Advantages: Sensual guitar solos's ; Good lyrical craftsmanship ; A good folk rock offering
Disadvantages: Some may find certain songs depressing ; Not as good as Young's pervious three iconic albums ; Not much in the way of linear notes

A Real Peach of a Beach!!

Advantages: A beautiful clean beach with something for everyone!
Disadvantages: It's so far away!!

...We usually like to try a new place every year for our summer holidays but this year we decided to return to the resort of Puerto Rico on the island of Gran Canaria after staying there last year. One of the main reasons for the return was the fact that we loved the apartments we had stayed in last year and the other main reason was for the wonderful Amadores Beach. Not being a family of beach lovers after visiting this beach once, we were totally hooked and just couldn?t get enough of it! Don't..."Take Me To My Beach"

Advantages: A good story
Disadvantages: Dated, DiCaprio, some unpleasant scenes

...the late nineties, as are the characters and lifestyle. The soundtrack is a roll call of late nineties dance, trance and electro, including Moby, Orbital, Leftfield and Faithless, alongside "that" song by All Saints, Pure Shores (which actually I find I still quite like!). As dated as this sounds, it fits the movie perfectly, and anything else would not have worked. One breath of fresh air is the inclusion of Redemption Song, which is sung by the characters. I was disappointed by The Beach this time round. It was great at the time of release, good a few years later, but not so much now. If you haven't seen it, I would recommend giving it a go, but if like me you have seen it before, I wouldn't advise returning to it - it is a film of its time and best kept there. ...'Beach Road' is one of James Patterson's latest offerings (written in collaboration with Peter De Jonge) and like all of his novels it is a tense psychological thriller! Unlike many of his novels which tend to be part of a series (like the Alex Cross series and The Women's Muder Club) this novel is a 'one off' and as a consequence introduces a whole new batch of characters! It is actually quite unusual at the beginning because, a bit like a play, it introduces all the characters in order of appearance. More about these later but before that I will give a brief outline of the plot without giving anything away! The novel is set in a very affluent area of the Hamptons in an area called Beach Road. Animal hospital - Turtle Beach Style

Advantages: Guaranteed to see a logger head, the staff are totally devoted to the cause
Disadvantages: It is soul destroying and very upsetting seeing the turtles in this state

Surely the sea turtles get hit by the propellers, or are they more intelligent than the loggerheads and move out of the way of the boats? Or is it that the seat turtles are not considered as highly as the loggerheads therefore the injured ones are not reported when they are found? Whatever the reason there were no sea turtles at the sanctuary. Located on Turtle Beach, the turtle sanctuary is ideally located for the purpose it was set up for. ...Bondi Beach is one of Australia's most famous beaches, located in Sydney it is a huge tourist destination. Bondo or 'Boondi' is an Aboriganal name meaning 'Water breaking over rocks' or 'noise of water breaking over rocks' It is a 1 kilometre stretch of lovely sandy beach but not as tranquil as I would have liked, in fact it was over crowded with holiday makers and a squeeze to find a spot to sunbathe. I would highly recommend the Coogee to Bondi Beach walk, this is great day out and a chance to experience some of the smaller beaches along the way. The Bondi Market is worth a visit, held each Sunday 10am 5pm, Bondi also offers a varity of coffee shops and eating places. A nice Yorkshire beach

...Filey Beach stretches for 10 kilometres and sits within a natural bay on the rugged east cost of Yorkshire. To the north of the beach lie steep sandstone cliffs whilst to the south there are sheer limestone cliffs. ...I like to read books from various genres and sometimes there is nothing more appealing than a nice, easy-to-read chick-lit book, especially if I am going on holiday. It was searching for holiday reading that had me in Tesco, perusing the shelves for something light and entertaining. I spotted The Beach House by Jane Green and thought it would probably be ideal. It was part of an offer, 2 for £7. The cover design is simple with the title set against a metallic turquoise background with small nautical illustrations. The Author Jane Green is an English born author who now lives in America. She is synonymous with the chick-lit genre and I have often seen her books about. I only recall reading Mr Maybe and Babyville and both of those were a long time ago but I was sure I had enjoyed them so had not qualms about buying...
