Visit the award winning Deep in Hull.
Advantages: Lots of different areas and displays. Informative
Disadvantages: Car parking fee
...The Deep opened in March 2002 amid a blaze of publicity and since then it has welcomed more than 3 million visitors and has won many awards as a visitor attraction. It is also an internationally important research facility and has become a symbol for the city of Hull.
The Deep is one of the deepest aquariums in the world, and for the city of Hull it has changed the skyline of the city. It has a lovely mix of aquaria, interactions for not only children but adults too, film footage and live demonstrations. As you walk through the Deep, you will notice that it takes you through the journey of the solar system and how they began and what this meant for the sea. It looks at colourful tropical reefs, the Antarctic, sandy seashores and the deep ocean trenches. It is a registered charity and is dedicated to conservation and education.

It's a Bed...
Advantages: Easy to put together, great price
Disadvantages: See review
...For some reason, Mum always liked having a spare bedroom. We live in a 4 bedroom house, and originally, there was the Master room for mum, then a bedroom for my sister, and me and my two brothers shared the next room, leaving another free. Jaimie then moved out, leaving her room free, and Robert moved into the previously spare room. Liam and I then shared rooms. That was back in 1994 or something, and we kept sharing from then on. Eventually, however, it got to the point where we were a bit too old to be sharing a room, and so I kicked Liam out into the spare room, where he slept on a sofa. That was about 2006, and things were fine. I took apart the bunkbeds, and had one, while he was content with the settee.
The first thing on our lists of needed things, was a new bed. Liam needed a bed point blank, and I wanted to get a double bed...

The Complete Bed
Advantages: Quick to inflate
Disadvantages: Cover may not be sufficient for the winter months
...When we are not working, we like the odd occasional night out, and normally that would involve dropping Ben off to a baby sitters and all the hassle that goes with it. Sometimes Ben is all up for the idea of going to nanny and granddad's and when we first get there he's fine, but when we go to leave he doesn't want to stay, so it's the usual persuasion and then when we do leave, neither of us enjoy ourselves because we feel guilty for leaving him.
We decided that the best thing to do was to get some one to come to us instead to look after him, so we did that in the form of one of Steph's younger sisters, she was happy enough to do this as it meant she would earn a little bit of cash to get credit for her phone and for magazines and make up!!
The problem was we only have a two bedroom flat with only two beds, so where would she...

THE BEST PLACE TO STAY IN THE HULL AREA?
Advantages: Clean and comfortable. Good Value For Money.
Disadvantages: Long Wet Walk From Check In to Lodge. View From Front Rooms
...WHY DID WE BOOK THE INNKEEPER'S LODGE - HULL?
In this instance it was a purely business decision. The previous night we had stayed in the Innkeeper's Lodge at Chester (North East), the Hull Lodge was ideally situated for my business appointment at Brough.
From previous experience we have found accommodation in Hull problematic, it is not a city exactly overflowing with a good choice of hotels and Bed and Breakfasts. We now use Innkeeper's Lodge's regularly in our travels and know that we can rely on the quality of the room and that the service offered is of a more than acceptable standard when compared to other lodge type hotels.
HOTEL DESCRIPTION / OUR PERCEPTION FROM HOTEL PUBLICITY
As with all of the Innkeeper's Lodges in which we have stayed, the Hull one is very well, and honestly, described, both in the new (2007...

Homely Hull
Advantages: Very friendly city. Well planned
Disadvantages: Rather isolated
...Hull in Humberside was my home for five years whilst I did my undergraduate and graduate studies. I found this somewhat unfashionable city to be a very homely, friendly, much under-rated city. It is an exceptionally well planned city and has a nice mix of ultra-modern,offices and commercial buildings with attractive, historic buildings. It is also a city with fine parks and outstanding shopping.
The maritime flavour of this historic port city has been enhanced with the construction of a magnificent marina. Then there is Queens'Gardens,a converted dock,in the city centre, which is a colourful, lovely, place for people to relax in. The city has a large number of lively pubs which ooze character and strangers always seem to be made welcome in this most welcoming of cities. The Old Town with streets such as "The Land of Green Ginger" is well worth...

Where dreams are made....and broken....Hull IVF Unit
Advantages: Wonderful, compassionate staff. Slightly above average success rates.
Disadvantages: Location. Lack of car parking.
...door behind which is a consulting room (with plenty of boxes of tissues), a toilet, an ultrasound room, a treatment room, & a recovery area with beds for several patients. Which stage of treatment the patient is at will determine which room they are taken to.
Hull IVF unit offer appointments on Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays. Once the woman has reached the required stage in her cycle, then treatment can begin. The first appointment involves completing paperwork relating to the storage of any embryos created etc, whilst also collecting the necessary equipment for the IVF cycle, & the drugs required for the initial stage of ?down-regulation?. You will receive a bag containing 3 types of sterile-wrapped needles, lots of syringes, alcohol swabs & information leaflets. You will also receive a ?sharps bin? for the used syringes. A plan...

bed ready made
Advantages: handy for sleepovers
Disadvantages: no pillow and expensive
...My son received on of these for Christmas from a friend of mine. She said it would become a practical present and oh my it has been.
The design
The design on our one is of In the night garden every childs favorite at the moment I think, Although I do believe they come in different choices, such as Fifi, Thomas the tank, Noddy, Dora and various other characters.
My first ready bed has been very well designed it has a built in headboard designed for extra comfort, safety bolsters either side designed so the little un cant roll out, has an air filled mattress and a removable cover which is machine washable at 30 degrees.
To inflates the bed is simple as it comes with its own foot pump, and believe me it only takes 4-5 mins to inflate. Deflation takes a little longer but is simple to do just roll the bed and make the air come out...

Beds.... Eventually
Advantages: good deals, good quality
Disadvantages: little contact from the delivery depot
...I ordered a bed from Bensons in Horwich back in February of this year, when I initially placed the order I was living in Harrogate in staff accomodation, I had spoken to my temp manager and she was OK with me having my own bed and as my room was large enough for a double I decided thats what I would go for. But due to the leave dates for the job I had the earliest I could get it delivered was going to be the 19th March almost 6 weeks away. But the deal I was getting was very good and I was in no real hurry. So I paid my deposit and waited.
Then as mentioned in other places I was transferred from Harrogate to Lydd and obviously delievery to North Yorkshire was no good when I was living in Kent, so I called them as firstly asked if I could cancel the order but was told politely but firmly that it wouldn't be possible as my contract...

Time For Bed!!
Advantages: Ideal for very young children.
Disadvantages: None
....
- The Content -
As the title suggests, this is all about the routine involved for Sam and most children before going to bed.
It begins with 'When it's time for bed, there's lots for us to do'. The rest of the book depicts an activity that Sam has to undertake before getting in to bed and on each page he is joined by one of his cuddly toys, e.g. having a bath, getting a drink, cleaning their teeth, until finally they all snuggle in to bed.
- Overall -
This is a great book for pre-school children from about 12 months onwards:
~ It's just the right length and format given that it is a board book.
~ The font used is very clear and simple with no fancy loops or unusual 'a' letters.
~ Young children can relate to the activities and routine that need to take place prior to going to bed.
~ The use of the animals undertaking each activity...

Review of When's it Time for Bed - Nick Butterworth

READY FOR BED
Advantages: Easy to inflate, easily transportable
Disadvantages: Difficult to find punctures
...We bought two ready beds - Barbie for my 3 year old daughter, and Bob the Builder for my 5 year old son.
Both my children were very excited and couldn't wait to try the beds out.
The literature promises that you can blow the bed up, using the hand pump within 4 minutes - this was true - and very easy to accomplish.
The bed has an inner part that is inflatable, and fits inside a snug fleecey sleeping bag. You can blow it up full - which in my view is a little hard. My children prefer it slightly soft, which molds better to their bodies. The pillow though is very hard.
For my daughter it was an instant hit - she would sleep in it every night if she could. My son however, did not take to it, and has never spent a full night in it.
My daughter's unfortunately developed a puncture ( which I feel was down to all the jumping...
