Fujifilm Poorpix F60FD

Advantages: Great looks and well built.
Disadvantages: Some features fail to impress and the overall image quality is far from great.

...Most of you who read my reviews regularly will by now know that as well as being a professional photographer, I am also part of a camera club and as such I get the chance to test many various types of cameras and often give seminars and write reviews on these cameras. A few days ago I was handed the latest in what is a short line of Fujifilm?s F series compacts and I set about finding out just how good this new Fujifilm FinePix F60FD actually is. Following on from the F50FD this luxury compact camera is jam packed full of features and clever ideas, it has a massive 12MP resolution, a 3X optical zoom and a huge 3 inch screen so it is on par or better than many of its immediate rivals on these fronts but can it carry off great photography or is it all about having the gimmicks and the toys to appear a good camera rather than being one...

Light as the Air, Nikon D60

Advantages: Very small and light, wide range of Nikon lenses
Disadvantages: Slow Autofocus

... Nikon D60 The Camera Itself Here it is, the slightly higher than entry level digital SLR from Nikon. On paper it seems very similar to many other similar priced cameras. So in this review, I dig a little deeper to see if there is enough difference to put you out of pocket. First thing you will notice is the size of the body. It is impressively small, very good for travel photography and in general circumstances. The bodies? grip will fit the contours of your hand well even if you have large hands, like myself. The 10.2 megapixel sensor is expected, but possibly may have benefited from upping to 12 megapixels or more. As beginner to enthusiast photographers develop they will be left wanting more pixels to suffice their needs. The manufacturers? website states it also includes, ?Active D-Lighting.? This is said to...

60 seconds?!

Advantages: good product
Disadvantages: chips

...and Nails Inc. that can be over £10.00 Does it really dry in 60 seconds? This product is true to what it says and it does dry in 60 seconds if you paint on one coat! That means you do not have to wait around for ages and worry about them being knocked and looking tacky. Are there any disadvantages? The only disadvantage I would say is that I think you need more than one coat and this takes more than 60 seconds to dry. This is obviously because there is more nail varnish. But, I suppose it depends on what colour you buy. It also chips and peels quite easily :( Why do I like it? I like it because it is fast and easy to apply. The brush also makes it perfect and for some reason it stops me biting my nails! I would recommend that if you use a dark shade to put an undercoat on because this can make your nails go a yellowy colour...

brilliant Nikon D60

Advantages: fantastic quality images
Disadvantages: bigger than a compact digital camera

...I had been wanting to upgrade from my compact digital camera for a while as I was constantly disappointed with the quality of the images, (a fuji finepix in case you are interested). I was recommended this camera by a friend and although it seemed a bit more than I wanted to spend, the £60 cashback offer from Nikon swayed me. I have never looked back. This camera is amazing, even my snapping results in shots that look semi professional! Its incredibly easy to use and really responsive, with a 5 month old baby I am no longer missing those moments but am capturing every expression as I wish. I have only had this camera about a month and so far I love it. It's certainly bigger than a compact camera so less handy to carry in your bag, but the difference in the quality of images is well worth it. I can't recommend this camera highly...

Perfect for Espresso- the Dualit EL60

Advantages: Grinds to a super fine powder for the perfect espresso
Disadvantages: Sometimes can't grind enough coffee in one go for a coffee maker.

...I bought the Dualit EL60 from "Whittards of Chelsea" in September 2008 to grind coffee beans for my "Gaggia Baby Classic" espresso machine and paid £28 in the end of summer sale. When making espresso by hand using a machine with a handle, you need to ensure that the coffee grinds are in a fine powder as this lets you can maximise the crème layer on your espresso. Being aware of this I quizzed the assistants in both Whittards and my local speciality coffee shop who both recommended this grinder to achieve the finest grade of powder for the perfect espresso. Though I have only used this for espresso I should note that with multiple grind grades the grinder can be used to grind coffee for all sorts of purposes including cafetieres. When purchased the grinder came in a small box that essentially fitted it like a glove so it seemed...

A 60s hippy chick

Advantages: Was it all so good
Disadvantages: wish I was back there now

...Well the 60s is a time that I would have loved to be in and experience, well ok I was born in 66 and cannot remember that much and my hubby was born in 60 and remembers a bit of it. So here is my top 10 things that remind me of the 60s. 1) My aunty Celia who was a true hippy, she lived out in the middle of nowhere and bought her own farm and grew her own products. I remember when we would go and visit her we would mock at her lifestyle even though I was in my late teens. The funny hippy chick look and those skirts and her long brown hair. She had a few small animals and was so dependant on her land making a living from it at the same time. This is where things turn around and if you could change something, this would be one of the first things that I would like to do. I would sit down with her and talk to her all about her...

60 mm.

Advantages: helps out people, well edited
Disadvantages: quality of work

...Personally I enjoy programmes like 60mm. I love to see the outcome or the house and the joy the people see whan they are surprised with the makeover. The show is well edited and gives a lot of detail of what is going on and the things they are doing. Its also a great show because you can see what can be made out of an awkward or un used space. I do how ever have one negative. The quality of the work. I completly understand the work is done in 60 minutes but sometimes the camera catches parts of the wall where the wallpaper is bumpy or not lined up properly. Personally if that was me I would be extremly greatful for the makeover but then to have the hastle of sorting out dodgy painting or wrong wallpaper would take the edge of it slightly. I give this show 8/10...

Review of ITV - 60 Minute Makeover

Almost as fast as 60 seconds!

Advantages: Great price, great shine, good brush, dries very fast.
Disadvantages: None.

...The bottle is made of glass and the top screws off and has a brush stuck inside for applying the nail polish. There are lots of bristles to the brushes and none of them came away when applying the polish. I only needed a couple of strokes to apply a nice even amount to each nail. The colour I am using is clear and it's very shiny looking. I found that the polish took around 2 minutes before it was dry enough to touch without smudging and even though this didn't quite live up to the 60 second claim I was very pleased with this as most polishes I use tend to take around 10-15 minutes to dry completely and I normally end up smudging them in time and then having to reapply which can get very annoying. I found that it lasted a good 4 or 5 days without chipping and then it became a little warn looking so I just either gave it a top up...

Sennheiser PMX60

Advantages: Lightweight, Excellent Sound, Design
Disadvantages: Sound Leakage.

...from the pmx40s. The bass is enhanced with a crisp tone, fortunatly though, the bass is produced in such a way, that it doesnt drown out the mid range. There is absolutely no distortion at loud volumes, where the pmx40s tended to buzz. The only trouble with the pmx60s is the fact that when turned up loud, they leak sound, which is perhaps not so ideal if you're on a bus or train. If you plan to use them for bus journeys or train journys you'll either have to have them quieter, or buy the pmx200s which don't leak sound[cost you an extra £10, money i wasnt prepared to pay due to the extra bulk they carry] The creative HQ-140s, although they look the same, i can assure you are not of the same standard as these headphones.[my sister has a pair of the creative ones] The creatives bass doesnt seem so apparent, and the sound is a little too...

60 Seconds in Silver Bullet

Advantages: makes nails look shiney, dries quickly, pretty colour
Disadvantages: needs two coats

...I bought Rimmel London 60 Seconds 730 Silver Bullet nail varnish from Boots for around £3.99 which is I'd say is slightly over priced for a nail varnish but it seemed very good as it claimed it took "one coat" and it was "quick & easy to apply". The biggest claim was that it took "under 60 seconds to dry". I used to bite my nails and I was finally letting them grow so I needed a nice light yet funky colour to make my nails look nice so I would hopefully stop biting them. The nail varnish is very small with a black lid and a glass base showing the colour of the nail varnish. There's a sticker on the front that tells you the colour, number and name of the company. The smell of the varnish is very over powering like most nail varnishes, I don't mind the smell but some people find it sickening and that it gives them a headache. The brush...
