** Rant on Being a RESPONSIBLE Dog owner**

Advantages: Joy of dog ownership.
Disadvantages: Some people just aren't fit to have a dog.

... Being a Responsible Dog Owner.... There's numerous things to consider when you own a furry friend, first one being to ensure you are ready to own a dog and understand the work, time and effort that dog ownership brings. This is many peoples first mistake, especially idiots who get a dog, normally a staffy or other 'status symbol' dog or a cute fluffy puppy and haven't a clue or a care how to care for it....some muppets aren't fit to own a goldfish never mind a dog. From the dogs perspective you are the provider of food, water plus love, entertainment and most important of all leadership. Your family is no longer simply a family when you have a dog it becomes a pack with a distinct order....with you as the leader. Training A big responsibility in my opinion, your dog doesn't have to jump through hoops or dance...

I do this, because I think that we should always try to do our best, and writing for Ciao should be no exception. But sometimes I get really upset, and although I do my best to keep calm - and succeed most of the time, I'm starting to lose my patience here. ...the drink on the bar whilst I went to the loo. When I came out and finished the drink, it wasn't long before I started to complain about feeling ill. I started feeling dizzy and had to sit down as I started to feel sick as well. I did, however, run to the loo as I was sick! As you can imagine, my night was ruined as quick as it got started! I told mum I wanted to go home as I was feeling so bad. So home we went. I felt terrible - terrible for feeling physically sick and terrible for being to stupid to leave my drink unattended. Puppy Power-Being a Responsible Dog Owner

Advantages: a loyal friend, a cute pet and very loveable

...For me being a responsible dog owner comes as second nature. I believe that everybody who owns a dog must be a responsible dog owner in order to ensure the health and well being of their little doggy. I got my little doggy when she was a puppy, only eleven weeks old and from the outset i would advise anyone who has not got lots of time and patience to train a puppy , not to get a puppy, as this would also be unfair to the animal. I adopted my doggy from an animal sanctuary as she was given up by a family who had had a dog who had just given birth to a large litter. When i first hel her she was very loveable and she licked my face as if to say thanks. Being a single young mum to twins
