Beko DVC6531: Not the best cooker
Advantages: Looks, Size, Rapid plate
Disadvantages: Cost, safety
...Beko DVC6531 Double over electric cooker with ceramic hob
We bought this cooker back in august 2004 when we moved in to our new flat in Edinburgh.
There was no specific reason we bought this one, we just went in to our local Currys store and picked this product along with a new fridge, freezer, washing machine and dryer.
The look in the show room
The cooker is mostly white in colour with a dark ceramic hotplate on top. The oven door has a frosted glass on it as does the grill. The controls are nice too; they match the colour of the cooker. Over all this cooker looks nice when sitting in the show room.
Got it home
When first delivered to my home, the cooker is well wrapped in polythene and has enough cardboard within it to last a lifetime. When I unwrapped the cooker I was then greeted with cardboard within the oven...

Beko DG582 Gas Cooker
Advantages: Cheap, small, good gas burners.
Disadvantages: Doesn't get hot enough, cant roast potatoes and chiken at the same time.
...I bought this cooker two months ago when we moved into our new house, the cooker in the house was ancient and had been condemned and we needed another one immediately to use for a while until we have a new kitchen installed. It ticked a lot of boxes, so I thought, it was very cheap, fitted into the small space the old one had been in and has a separate grill.
In reality, it is awful. I can't fault the burners which work fine, however the knobs turn in the opposite direction of any other knob on any other appliance I've ever used, thus it is very easy to turn the knobs anti-clockwise thinking you were turning them off but they are actually just down at the lowest setting but still on, very dangerous.
The grill is terrible, it takes a very long time to cook anything, and it is tiny.
The worst feature of this cooker though has to...

Beko double electric cooker Model DCV6531S
Advantages: good quality, easy to use and inexpensive
Disadvantages: ceramic hob stays warm for quite a while after switch off.
...I bought this cooker 4 years ago now and have had no problems with it, it has been extremely reliable.
~Ceramic Hob~
The ceramic hob has four hot plates, these heat up very quickly so use less energy than traditional solid plates. The front left hotplate is an 1800w rapid plate, and the other three are rear left and front right at 1200 w and rear right is 1700w.
~Main Oven~
It has a large main oven that is fan assisted, which means more even cooking of food. It has a 53ltr capacity and has two removable shelves.
You get good even food cooking and it has a B rating for energy efficiency, this is not the best but not the worst as best is an A.
~Second Oven/ Grill~
The second oven has also got a B rating for energy efficiency. This also doubles as the grill. It is not fan assisted but is great for small items, thus...

Good, dependable, no thrills cooker
Advantages: no thrills, does the job, easy to use, clean, good instruction book
Disadvantages: handle on grill tray
...Ok ok, so perhaps Beko is a name that doesn't trip off the tongue when talking about replacement cookers.
However, I've had my cute little electric 212 for over a year now and have to say that I'm completely satisfied with it.
Its of a very basic hob design with twin cavities (grill & Oven) with the usual four hot plates offering power outputs of between 1kw & 2kw, while the reasonably sized oven has a maximum power of 2100 watts.
Its relatively light at 57kg, so its easy to slide between kitchen units for cleaning etc. It can come in a number of colours from typical white, to green or blue. I chose to be conservative and went for white.
The control panel isn't particular sophisticated with knobs set for the hotplates, oven, grill along with a couple of indicator/thermostat lights and nothing more.
There's a couple...

A great little cooker!
Advantages: Good price, excellent facilities
Disadvantages: I haven't found any yet!
...of the sales staff so we searched on line for the cooker we wanted.
Dave, my husband, was doing the searching for us and found the cooker we wanted at a good price on the Electrical Discount UK site. This was where we had ordered his mother's cooker from so we knew they were reliable. We ordered the cooker but were informed that it wasn't in stock. We enquired about a couple more but only to be told that they were out of stock too, so in the end we gave the staff at Electrical Discount UK our specifications and asked what they had in stock. So in effect they chose our cooker for us!
The one that they offered us was the Beko DVC665 at a price of £324.98 with free standard delivery. We both took a look at the web site and checked that the specifications were what we wanted and it looked great so we said yes.
Luckily the colour of the cooker...

to beko or not to beko
Advantages: Good value, stylish
Disadvantages: Very poor after service
...Our Beko cooker was a moving in present off my parents bought last June.
Up until 2 weeks ago I had been very pleased with it, it looked the part in my silvery kitchen, it cleans very easily & it most importantly it was only £320. A lot cheaper compared with others similar.
Perhaps then you get what you pay for.
I was cooking something in the fan oven which generally cooks a bit quicker than a normal oven, but not on that fateful night. '20 mins on 220' the packet said, 45 mins later it was still only luke warm. I had to face facts, the oven had died. So we had to make do with the microwave.
The week before our washing machine had also broken, but had been fixed hassle free within a matter of days. So we thought, one phone call & it will be sorted.
We rang the customer helpline as provided, as thats what it said to do, this...

A Great Electric Cooker
Advantages: Cheap, Efficient and Reliable
Disadvantages: I wasn't impressed by the hob
...I recently purchased the Beko D533W from 365electrical.com and I have to say after using it for a month so far, I am very happy with my purchase.
The Beko D533W is a Electric Cooker, It has a single oven with a seperate grill and a standard solid 4 plate hob on top. It comes in the colour white, Which I guess is what the W stands for at the end of D533.
The Oven is a 53 Litre Fan Oven and I was impressed by how quickly the oven heats up to your required temperature, It is literally a few minutes and compared to my old oven which took about 15-20 minutes to heat up, You can imagine how delighted I am with the increase in speed.
The Grill is also very good and has variable heat settings also, Which is great for cooking your sausages to perfection.
Now the Hob , I was a little disappointed by how it looks, it looks a bit cheap...

BRILLIANT BEKO
Advantages: Fast, reliable, cheap
Disadvantages: none that i have found
...I purchased my silver Beko washing machine in April this year as me and my fiance had just purchased our first house together and wanted a machine that offered good value for money, got the job done and matched the other appliances we had already bought for our kitchen. As we had already bought a Beko fridge freezer in silver i decided to see what washing machines this company also had on offer so that the colour of the appliances would be exactly the same. I had a look on the comet website to see what was available as this was where i purchased my Beko fridge freezer and i spotted the WMA520s which had a low price and was also quite an attractive appliance as far as washing machines go.

BEKO CDA653FW
Advantages: Good sized fridge and freezer, excellent door storage, water dispenser.
Disadvantages: Honestly haven't found any yet
...Purchased this in early December as my old, much smaller appliance was not suitable for storage.
I found this product exceptional value for money and have been very pleased with it.
It has a spacious and roomy freezer with an ice bank tray as well. The fridge includes several shelves, bottle rack, a lot of door storage as well as handy features such as movable drop down storage boxes for little bits and pieces, 2 door rack holders that will hold a 4 pint milk carton each, as well as lower and upper storage racks and a top door shelf that including egg holder. I have found that all my milk and condiments fit easily in the door whereas my previous appliance would only hold a few condiments and the rest needed to be stored in the main fridge area.
The BEKO CDA653FW has a built in water dispenser in the door which holds several...

To Beko or not to Beko!!!
Advantages: Cheap but quality and reliable, looks good too...
Disadvantages: Shelf design slightly cramps storage space...Egg rack is a joke...
...Well I've seen the Beko name around a lot recently and the prices for most of their goods seem to be really competetive; if not the cheapest on the market.
Having just ruined my old Hotpoint by using a chisel to clear out the ice in the freezer compartment and puncturing the lining causing all the gas to leak out (Yes I know dont i feel a fool!!!) - Apparently its more common a disaster than you would think!
So I decided this time to go for a frost free fridge freezer to avoid potential mishaps but being shall we say temporarily financially embarrassed I thought Id try the Comet Clearance centre when I bagged this little bargain reduced from £299.99 to £149 because of a cosmetic scratch on the side of the unit which isnt a problem as the fridge freezer is hidden in its own cupboard.
Well I spent a week checking out other makes...
