Beko DVC6531: Not the best cooker
Advantages: Looks, Size, Rapid plate
Disadvantages: Cost, safety
...Beko DVC6531 Double over electric cooker with ceramic hob
We bought this cooker back in august 2004 when we moved in to our new flat in Edinburgh.
There was no specific reason we bought this one, we just went in to our local Currys store and picked this product along with a new fridge, freezer, washing machine and dryer.
The look in the show room
The cooker is mostly white in colour with a dark ceramic hotplate on top. The oven door has a frosted glass on it as does the grill. The controls are nice too; they match the colour of the cooker. Over all this cooker looks nice when sitting in the show room.
Got it home
When first delivered to my home, the cooker is well wrapped in polythene and has enough cardboard within it to last a lifetime. When I unwrapped the cooker I was then greeted with cardboard within the oven...

My Beko Burner
Advantages: Looks good, efficient, easy to clean top burners
Disadvantages: None that I can see yet!
...I became the proud owner of this oven a week ago. I chose the Beko as it was a mid-range price and, being fan-assisted, it is supposed to be more economic. It is only the second brand new one I have bought so it was a big occasion when it was delivered. I bought it from Comet priced £349 and delivery was within 2 days. Due to the new EU regulations I also had to pay for fitting - this was another £59.
Once fitted, I couldn't wait to use it. There are 2 small plates and 2 larger hallogen plates on the top. The grill and the top oven are the same apartment with different switches. They both heat up very quickly and cook very well. There is one shelf which has 3 different positions. The main oven is fan assisted with 2 shelves although you can also use the one from the grill too. This also heats up quickly and has done a pretty...

A great little cooker!
Advantages: Good price, excellent facilities
Disadvantages: I haven't found any yet!
...of the sales staff so we searched on line for the cooker we wanted.
Dave, my husband, was doing the searching for us and found the cooker we wanted at a good price on the Electrical Discount UK site. This was where we had ordered his mother's cooker from so we knew they were reliable. We ordered the cooker but were informed that it wasn't in stock. We enquired about a couple more but only to be told that they were out of stock too, so in the end we gave the staff at Electrical Discount UK our specifications and asked what they had in stock. So in effect they chose our cooker for us!
The one that they offered us was the Beko DVC665 at a price of £324.98 with free standard delivery. We both took a look at the web site and checked that the specifications were what we wanted and it looked great so we said yes.
Luckily the colour of the cooker...

BRILLIANT BEKO
Advantages: Fast, reliable, cheap
Disadvantages: none that i have found
...I purchased my silver Beko washing machine in April this year as me and my fiance had just purchased our first house together and wanted a machine that offered good value for money, got the job done and matched the other appliances we had already bought for our kitchen. As we had already bought a Beko fridge freezer in silver i decided to see what washing machines this company also had on offer so that the colour of the appliances would be exactly the same. I had a look on the comet website to see what was available as this was where i purchased my Beko fridge freezer and i spotted the WMA520s which had a low price and was also quite an attractive appliance as far as washing machines go.

Dimensions - 85.0x59.5x54.0(H/W/D)cm

BEKO CDA653FW
Advantages: Good sized fridge and freezer, excellent door storage, water dispenser.
Disadvantages: Honestly haven't found any yet
...Purchased this in early December as my old, much smaller appliance was not suitable for storage.
I found this product exceptional value for money and have been very pleased with it.
It has a spacious and roomy freezer with an ice bank tray as well. The fridge includes several shelves, bottle rack, a lot of door storage as well as handy features such as movable drop down storage boxes for little bits and pieces, 2 door rack holders that will hold a 4 pint milk carton each, as well as lower and upper storage racks and a top door shelf that including egg holder. I have found that all my milk and condiments fit easily in the door whereas my previous appliance would only hold a few condiments and the rest needed to be stored in the main fridge area.
The BEKO CDA653FW has a built in water dispenser in the door which holds several...

To Beko or not to Beko!!!
Advantages: Cheap but quality and reliable, looks good too...
Disadvantages: Shelf design slightly cramps storage space...Egg rack is a joke...
...Well I've seen the Beko name around a lot recently and the prices for most of their goods seem to be really competetive; if not the cheapest on the market.
Having just ruined my old Hotpoint by using a chisel to clear out the ice in the freezer compartment and puncturing the lining causing all the gas to leak out (Yes I know dont i feel a fool!!!) - Apparently its more common a disaster than you would think!
So I decided this time to go for a frost free fridge freezer to avoid potential mishaps but being shall we say temporarily financially embarrassed I thought Id try the Comet Clearance centre when I bagged this little bargain reduced from £299.99 to £149 because of a cosmetic scratch on the side of the unit which isnt a problem as the fridge freezer is hidden in its own cupboard.
Well I spent a week checking out other makes...

BEKO - Because I like it!
Advantages: Inexpensive, multiple settings, sensor drying, large capacity, wide door
Disadvantages: Needing a tumble dryer in the first place
...With extra family staying for a couple of months, and plenty of wet weather around, I needed something quick, economical and reliable, so I opted for the cheapest machine I could find that could be delivered quickly. It turned out to be the Beko DRVS 62 W and I think I made the right choice.
It's C rated on energy but, even with heater power of 2000w, it didn't seem to make a huge impact on meter readings when used overnight on Economy 7. By using the 'sensor drying' mode, it seems to save quite a bit on electricity. The actual motor is only 200w, so cooler tumbling is an optional added saving.
The wide door and 6kg load means most things fit in without a problem, including kingsize bedding, and the sensor drying means it switches off as soon as the clothes are as dry as you need them - no messing around there. It lets you know...

Beko DWD4310 Dishwasher - reliable
Advantages: choise of programs, removable cutlery stand, good cleaning standard, load quite a lot in
Disadvantages: no indicator of how long left on the program
...I've had my BEKO dishwasher for almost a year now and have found it to be very reliable. It is of standard size so easily fitted into our space in the kitchen and was exceptionally easy to install.
I t has a removable cutlery holder and a fold down rack so you can either use it for more place settings or for bigger things such as saucepans. There are a variety of programs including intensive and economy so it can be adjusted to suit your particular needs.
I have always found it to clean and rinse everything thoroughly and am very happy with it. It is also very easy to top up the salt/rinse aid. It is quiet and you can sometimes forget that it is on!
The only feature that it does not have that I would find useful is an indicator of how long there is left on the cycle, but that would be the only improvement that I would make...

Beko Fridge Freezer
Advantages: Really good size and looks stylish
Disadvantages: Wine rack can be a bit awkward to organise around
...Due to an expanding family an upgrade on our old, small fridge freezer was long over due. We needed to find something that had a good internal capacity, both in the fridge and freezer departments, but would not completey dominate our kitchen. We also needed something that represented good value for money.
After a good many hours searching on the internet I narrowed it down to a select few mostly in the Beko range, one of which was the Beko CDA660FS.
This fridge freezer was one of the largest capacities I could find of its type and at a really reasonable price (I paid £360 + £20 delivery at Dixons online). There are others in the Beko range which are larger (CDA751FS) but the external dimensions were just too big for my kitchen (and extra 10cm wide!)
We have had this fridge a few months now and are really pleased with the space...
