...Welcome to my Review of The Belgrave Hotel, Torquay. My review is going to tell you everything you need to know about the Hotel. What its like to stay there, The surroundings etc. Where? --------- The Belgrave is situated in the centre of Torquays seafront. The superb location boasts 22 miles of coastline, 18 beaches and lots of tourist attractions, which isnt surprising as the bay is Britains top resort. The Hotel is a few metres from the beach (this can be seen in the picture below) and is in perfect distance of the train station, the town centre and the Riviera Centre. How to get there? ------------------------ Car. I usually travel by car. The hotel has its own car park so you know your car is well looked after. Review of Belgrave Hotel, Torquay

A quieter side to Blackpool.

Advantages: Clean, friendly and great value for money.
Disadvantages: None worthy of mention during my two night stay.

...I am not long back from a weekend trip to Blackpool but as I have already reviewed the hotel I stayed in, as I had stayed there before, I thought I would rewind to a business trip I had to Blackpool last year and a nice hotel I stayed in then. The hotel in question for my business trip was the Belgrave Madison hotel, this hotel was recommended to me by a friend and I was very happy with his recommendation. My friend had told me of the great service, friendly atmosphere and the disconnection with what Blackpool is all about (ie) noise and hustle and bustle, and he was 100% correct. The hotel is situated in a much quieter part of Blackpool, it sits on the queen?s promenade, north shore, it is actually right on the join of Blackpool and Bispham, it is set on the cliffs and has a beautiful sea view and whether the weather is good...

Cadbury's purple nail varnish

Advantages: Great funky colour; lasts ages without chipping; no loss of colour
Disadvantages: None

...Nails Inc must have the most extensive range of nail varnishes I've ever come across - from pale pinks to bright neons there must be a colour here to suit everyone! Belgrave Place is my new found favourite of the Nails Inc Collection, what I like to call "Cadbury's" purple - definitely a bold colour and for those who want to stand out! Each nail varnish comes in a cute looking chunky glass bottle with a silver lid and usual brush inside. Fairly unremarkable packaging but they do look cute with the Nails Inc handt logo on the side! The brush itself is generous in size and means that it's very easy to apply, covering each nail in about 2 strokes, and the varnish has a nice, thick consistency without being gloopy. It does take a little while to dry so make sure you wait before applying that second coat. I find that if I apply a base...

The Grenadier-A Gem !

Advantages: Great atmosphere. Beautiful mews. Good Food.
Disadvantages: Gets a lot of tourists

...I was introduced to the marvellous Grenadier Pub by a friend who was living off Belgrave Square. This fabulous pub is located at 25-40 Wilton Row,just off Belgrave Square,and what a find it is !Wilton Row is a mews and The Grenadier is a real gem. It serves first rate beer,wine ans spirits and there is a great restaurant which offers such staunch British favourites as Beef Wellington,the Roast Beef of Olde England and such like.The pub reputedly is patronised by officers of the famous Duke of Wellington;s Regiment, a Yorkshire regiment,when they are in London. On my last visit it seemed to be patronised by people from all over the world, there were Americans, Japanese,Indians and Continental Europeans enjoying a pint whilst I had several superb ciders. Wicked or foolish ancestor?

Advantages: Interesting portrayal of a woman at the heart of inter-war society
Disadvantages: The subject was evidently rather tiresome, though that is no criticism of the book

Purple Rain

Advantages: Belgrave Place is a great colour, great consistency, lasts without chipping

...As you've probably gathered by now, I love Nails Inc varnishes - my cupboard is filled with various different variations on the same colour. Nails Inc must have the most extensive range of nail varnishes I've ever come across - from pale pinks to bright neons there is a colour here to suit everyone! This colour collection trio is called Purple Craze (not to be confused with The Purples which has totally different colours!) and includes Belgrave Place, a deep violet, Piccadilly Circus, a deep cerise, and Charlotte Street, a pale grey. What Charlotte Street is doing in a set called Purple Craze I'm not too sure to be honest - it does seem a bit odd! The set comes packaged in a cute little box which makes it ideal as a gift. House of David (leicester)

Advantages: Clean, friendly, cheap, good quality
Disadvantages: Use a gun, not needle to pierce noses

...House of David. What is it you ask? Well house of david is a high quality piercers in Leicester on Belgrave gate near the bus stops. Why do i want to write a review about this place? Well i get scared before i go into piercers and tattoo parlours because i never know about how clean they are going to be and weather the quality of my piercing is worth what i pay for. I want people to read this and know they can trust the house of david. House of David is set in the centre of Leicester and is a clean, friendly and very affordable place to have piercings done. They are not very tight on age restrictions but usually they do ask you to be 16 to have a piercing without your parents present although they can phone your mum or dad in the shop to obtain consent. my new favourite place

Advantages: good shops and multicultural influences
Disadvantages: quite busy to drive - better to go by train

...Leicester has recently become my new favourite place. As a shopaholic my main comments are on the quality of the shopping. The high street shops are plentiful, but not all that much different from any other city. There are an average number of shops offering discounts for students. Some of the main stores, such as GAP are absolutely huge, and I'm sure they will be brilliant when the sales are on. My main reason for visiting Leicester has been to buy clothes from the many Asian shops on Belgrave Road, these include Saree Mandir, apparently the largest supplier of asian clothing in the western world. The choice of clothing is amazing, and the prices are very reasonable, ranging from designer items priced £90-£300 to ordinary every-day wear for as little as £10. For those who enjoy asian food I would recommend Sharmilee, also...

Review of Leicester in General

Better Out, Than Inn

Advantages: Very trying staff
Disadvantages: Awkward location and difficult to navigate building.

...the case you actually emerge from the main line train station onto this road. But if you leave the tube station you actually arrive on Buckingham Palace Road, or Belgrave Road. My advice on locating the hotel on foot would be to head in the direction of the Victoria shopping centre then turn right from the main entrance onto Belgrave road. After a 10 minute walk you'll find The Days Inn on the opposite side of the road. Of the 20 people attending the same course as myself 19 used the hotels directions and got lost, the 20th member was actually aware of the location of the hotel and stated that had they used the hotels directions they too would be lost. As I arrived at the hotel lobby, I was immediately thrown into a sketch from the BBC series Fawlty Towers; I could not for the life of me get the lady behind the counter to understand...
