more pixels onto their sensor, Fuji have been able to concentrate on getting better performance out of the ones that are already there and the 6mp cameras certainly make the most of the available light. ...will use egg boxes they are great for peas . Old plastic fruit trays are useful too my favorite is plastic mushroom trays , in fact I have grown seeds and plants in many strange plastic containers. But for a basic cheap seed tray these B&Q ones do the job just fine....
