Give skin radiance with Moon Beam

...I got this as a present from my friend about a year ago and after forgetting it existed for a few months but then finding it and using it again recently I thought I would review it. I've had a look on the official site and found out it sells for £15.50 for the 13ml bottle and I know you can get Benefit stuff from most Boots or Debenhams stores. I thought it was a really interesting present and quite unique which is typical of Benefit who are quite an innovative brand always coming up with original ideas. I'm not aware that I had seen any products like it anywhere else when I got it and even now I've not seen many similar things. Packaging... The packaging, as with all the Benefit products is gorgeous making it ideal as a present. It comes in a peach coloured box with 'moon beam' written on the front in big nice lettering...

Beam me up!

Advantages: Glowy but not glittery, a little goes a long way, glow lasts all day
Disadvantages: Pricetag seems steep but well worth it

...Benefit cosmetics are my new love. Kitsch products that actually work, yes they may be a little more expensive than my bank balance would like, but I do believe in some cases, with make up especially, you do get what you pay for. I first tried High Beam as part of the Realness of Concealness set which I bought after reading mureviews4u's excellent review (you should go read it!). The set includes a little bottle of High Beam, and I loved it so much I soon chose to buy a bigger bottle so I could save what was left of the little one for carting about in the set. THE PRODUCT High Beam is a "satiny pink highlighter" as Benefit put it, which when blended into the skin creates a dewy, radiant look. While it will suit most skin tones, there is a variation called Moon Beam which is considered more suitable for darker or olive skin...

...The sun's shining, the flowers are blooming and it looks like the good weather has finally arrived, and with it has appeared a vast sea of pasty white limbs- a look the Brtish public do so well! Luckily for me, I have a whole arsenal of tricks up my sleeve to make sure I don't succumb to the ghostly look- fake tans, bronzers, and my most subtle weapon of all, Benefit's Moon Beam. But don't be fooled by its subtlety- this is great stuff and it graces the faces of many a celebrity (Jennifer Lopez, Britney and Kylie are apparently big fans) ---About the product--- Moon Beam is basically a highlighter and is the sister product of High Beam (great for those with really pale skin) and it looks like liquid gold in a pot! ...High Beam is one of the greatest products that i have in my make up bag and i do not know what i would do without it. High Beam is a pink highlighter and it is used for all skin tones and you can blend it all over your complexion on it's own or you could mix it in with you moisturiser with a all over subtle glow to your face. High Beam is easy to use, if you put it on the top of your cheekbone with the brush applicator that comes with your high beam and then with your fingertips it hightlights the cheek and gives it a suble glow. It is the finishing touch to my make up and i would never go for a night out without it. It retails at around £15.50 and it is well worth it, mine lasts me around a year so when you average it out it is a bargain. Definately one to recommend i think this is ideal for anyones make up bag....

HIGH BEAM ...

Advantages: makes a 'dewy' effect, easy to apply.

...I'm a recent Benefit addict: I pretty much have bought the whole Benefit collection in the past 3 days! One prouduct that firstly got my attention was 'High Beam' -- a highlighter which can be applied to the cheekbones, brow bone, or all over the face. Actually it can be applied anywhere! (Well...maybe not EVERYWHERE...lol) PACKAGING:- The packaging was fairly plain, just a light pink box with the words 'High Beam' written in black. It didn't catch my eye in the shop, I'd read about it on a website so I searched for it. I probably wouldn't have noticed it if I'd just walked in the shop and knew nothing about it. PRICE:- High beam sells for rougly £15 in most stores (I got mine from Debenhams). It is VERY expensive for a item of make-up...I tend to buy stuff by Maybelline which is much cheaper. But I think it's worth it...

Benefit High Beam; glamour in a bottle

Advantages: Easy to apply, no mess, lasts as long as the rest of your make up, gives a real lift to your skin
Disadvantages: Maybe pricey for some, but it does last so you earn your money back

...I normally have really oily skin so I plaster on face powder like no one's business, which of course can look a bit flat. So I got this High Beam by Benefit to lift my cheekbones/browbones and give a bit of a shimmer. Well, I have to say I was really pleasantly suprised. Not only did it blend nicely with my foundation and give me the shimmery lovliness I was after but, and I cant believe I'm about to write this, but it goes OVER powder. Beam-tastic!!

Advantages: Great as an alternative to High Beam, works with a summer tan!

...I will forever be a huge fan of Benefits High Beam but this almost identical little bottle called Moon Beam comes a close second! Shimmering with High Beam

...About three years ago I had never heard of Benefit Cosmetics until a very nice friend of mine bought me Kitten the glittery powder puff, I wont go into too much detail about this but basically it is a powder puff with shimmering glitter inside the actual puff so there is no mess and it leaves you looking all glitzy like a star, so to cut a long story short, that is how my love of benefit products started. ***HIGH BEAM*** Packaging - This product comes in a small (nail varnish type) box in a lovely delicate pink colour with "High Beam" written across the front in black letters.
