The linen on my marriage bed
Advantages: Long lasting good quality
Disadvantages: Price
...In 1841 Dorma linen was created by the Roberts brothers of Manchester. By 1920 it was possible top buy prepackaged bedlinen In the 60's Dorma was one of the first to produce colored bed linen
In the mid seventies I got married on the wedding present list was bed linen. We received some Dorma sheets and duvet covers. I was organizing our bed linen drawer the other day and realized that we still have some of the Dorma bed linen we were given, colours faded a little but still servicable30 years later. The sheets were a red colour the duvet cover a bold red and cream print , we have not used the duvet cover for a few years as we now have a king sized quilt and the duvetr cover was a double quilt size. Dorma bed linen comes in a variety of colours and prints. Bold reds, black, pink, blues and traditional whites they designs are quite...

It's a Bed...
Advantages: Easy to put together, great price
Disadvantages: See review
...For some reason, Mum always liked having a spare bedroom. We live in a 4 bedroom house, and originally, there was the Master room for mum, then a bedroom for my sister, and me and my two brothers shared the next room, leaving another free. Jaimie then moved out, leaving her room free, and Robert moved into the previously spare room. Liam and I then shared rooms. That was back in 1994 or something, and we kept sharing from then on. Eventually, however, it got to the point where we were a bit too old to be sharing a room, and so I kicked Liam out into the spare room, where he slept on a sofa. That was about 2006, and things were fine. I took apart the bunkbeds, and had one, while he was content with the settee.
The first thing on our lists of needed things, was a new bed. Liam needed a bed point blank, and I wanted to get a double bed...

The Complete Bed
Advantages: Quick to inflate
Disadvantages: Cover may not be sufficient for the winter months
...When we are not working, we like the odd occasional night out, and normally that would involve dropping Ben off to a baby sitters and all the hassle that goes with it. Sometimes Ben is all up for the idea of going to nanny and granddad's and when we first get there he's fine, but when we go to leave he doesn't want to stay, so it's the usual persuasion and then when we do leave, neither of us enjoy ourselves because we feel guilty for leaving him.
We decided that the best thing to do was to get some one to come to us instead to look after him, so we did that in the form of one of Steph's younger sisters, she was happy enough to do this as it meant she would earn a little bit of cash to get credit for her phone and for magazines and make up!!
The problem was we only have a two bedroom flat with only two beds, so where would she...

bed ready made
Advantages: handy for sleepovers
Disadvantages: no pillow and expensive
...My son received on of these for Christmas from a friend of mine. She said it would become a practical present and oh my it has been.
The design
The design on our one is of In the night garden every childs favorite at the moment I think, Although I do believe they come in different choices, such as Fifi, Thomas the tank, Noddy, Dora and various other characters.
My first ready bed has been very well designed it has a built in headboard designed for extra comfort, safety bolsters either side designed so the little un cant roll out, has an air filled mattress and a removable cover which is machine washable at 30 degrees.
To inflates the bed is simple as it comes with its own foot pump, and believe me it only takes 4-5 mins to inflate. Deflation takes a little longer but is simple to do just roll the bed and make the air come out...

Beds.... Eventually
Advantages: good deals, good quality
Disadvantages: little contact from the delivery depot
...I ordered a bed from Bensons in Horwich back in February of this year, when I initially placed the order I was living in Harrogate in staff accomodation, I had spoken to my temp manager and she was OK with me having my own bed and as my room was large enough for a double I decided thats what I would go for. But due to the leave dates for the job I had the earliest I could get it delivered was going to be the 19th March almost 6 weeks away. But the deal I was getting was very good and I was in no real hurry. So I paid my deposit and waited.
Then as mentioned in other places I was transferred from Harrogate to Lydd and obviously delievery to North Yorkshire was no good when I was living in Kent, so I called them as firstly asked if I could cancel the order but was told politely but firmly that it wouldn't be possible as my contract...

White linen: a classic gift
Advantages: Beautifully packaged light and fresh
Disadvantages: None!
...Although I am a man and obviously don't wear White Linen perfume myself (!) this is a perfume that has been a firm favourite amongst the women in my family for many, many years and is always a perfect Christmas or Birthday gift!
It is one of the classic Estee Lauder fragrances and has a light and fresh fragrance that is perfect for summer and reminds me of fruit. It has an almost sweet smell that has a strong presence but is by no means overpowering but has good staying power.
The cost is approx. £30 for a 75ml bottle for an eau de toilette spray. Estee Lauder have also launched a perfume stick that is about the size of a lip stick and you dab this on your wrists and neck etc and is very useful for handbags for nights out etc! The cost of the perfume stick is only about £15 and makes a great small present.
They used to also make...

Time For Bed!!
Advantages: Ideal for very young children.
Disadvantages: None
....
- The Content -
As the title suggests, this is all about the routine involved for Sam and most children before going to bed.
It begins with 'When it's time for bed, there's lots for us to do'. The rest of the book depicts an activity that Sam has to undertake before getting in to bed and on each page he is joined by one of his cuddly toys, e.g. having a bath, getting a drink, cleaning their teeth, until finally they all snuggle in to bed.
- Overall -
This is a great book for pre-school children from about 12 months onwards:
~ It's just the right length and format given that it is a board book.
~ The font used is very clear and simple with no fancy loops or unusual 'a' letters.
~ Young children can relate to the activities and routine that need to take place prior to going to bed.
~ The use of the animals undertaking each activity...

READY FOR BED
Advantages: Easy to inflate, easily transportable
Disadvantages: Difficult to find punctures
...We bought two ready beds - Barbie for my 3 year old daughter, and Bob the Builder for my 5 year old son.
Both my children were very excited and couldn't wait to try the beds out.
The literature promises that you can blow the bed up, using the hand pump within 4 minutes - this was true - and very easy to accomplish.
The bed has an inner part that is inflatable, and fits inside a snug fleecey sleeping bag. You can blow it up full - which in my view is a little hard. My children prefer it slightly soft, which molds better to their bodies. The pillow though is very hard.
For my daughter it was an instant hit - she would sleep in it every night if she could. My son however, did not take to it, and has never spent a full night in it.
My daughter's unfortunately developed a puncture ( which I feel was down to all the jumping...

My First Bed
Advantages: Perefct height for a toddler
Disadvantages: it's not big enough if you have to lie beside them!
...When our daughter was 18 months she was a very active child in her sleep. Her cot was no longer big enough for her to comfortably move around in the cot!
We had seen a small bed in IKEA which was a toddler bed which could extend with the child! It also on one side had a rail which would prevent them falling out!
The bed at the time cost £65 for the base and the mattress was £45. But now I believe they sell it as a combined package for about £105!
The Bed came as a flat pack which my hubby found easy to make and put together! He put the frame together in about 20 minutes and the slates took about 10 mins and another 5 minutes to screw onto the bed to hold them securely! The instructions were easy to follow and all screws and keys were there to help you along the way!
The bed was up and was light to move into the position...

quality,cheap bed linen in London
Advantages: helpful staff,good quality,good prices
Disadvantages: there`s only 1 branch-its in SW London
...Usually when I buy bedding I order it from a catalogue or someone else does the shopping!Recently I decided to get some new stuff and something possessed me to go shopping myself so I decided to have a look locally and happened across a lttle shop I had never noticed before-DREAMWORLD.
I wandered in and had a look around,I was surprised at the amount of different stuff in the shop-they had almost everything.
Apart from the usual pillows, sheets, duvets and all the associated items they had :-
Bathrobes
Bathmats
Tablecloths
Curtains
Towels(nice thick fluffy ones)
Flannels
Teacloths
Throws
and other bits and pieces!
Having had a look around I chose a goose feather and down duvet that was made by a german company called Die Zudecke which I was assured was top quality, hence it was backed by a genuine, written 10 YEAR...
