...in the garden, then you shouldn't have any big connection issues (dropping connection etc) due to its proximity? unless you live in a big house with a big garden of course. You should check Belkins website to make sure this router will provide the coverage you need though as I wouldn't want to just assume it would for the purpose of this review. It also means that my dad can use my connection from his house next door if his net ever goes down (although he'd need me to give him the security password which I shall talk about below) as our network shows up on his laptop when he's reconnecting to his home network haha. This also reinforces the security aspect that I will address in a few moments as you don't know who else can pick up your network on a wireless search within your area! Great Multimedia Wireless Router from Belkin

Advantages: Reliable, Fast, Easy to configure, Lots of features, USB for sharing drives

Belkin Wireless G - Cheap and cheerful wireless adapter

Advantages: Cheap, connects to routers of all types I have tried
Disadvantages: Breaks easily, driver problems in Vista

...I bought this router as my old one was USB connections only. The price was fairly reasonable from Curry's (£58) and the salesperson gave me enough advice to feel able to set it up on my own! It comes with an installation CD which explains the process in plain english, however, the manual on the CD re-routed me a lot when I found problems after initially installing it onto my laptop. It installed but wasnt picking up my IP address. I called the Belkin helpcentre (which is a lo-call number), and they were very helpful, they found my IP address and directed me to an 'online' page which houses all of my info about the router. Belkins wireless wonder

Advantages: easy set up, quick connection, outstanding range

...my router is 63 feet away from my pc and in the way is 2 plaster walls and 3 concrete walls, and im a storey up. im on 128kbps connection and i download at around 45kbps, so hey cant complain. i found this hardware easy to install, and im not the greatest of tech-heads. everything was well explained and within minutes (would have been seconds but my CD drives dodgy) my pc was "aquiring the network address" and i was connected. my singal is low, but considering the distance, the belkins done me proud, and for the last 8 months its kept me online with out fail. with all USB dongles, theyre plastic, and to me seem easy to break, so ive got a permanent paranoia of it being unplugged and me sitting on it, it doesent look a sturdy piece of kit, but with proper care, this situation wont arise. for best performance this piece...
