...When we are not working, we like the odd occasional night out, and normally that would involve dropping Ben off to a baby sitters and all the hassle that goes with it. The design The design on our one is of In the night garden every childs favorite at the moment I think, Although I do believe they come in different choices, such as Fifi, Thomas the tank, Noddy, Dora and various other characters. My first ready bed has been very well designed it has a built in headboard designed for extra comfort, safety bolsters either side designed so the little un cant roll out, has an air filled mattress and a removable cover which is machine washable at 30 degrees. To inflates the bed is simple as it comes with its own foot pump, and believe me it only takes 4-5 mins to inflate. Deflation takes a little longer but is simple to do just roll the bed and make the air come out...

...I ordered a bed from Bensons in Horwich back in February of this year, when I initially placed the order I was living in Harrogate in staff accomodation, I had spoken to my temp manager and she was OK with me having my own bed and as my room was large enough for a double I decided thats what I would go for. But due to the leave dates for the job I had the earliest I could get it delivered was going to be the 19th March almost 6 weeks away. But the deal I was getting was very good and I was in no real hurry. So I paid my deposit and waited. Then as mentioned in other places I was transferred from Harrogate to Lydd and obviously delievery to North Yorkshire was no good when I was living in Kent, so I called them as firstly asked if I could cancel the order but was told politely but firmly that it wouldn't be possible as my contract...

My First Bed

Advantages: Perefct height for a toddler
Disadvantages: it's not big enough if you have to lie beside them!

...When our daughter was 18 months she was a very active child in her sleep. Her cot was no longer big enough for her to comfortably move around in the cot! We had seen a small bed in IKEA which was a toddler bed which could extend with the child! It also on one side had a rail which would prevent them falling out! The bed at the time cost £65 for the base and the mattress was £45. But now I believe they sell it as a combined package for about £105! The Bed came as a flat pack which my hubby found easy to make and put together! He put the frame together in about 20 minutes and the slates took about 10 mins and another 5 minutes to screw onto the bed to hold them securely! The instructions were easy to follow and all screws and keys were there to help you along the way! The bed was up and was light to move into the position...

Review of Ikea Ajustable Toddler Bed

My First Ready Bed - what a fab product!

Advantages: Fun, easy to use and great value for money

...My daughter recently grew out of her Samsonite Pop Up Bubble Travel Cot (which I have also reviewed) and we decided that, as she had moved from a cot into a 'Big Girl's Bed' in her room, it was time to make the move with our travel sleeping arrangements as well. We thought about just letting her go in a standard bed, but felt that as she was in a junior bed at home (which is only 90 cm off the ground) it would be a bit much to expect her to cope with potentially falling from such a great height when she is meant to be enjoying her holidays! So we looked around and found surprisingly little available. There are some roll out foam beds, some futon mattress style ones and the rest are just sleeping bags to go on top of standard beds to keep the child all tucked in. We didn't really like any of these options, so were really pleased...

Publisher - Puffin Baby ISBN 0-14-350193-3 RRP - £3.99 - paperback. The Story. This is a simple short story about a little girl called Sophie who is at the stage of her development where she is moving from the security of her cot to a very big bed. The only problem is that she loves her cot, she obviously has the familiarity and security of her belongings in the cot, her blanket, pillow and toys and makes excuses using her toys to stay in her cot. My opinion. I think this is a simple story that shows the anxieties that children go through during the move from their cot to a bed. The illustrations use bright colours and show Sophie?s expressions of worry and joy very clearly...

One of the things I was looking for when I made my selection was a bed that incorporated a memory foam layer. I had already tried a memory foam mattress topper and was very impressed with the added comfort it offered so, to me, it made sense to look for a mattress with memory foam included. Memory foam / Visco-elastic foam I did some research into memory foam and what I learned is that memory foam is somewhat unique in the way it conforms to your body and reduces pressure points. ...I remember when I was younger and used to stay at a friends and had to sleep on the floor because of lack of bedspace within the house. Well my daughter is reaching the age now where she wants her friends to stay and I was determined to have enough beds to accomodate all. We had a look round in the shops at the various range of campbeds and blow-up beds before settling on "The Ready Bed". My daughter could hardly contain her excitement when she saw the range that was available and in the end we decided on the "Groovy Chick" design to match in with her bedroom wallpaper, and she was determined that she would be the first to test it out that very night. If you had seen how many there were available to chose from now, including Babie, Thomas the Tank Engine and disney designs you would realise why it took us so long to settle on this...
