Delonghi EC330S Espresso Machine

Advantages: well priced, very easy to use
Disadvantages: steam arm is temperamental

...I bought the Delonghi EC330S after realising I was slowly emptying my bank account paying for numerous Starbucks' every week (even more after they opened one a two minute walk from my flat). Definite plus point in its appearance, it looks stylish and fits in well in modern kitchens especially. It does make good coffee, and although you need to warm the machine up, once you're used to doing this it really isn't a hassle. Although the previous reviewer recommended stocking up on pods, I would advise anyone to either buy coffee beans and a grinder or buy fresh coffee ground for espresso machines, as pods don't really make the most of having a machine such as this. A disadvantage of having this product are the steam arm is very temperamental and sometimes just doesn't emit much steam (despite being thoroughly cleaned). Also, if...

To bean or not to bean

Advantages: Good value, tasty, nutritious, versatile.
Disadvantages: You need to like baked beans.

Unless you are absolutely loaded, money wise, I would think that you could not have failed to notice this rapid price hike. Even the cheap beans at Netto, which started out at 9p a tin, are now 29p. Heinz Baked beans are over 50p a tin unless you get a good offer so what alternatives are there?. Well to my mind Branston Baked Beans are a good option and I shall try and tell you why. Gaggia Evolution - Pro espresso from a consumer machine?

Advantages: A very capable machine that will produce great coffee if YOU are capable of driving it!
Disadvantages: A little bit plasticy outside but the internals are all Gaggia industrial quality

...I have owned one of these for over 12 months and it gets regular use since I could drink espresso all day! Please note that I have given this only four stars given that there are machines out there costing many thousands which will doubtless make slightly better coffee - in its price range however, it really deserves five for the quality of the coffee, but it is marked down slightly because of the finish - superb internals (exactly the same as more expensive Gaggias, but in a lightweight and slightly plasticy shell). The key to getting a good espresso is not so much in the machine as in the expertise of the brewer. Great Machine!

Advantages: Quick Work-Out, Cheaper than Power Plates, Great Results

...This machine is simply a must if you want to tone yourself up and not have the hassle of going to the gym for hours each week! I bought one of these off Ebay, and now so glad i did. Its simply an amazing piece of kit. My Personal Experience At first i thought, surely this machine cant be as good as i've been reading all over the net, people must be exagerating and just trying to sell the machine. How wrong i was.... The first time i used this, i trained at level 10 (ranges from 1-20) thinking i can take it at that level no problem, and sure enough i was ok, i did a few different positions for my legs, stomache and arms. I trained for about 10 minutes, as i wanted to see how much this would actualy do, and sales reports tell me that 10minutes of using this machine is equivelent to 1 hour at the gym. Boy oh boy did i feel it...

Makes bottle to cup training SO EASY!

...My daughter would not switch from a bottle to a cup for her milk drinks so I tried everything. I bought at least 5 other types of bottle before my husband (typical!!) found this one. My daughter took to it straight away. I have since recommended it to so many people - two of my best friends now use it as well, having tried all the rest. The cup itself looks like a bottle. However it has a spout that is shaped more like those you find on regular sippy cups. The spout is a very soft rubbery texture. It has a valve inside which stops spillages and yet it's easy to suck the liquid out of it. The capacity of the cup is slightly over 200ml - I get about 250ml in there although the scale on the outside stops at 200ml. It comes in yellow, green, orange and blue and so you can make a multi-coloured bottle by mixing the parts!!! Advantages...

Review of Batchelors Cup a Soup

Half bottle, half cup

Advantages: easy transition from bottle to cup, soft spout, non spill
Disadvantages: a bit hard to find in shops

...The B Free (formerly Dr Browns) Bottle to Cup Trainer is the only cup I have succeeded in getting Leah to drink from, so naturally I am pleased with it. Although different babies take to different cups, this one does seem to be more bottle-like than any of the others, so would probably be successful for more than the average number of babies! My health visitor told me to start Leah with a cup at five months old, which was a bit optomistic. I've offered her the cup frequently but it's only now at 8 months that she is starting to get the hang of it, and the co-ordination to manage it herself. I tried free flowing cups first as I thought they would be easiest - and they are, but they are also very wet - perhaps fine on your own kitchen floor, but difficult to give to your baby on your friend's new carpet!
