NC10 Review
Advantages: Very good battery life (5-6 hours), large keyboard for a netbook and nice size screen at 10.2 inch
Disadvantages: Touch Pad is fairly small
...I bought this netbook around 3 months ago from currys for 299.99, which for a samsung laptop is a good price. The screen is much larger than most of the other netbooks which are in the same price range, the processor is not light at 1.6 ghz but it is fast enough for browsing the internet, playing some old games and watching movies. Also 1 gig of ram really helps the speed, however i would not recommend installing vista.
The lid of the laptop is very shiny and produces a nice finish which you would expect from a Samsung laptop. Some of the features of the laptop are listed below:
3 Usb 2.0 ports
Vga connector
Headphones and Microphones connector
Ethernet
Wifi Inbuilt
Bluetooth Inbuilt
Sd card port
Kensington security connector
1.3 Megapixel webcam
4-6 hours battery life
The battery life being around 5-6 hours in power saving mode...

Samsung NC10 Review
Advantages: Good battery life, nice screen, near enough a full size keyboard
Disadvantages: small-ish trackpad
...I recieved this netbook for christmas and all i can say is 'wow'!
My background with computers is vast having built many and installed multiple operating systems on each, however i have never owned a laptop.
Therefore i was a little dubious about some of the things such as keyboard size, processing power and battery life.
I was looking for a laptop which is very small in physical size while packing a punch so it could still carry out multiple tasks. Buying a full size (15.4") laptop seemed a bit pointlesss as i have two tower pc's which are my main machines, so this was just to be about casual surfing/ reading emails/ browsing while on the move.
The Samsung NC10 is in my view one of the very best netbooks out there, the keyboard is just shy of being full size so no cramped typing (this review was written on it)
Combine this...

Samsung NC10 Netbook
Advantages: Lots of connectivity - Big keyboard - excellent screen - Good spec
Disadvantages: bad sleeve to store netbook - battery life not that long - small touchpad
...I managed to pick up this netbook for £299 which is oustanding value - from play.com.
The netbook is very light and can fit almost anywhere - it is very easy to carry around - you can set up anywhere and very easily connect to the internet where available.
The netbook looks very stylish and everything is laid out well. The keyboard is the biggest i have ever seen on a netbook - its almost full size which is a bonus as I have a lot of typing to do. One disadvantage of this is that the mousepad has been made very small which is a nuisance - you do get used to it but it is not ideal.
The specs for this netbook are impressive I mean a massive 160GB hard drive, a 10.2 inch screen. 1 GB of RAM and a 1.6GHZ intel atom processor. This spec allows the netbook to operate very fastly - the whole 6 months I have had this netbook - it has...

Delonghi DEM 10
Advantages: Efficient
Disadvantages: None
...Our large, four bedroom house is over 200 years old and therefore has no cavity walls to insulate. After a cold and damp 2008 summer we were suffering from condensation and mould problems in spite of extractor fans in both kitchen and bathroom. Time to dehumidify!
We bought our DEM 10 at Curry's for £99.99. It is compact, easily moved with a fold-out top carry handle and absolutely idiot proof in use. The level of humidity that the unit will pull down to can be controlled via a knob on top of the housing and there is a full tank warning light.
The water tank is transparent so that the water level can be seen at a glance and the tank is so easy to remove for emptying - and, more importantly, to replace. Try some of the competition! A length of polythene hose is supplied to enable continuous draining should you want to leave the unit...

Samsung NC10 Black netbook a lightweight and excellent netbook
Advantages: Great screen, excellent battery life,
Disadvantages: Poor speakers, personal headphones or additional speakers definitely help
...I bought my NC10 to replace my laptop which was just too heavy to be carrying to and from work everyday.
I purchased my NC10 on a promotion weekend from a high street store beating online prices significantly. I was trying to avoid big bulky items to carry as I was on crutches at the time. Not recommended but straight out of box into my rucksack in the shop from which it was purchased. Didn't notice much weight difference in my bag at all.
The Samsung NC10 has served me dilligently now being used more and more instead of my normal laptop as battery life is excellent. I use the NC10 round the house for coursework, work and even during my work lunch.
The screen is bright and very easy to read, I primarily use the NC10 at home for surfing the net to shop and for music in the background. I have an extensive playlist on Spotify...

Lets Fifa 10
Advantages: An almost perfect football simulation
Disadvantages: Some would say its Fifa 09 all over again
...Introduction
I wasn't intending on getting Fifa 10 until Christmas but when I saw it advertised for under £25 on the day of release, I had to rush out and buy it as I knew it would never be as cheap as this again until well after Christmas. I had played the demo a few weeks before the actual release, and while the game was good, it didn't look that much different from Fifa 09 which I had only owned for 6 months. With this scepticism, I loaded the game up and began wondering if I had just paid £25 for the same game.
First Impressions
After sitting through the introduction of Wayne Rooney evading a slide tackle from Frank Lampard, you get to the main menu. Now call my cynical but it appears that Electronic Arts may also think that consumers will have trouble identifying the new features of this game as they have...

FIFA 10
Advantages: Hours of Play, Smooth Gameplay, Variety
Disadvantages: Commentary, Glitches (See review)
...and again, this doesn't seem to be a problem this year. The sound quality still isn't very good though.
All of your stats are still saved within your 'Player HUB' and online leaderboards are there as always. The leaderboards at the moment appear to rank the top 10,000 in the world and top 10,000 in each country. At the moment I'm ranked around 7000 in GB, but don't have a ranking spot in the world rankings.
10v10 Team Play is still here. You can now play friends more easily. Previously when I wanted to play with just my friends I had to create a room then start as quick as possible without anyone else joining (there may have been an easier way), but now you can invite your friends to a private game. Nothing could really have been improved here unless they included the goalkeeper or substitutes, so when you're fed up with your real friends...

Wow! 20.1" - Beautiful!
Advantages: Superb Picture - Well Made - Looks Gorgeous
Disadvantages: Heavy!
...giant screens to work on - one for arranging and one for mixing - perfect!
So, what made me choose this monitor over the competition? Well, the Apple Cinema Displays are widely regarded as having the best picture quality, unfortunately they are simply way too far out of my price range. The 20" model is almost £600, double the price of this one. It's specs are stunning, however, and I made it a base for comparison, my benchmark that other choices should aspire to. I looked at many different models: ASUS, Dell, NEC, Philips, you name it, I checked it out! Then I found Belinea.
A division of German based, MAXDATA, Belinea wasn't a natural lead to uncover in the flatpanel monitor market. Although they are apparently "market leaders" in their home Germany, I have only ever seen the brand on old, defunkt and small CRT monitors. However...

SAMSUNG NP-NC10 Blue Netbook 1.6ghz Atom Processor
Advantages: Robust, Large Keyboard, Large Screen, Good Support.
Disadvantages: 1 Memory Slot, No Mobile Broadband Sim Slot, Specific keyboard key in unusual place.
...This netbook has to be one of my favourites, boasting a solid case, 10' screen and a fast bootup to Windows XP. Having played around with a few netbooks recently all boasting similar specifications, I can honestly say that I was not disappointed with this offering from Samsung.
There are some negatives that let this review down slightly, so I will get these out of the way first.
1. The "\" key is located on the right side of the keyboard next to the "/" key. This takes some getting used to when swapping from a normal keyboard and you tend to select this by accident instead of the shift key.
2. There is no mobile broadband sim socket, so you have to buy one of the mobile broadband usb sticks which is fine but it would have been neater to simply keep a sim permanently in the netbook.
3. The BIOS on my netbook was out of date...

Sigma 10-20mm - pro quality at amateur price
Advantages: excellent image quality, sturdy build, great price
Disadvantages: relatively slow aperture, slight softness in mid-range of zoom.
...The Sigma 10-20mm EX lens is a low-to-mid priced lens, aimed at the amateur/enthusiast market and available in the usual Canon and Nikon mounts.
I own the Canon-fit, so all information contained in this review is in relation to that lens.
For anyone interested in landscape photography, a wide-angle lens is a must-have piece of equipment. With standard kit lenses generally weighing in at the 18mm range at their widest zoom setting, you will be astonished at what the extra 10mm can provide you with. With this extra range of view, it's also an ideal lens for architectural photography and can make even small interiors appear almost cavernous at times.
The lens itself is solidly-built, as you would expect given the pricetag and the Sigma EX badge - a mark of quality on Sigma's lens range - and the weight is satisfying. It may feel...
