The Behringer Ultra Metal effects pedal is a small, lightweight and cost affective distortion pedal for an electric guitar. The product is also called the UM100, the “UM” obviously stands for Ultra metal, and the 100 means that it is the first Ultra metal pedal to be made by Behringer. For those that don’t know, effects pedals are basically switches that are controlled by the guitar player’s foot to alter the sound that is produced. ...; it’s expensive to buy them this way. By buying the individual units though, you would usually get a better sound out of them. But hey, it’s very hard to tell the difference. So I would opt for a multi-effects unit as I did. There are a number of multi-effects units on the market as well though. Popular ones are the Line 6 Pod, the Boss GT-6, the Korg AX1000G and of course Behringer’s V-Amp. I first saw the Behringer V-Amp reviewed in Total Guitar magazine and was pretty impressed. It had 4/5 which I thought was pretty good. In the magazine the RRP was £199. Well, I wasn’t in a rush to buy any effect, I mean if I’d waited this long I could wait a little longer. ...Behringer keep spoiling us with great quality mixers at the lowest prices compared to any other manufacturer. The VMX100 is an entry level dj mixer. it has 2 channels split for phono or line input. each channel has it own beat counter and full high, mid, low trim.. The beat counters work quite well and along with the tempo and sysc LED displays,any body can learn to mix. there is a best assist button just press this button in time with the beat at the BPM is worked out and the sysc lights will tell you which channel is too fast or too slow. the head phone mixer can play both channels at once or can be addigned to one channel or the other. the cross fader in the VMX100 is excellent useing a glide bar to stop your movements damaging it. the life cycle is estimated at 500,000 slided thats alot. after nearly a year practicising...
