Europa Hotel Belfast

Advantages: The Surroundings
Disadvantages: The Night Time

...If you are thinking of going to Belfast then this is the place to stay. Situated in Belfast city center the Europa is a popular hotel with the tourists. The hotel is crammed with friendly staff who are always there ready to help. The food in the hotel is very nice and they also have a buffet style in the morning but if it is not what you like then you can just stroll around the corner into the center. There you will find lots of bars, nightclubs, restaurants and Irish pubs. The rooms are very modern and up to date and the whole hotel is spotless from top to bottom. If you are going to stay then make sure you bring a big wallet because the hotel can be pricey and you may also want some ear plugs for night time because around the hotel can get pretty noisy epically on weekends. All in all the hotel is probably the best in Belfast and there...

Europa Hotel Belfast

Advantages: The Location
Disadvantages: The Noise And Price

...If you are going to Belfast then you got to check out this hotel. I loved this hotel. I thought that the hotel was very modern and up to date and also it was very clean. I thought that the hotel staff were very helpful and they were always willing to give a helping hand. The hotel is located in the very center of Belfast surrounded by clubs, pubs restaurants and there are lots of shops as well. Next door to the hotel is a bus station. I was visiting for a week and when I went into the bus station I was able to book trips to visit what the north has to offer. My only downsides about this hotel were that it was a little bit too noisy and the price of the food and drink was high. So if your visiting then you will really enjoy yourself but remember to bring along some ear plugs and a massive wallet....

Ramada Belfast

Advantages: -
Disadvantages: -

...I stayed in the Ramada Hotel in Belfast and I must say that the experiance had its flaws and its charms. I normally stay in the Hilton or the Europa in Belfast if I ever decide to stay but because of the busy Valintines Day period I was unable to book a room in either of these hotels so I then decided to book a room with the Ramada. The price of this hotel was reasonable, at £79 a night, I think that this is a great price for a hotel of this standard because compared to the Hilton thats rooms can cost up to £125 a night for a twin room this is a great price for a Friday night, though the Travel Lodge probably would have been cheaper if you decide to go away for lesiure reasons sometimes that hotel wont cut it. The Room I received was clean, tidy and had lots of space in it, there were two double beds and it allowed smoking (as I...

Are there 2 hotels in Belfast with the same name?

Advantages: Good location
Disadvantages: Expensive and IMHO overated

...After reading the other two ops in this category on the Europa, I was really looking forward to my stay here. Over the last few years through both business and pleasure I have stayed in hotels the length and breadth of not only the UK but mainland Europe and have come to the conclusion that you have seen one room, you have seen them all and to stick out from the crowd they have to possess something pretty special, such as my 6? 6? bed in Amsterdam or my 3ft deep bath in Prague, well I am sad to say that the Europa let me down on both these fronts but more about that later. The Europa is Belfast?s largest hotel with 240 rooms and has hosted some rather famous guests including I believe Bill Clinton. LOCATION For this the Europa undoubtedly gets full marks, from what I can gather, although I didn?t wander too far, there is a myriad...

Culloden Hotel, Belfast - A Real Gem

Advantages: Superbly maintained oldy worldy feel
Disadvantages: 5 miles outside Belfast

...Where can I start about this hotel ? This is a 5* hotel that really lives up to its reputation as the most prestigious hotel in Northern Ireland. It is part of the Hastings Hotel Chain (excellents chain) and is set just outside the town of Holywood (not California, Ha, Ha) in the Holywood Hills. It is a beautifully presented hotel which has mantained the oldy worldy feel while providing the most up to date facilities. At the moment it is getting a large extension bulit (May 2007) but it did not deter from my enjoyment in the slightest. It has 12 acres of beautiful grounds surrounding it and is only about 5 miles by taxi to the centre of Belfast. It has a superbly exclusive heath spa and I tried several of their ESPA Therapies while my husband availed of the privileged tee-off times at Royal Belfast Golf Club ( SUPERB COURSE ). Also I...

RADISSON SAS HOTEL, BELFAST - Top Class

Advantages: Good central location
Disadvantages: None that I could see

...I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and really enjoyed myself. I thought the best way to tell you about it was to break it down. So here goes !!! ********COST************ A very important factor for us all. I paid £180 for the 2 nights and Buffet breakfast was included. It was on the Magic Weekend Package that I booked over the internet. Personnally I thought this was a very good price for 2 adults for 2 nights to stay in a top class hotel in the centre of Belfast. *************LOCATION************ Well I think the next important thing is location and this hotel is ideally positioned. It was easily within walking distance of the main centre. The hotel is no more than 10 minutes from City Hall. One of the things I also like about this hotel is the fact that although it is central it is out of the way of Belfasts hustle and bustle...

Going to Belfast...Then Stay here

Advantages: Lovely friendly modem hotel. Very clean and well maintained.
Disadvantages: No swimming pool or Leisure

...The Europa Hotel in Belfast is right in the city centre close to everything you will need. It?s a lovely four star hotel that was last renovated in 1998 and is now the biggest hotel in Northern Ireland thanks to its new extension. The bus from Belfast International airport drops you off very close by at the main bus station. The Bus cost £5 single or £8 return and times can be found at http://www.citybus.co.uk/keytablesairbus.asp. The buses leave from the bus stop to the right of the terminal Building and takes approximately 35 minutes. I stayed there on Saturday night and was well impressed by the quality of the hotel. First Impressions +++++++++++++ It?s a ten storey modern building with a glass front. The hotel is located on Great Victoria Street which is about 1 minutes walk from the main train and bus station, so its very...

Park Avenue Hotel, Belfast - Solid Choice

Advantages: Recently Refurbished
Disadvantages: Not in centre of town

...I stayed over at this hotel for a wedding and had a great time (as did the rest of the guests). ********LOCATION*********** I knew of the hotel but had never stayed in it before. It is the closest hotel to Belfast City Airport (about 10 mins by taxi, at a cost of £3.70). It is also about 10 minutes from the city centre, again by taxi. Although we didn't go to the following I thought you might like to know that it is close to the Odyssey Arena (main concert venue), Belfast's Waterfront Hall and the Titanic Quarter. **********BISTRO********** We did eat in the Bistro in the bar, (Gelston's Corner), the food was very nice and by no means expensive. The avage cost was about £5 per person. The decor was very traditional and always seemed busy. The staff were great, friendly professional (full of the good old Irish charm...

A HOTEL WITH AN IDENTITY CRISIS

Advantages: Reasonable Prices, good food, friendly staff, vibrant location
Disadvantages: vibrant location, noisy

...A late May visit to Belfast unusually saw me having my accommodation booked for me, and after my much disputed opinion over the Europa Hotel, the choice, made by Belfast University was Madisons, part of the Botanic Inn Group, a Belfast based company. As I always do when knowing where I am staying, it was a hop off to Google and Ciao to see if I could find out anything about it, Google 10, Ciao NIL ? so of course the next step was to get the hotel listed ready for my return. On its website (www.madisonshotel.com) it describes itself as a: ?Cafe bar, nightclub and a hotel. It?s about fun. It?s about having a great night out, a fabulous weekend away, or letting your hair down while away on business? I cannot comment on the booking process as this was completed on my behalf, however, in contrast to my visits to Glasgow...

The Culloden Hotel - N.Irelands only 5 star hotel

Advantages: Classy, beautiful surroundings and pure opulance
Disadvantages: Expensive and outside Belfast City.

...Set in beautiful gardens and forest the Culloden hotel is the only hotel in Northern Ireland which has gained 5 stars. An ideal place to stay for those who want to be pampered and stay in luxury. The rooms are classy with differing levels of luxury from double rooms with 4 poster beds to full luxury suites. I found the level of service exemplary , the staff always helpful and smiling, all giving you a feeling of relaxing in great comfort in surroundings that made you feel totally at home. The food in the restaurent was superb - near Michelen star level and the hotel bar was welcoming with good local musicians playing nightly. The atmosphere was one of relaxing in opulance. The only downside was that the hotel was about 8 miles from Belfast - fine if you wanted to stay in the hotel relaxing in the spa and being pampered but if you wanted...
