THE GRANGE, LONG WITTENHAM, BED & BREAKFAST
Review of The Grange, Long Wittenham by
kismet
Advantages: friendly owners, good location
Disadvantages: none
...My husband is originally from Wallingford in Oxfordshire. Most of his family live in North Devon as do we, but we travel up occasionally to see some of his old friends.
Last year we were looking for a cheap B&B in the Wallingford area and this was the closest that we could find.
Long Wittenham is a lovely village which is about a 15 minute drive from Oxford. The village itself has three pubs which all serve good food and entertainment.
The Grange is a small Bed & Breakfast in Long Wittenham. We have stayed there two years running over the Easter weekend so I thought I would write a review on them.
Graham Neil runs The Grange. It only has around four bedrooms, only one of which is ensuite. Mr Neil lives there with his wife and his two dogs, Florrie and Harriet.

Cropvale Farm B&B, Cropthorne
Review of Cropvale Farm Bed & Breakfast by
yackers1
Advantages: Great rooms, food and proprietors
Disadvantages: No cycle routes close by
...with several coat hangers. The kind that you can actually take off the rail and aren't fixed to it.
Directly in front of you is a large, wooden king sized bed. The linen was brilliant white, crisp and smelled very fresh. I have issues with skin allergies and find that the (I can only assume) cheaper detergents create havoc with my skin. Upon feeling the crispness I was concerned that I would be affected - but this was unfounded.
Each side of the bed are large cabinets complete with lamps. There is also a radio alarm clock to ensure that you can actually get up on time - it was difficult getting up in the morning after such a comfortable night's sleep.
Bathroom
The bathroom is very spacious and can only be described as 'sparkling'. It was exceptionally clean and very modern. There is even a glass holder complete with a glass in it - oh...

CASA FRANCI BED BREAKFAST IN ROME
Review of Casa Franci B&B, Rome, Italy by
poshtroika
Advantages: LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION
Disadvantages: Not Hotel for the softies out there.
...We Quatro Fontanas (or the Fountain Travel Club) stayed at the casa Franci last October.
The first thing to stress is that this is Bed & Breakfast not a Hotel.
The owner and his Family used to live in this Flat (Apartment) they have made it into a Bed & Breakfast and have another Apartment nearby.
We booked through VENERE.COM which we find is quite a good site for Italian Destinations, one advantage of this site is that you do not have to pay up front when you book. You pay the Hotel on arrival, so if you need to cancel there is no cancellation charges given the correct notice.
The Apartment is located in a Steet to the left of St Peters about 200 yards from St Peters.
When you arrive you need to be in the end of the street furthest from St Peters Just past a Large Church.
You enter through a locked gate...

My First Ready Bed - what a fab product!
Review of My First Ready Bed by
FunkyFaulkner
Advantages: Fun, easy to use and great value for money
Disadvantages: None Found!
...when we found the 'My First Ready Bed' (suitable from 18 months to 5 years old) on the Great Little Trading Co web site. It is an inflatable junior sized bed (125 cm long by 71 cm wide and 30 cm high when inflated) with two bumpers which run down either side to ensure your little sweetie doesn't roll out.
It is super easy to use, just put the plastic lilo style bed inside the cover, pump it up with the pump provided, close the Velcro seals on the cover and you're ready for bed! It takes less than five minutes - fantastic! The pump comes with two settings to inflate and deflate. The inflating, as just mentioned, is great. The deflating takes a while and I found it less hassle to just unplug the stopper and leave it to deflate while we have breakfast! When deflated, it easily folds into a handy carry bag approximately 30 cm...

Good bed and breakfast near Newbury
Review of Berkshire (England) by
jonathan-wild
Advantages: Quiet, friendly, informal, comfortable, much cheaper than local hotels
Disadvantages: Not all the rooms are en suite - you might have to share a bathroom with another person or couple
...Newbury is the home town of Vodafone-Airtouch and other hi-tech growth companies so accommodation locally is both scarce and expensive. So its good to find Tile Barn House (http://www.eto.org.uk/tbh), a friendly, comfortable bed and breakfast in the village of Woolton Hill - quiet and off the beaten track but just ten minutes from Newbury and four minutes from the A34 road between Winchester and Oxford.
This is a family house not an hotel, so don't expect to meet a night porter, but you can come and go as you please. The rooms are large, the beds comfortable, with television and tea and coffee facilities in each room. They are flexible in their approach to breakfast - any time up to 9.30 and apparently quite happy to feed you at 6.30 am if you have an early start. Choice of cereals, good coffee, and English breakfast cooked...

Back for Breakfast – put a zest in your step
Review of Lush Back For Breakfast Shower Gel by
funphobic2
Advantages: It will wake you up and leave you smelling nice
Disadvantages: It's a bit costly
...Having trouble getting out of bed these cold winter mornings? Do you fall asleep on the way to work? Well I do, and desperately needed something to wake me up without caffeine in! So I decided to head on down to Lush, (I feel like a traitor to the Body Shop!) where I heard such good things about a particular zesty shower gel called Back for Breakfast, and I kid you not, this certainly put a spring in my step (so much so that I now use a pogo stick to get to work!)
***About Lush***
Lush has been going since the late 70’s when in 1978 the team sold it’s first product to the Body Shop. In 1988 Cosmetics to Go was launched in Poole, Dorset, where Bath Bombs, Shampoo Bars and Massage Bars were invented. However, it wasn’t until 1994 after Cosmetics to Go went under, Lush was launched with huge success, and today they have 100+ shops...

Good little bed and breakfast
Review of Hotel Palladio, Giardini Naxos by
mcduff16
Advantages: Good location, nice breakfast
Disadvantages: Small hotel- though this is necessary a bad thing
...During my stay in Sicily on a uni fieldtrip, I spent one week at the 3 star Hotel Palladio. Located just in front of the beach in a great central location with many shops, supermarkets and restaurants nearby.
Hotel Palladio itself is very small- 15 rooms. There is no bar or swimming pool, however the hotel has a hall with a small library and a veranda facing the sea where the buffet breakfast is served. Other facilites include free internet service, a solarium, luggage store and laundry service.
Being a bed and breakfast they serve only breakfast- a wide range of local products including a delicious wide range of pastries and breads, fruit juices, coffee, tea cold meats and cheese, a delicious range of jams and preserves.
The staff are very friendly and helpful as were always on hand to arrange excursions and taxis for us...

Review of Cropvale Farm Bed & Breakfast by
giggsyrio
Advantages: everything we could want from a bed and breakfast,
Disadvantages: none
...We stayed at Cropvale Farm Bed & Breakfast as we were in Evesham to buy a narrowboat from Amberboats at the Evesham Marina so we were on a pleaure trip unlike the previous reviewer who was on business, so after doing our business on the friday afternoon the rest of our time was ours.
As with the previous reviewer we had all the same wonderful welcome but we had lovely home made victoria sandwich with our tea on arrival, provided and made by the wonderfull landlady Sue, after tea on arrival we were showed to one of the rooms in the house called Rowan, which was a lovely light airy room with a wonderful view
over the Bredon Hill (wonderful) the room was very very clean and comfortable with every thing that we needed supplied even two Fluffy
white dressing gowns for us to use in the bathroom.plenty of tea and coffee making facilities...

Toronto Downtown Bed and Breakfast
Review of Toronto (Canada) by
Piper18
Advantages: Attention to detail
Disadvantages: We didn't stay long enough!
...neighbourhood as this B&B, so you might see Brad Pitt during your stay! Rob Lowe was filming when we were there, but we didn't see him.
The restaurants within 10 minutes walking distance are the most popular in town, so you do have to book in advance. They are relatively inexpensive, and not as expensive as some places I've paid for food in England.
This B&B is luxurious in every sense of the word. The Celebrity Suite on the top floor covers the whole house and has a wooden deck that you can see the CN Tower from. The bed linen is from Harrods, you get chocolates in your room, it's just sumptuous.
They are very personable and will cook you the biggest, fattening breakfast in the world every morning you are there. They will also gauge how much attention the guests require, so if you like to do your own thing most of the time...

Not just for breakfast
Review of Twinings English Breakfast Tea Bags by
Magdalena
Advantages: Creamy taste, just all round lovely
Disadvantages: Not the cheapest brand
...I am, and have always been, a person addicted to tea. It is a rare event when I find a tea that I'm not fond of, and it is an impossible one when I find a tea I don't like (it has never happened). When I was a little girl, my family thought I was a little strange with my addiction - whoever heard of a five year old who would rather have a cup of tea than a glass of juice or something fizzy? But that was me.
Due to this addiction, I have tried probably every tea out there, and my favourite of the moment is Twining's English Breakfast Tea.
I first tried this tea when my fiancee bought it instead of our usual brand, which incidentally is Asda's own, which , for a non-brand tea, is excellent. He had fancied trying something different, and I'm glad that he did.
Twinings as a company was born in 1706, so they're a well...
