Crash bang wallop!
Review of Belkin 54g Wireless PCMCIA card by  craigmc73

Advantages: Easy to install
Disadvantages: Crashes my machine!

...I bought the Belkin range of products so I could setup a wi-fi network at home. I have the Belkin 54g Router and also have a Belkin 11g card in my desktop at home, so with this set-up successfully I bought the 54g notebook card for my laptop. All were fairly easy to setup but I imagine it could be tricky if you have no networking knowledge. So all installed and ready to go. My laptop has never been the same since. I manage to work for between 10 - 60 mins then it's crash time, computer screen just freezes! This happens around 5 - 10 times a day something that never happened prior to the installation of this card. So technical support i thought, wrong! After waiting for around 45 mins on the dedicated support line I ended up putting the phone down. Email them. So i emailed them with my problem. Around 4 days later I get... Read review

Belkin Wireless G Notebook Card
Review of Belkin Wireless G Plus Notebook Card Network adapter by  D4DDYF

Advantages: Wireless Internet
Disadvantages: None

...The Belkin Wireless Notebook Card is a good product. the card is only for LAPTOPS not for computers. the good thing about this product is that just say your in your bedroom or in your kitcen or maybe in your garden you can use the internet without any wires and no hassle at all. but you have to remember you need to have a belkin wireless internet network to make this product work for your laptop. I have my very own Belkin Wireless G Notebook card and it runs as fast as when i use to have an ethernet connection i.e. cable internet connection. When i bought my newtwork card it cost me £25.00 but on ciao they are giving you a really good price for it so i recommend buying the product. if you have any questions please let me know and i will be at assistance Hope I Was Useful Thanks For Reading... belkin 54g router.
Review of Belkin 54g Wireless Cable/DSL Router by  gregory-j

Advantages: durable.
Disadvantages: can cut out without warning leaving you to troubleshooting it.

...The belkin 54g wireless router is very good when it comes to a strong signal, yet i still find it immensly annoying!!! When its running smoothly, it is no problem what so ever, but every now and then, maybe once every week or so, the signal will cut out for no reason and you will find yourself VERY frustrated when trying to retrieve it. apart from this minor annoyance, the belkin is generally a very good piece of kit for your money. I payed around £50 for mine, and havent regretted it too much yet. the quality is OK but not amazing, its built well as i found out when i trod on mine, not even a crack appeared, there was nothing damaged what so ever... wich impressed me because it looks plastic and cheap. the belkin is very easy to use and can easily be reset with the little push button on the back if it does decide to go a bit off... What a Beltin' Belkin Router!!
Review of Belkin ADSL2+ Modem with High-Speed Mode Wireless-G Router - wireless router by  mattyprice4004

Advantages: Great wireless range, Futureproof, Nice looking, Fast!
Disadvantages: Some may say it looks a little chunky

...The Belkin first struck me as a bit odd, really. Alongside it in the local PC shop were simpleton designs from companies such as 3COM and DLink for £80-£90, then there was the lovely-looking and future-proof Belkin for £69. Confused? So was I. Anyway, as you would expect, I took the Belkin to it's new home on a dusty shelf in my room. It was a simple case of Plug and Play really (Not Plug and Pray as with so many other routers). Within 5 minutes of opening the box I was happily browsing the Web, with the router sat happily flashing it's little lights at me from accross the room. And thats it really - To this day the router lives - and I have had it for 9 months and counting. Not ONE other router has made it past the 3 month mark (I don't know why either). I have a home-based Web server, and the Belkin makes light work of forwarding... Read review

Review of Belkin Wireless PDA Keyboard keyboard by  RICOUK

Advantages: Compact, simple connection
Disadvantages: takes time to set up in the first place

.... However, I contacted Belkin and within four days they replied saying that I could send it to them and they will replace it. The service of Belkin is excellent and I hope they keep to their word. A good overall keyboard, as long as you look after the hinge it will last more than four months.... Read review

Belkin 4 port - can't cut the virtual mustard
Review of Belkin Cable/DSL Gateway Router router by  exup35

Advantages: looks, size
Disadvantages: cant handle large amounts of internet traffic/ poor backup

...Now that I had two PC's and wanted to share the internet connection I was advised to get a router. Not wanting the hassle of a wireless setup which I didn't really need. I went for the Belkin 4 port wired router. The unit looks quite attractive, and can stack with other belkin units as it has grooves and ridges to allow this. At first things seemed OK, Installation was pretty quick, and I could browse the internet, chat to friends over IM programs and talk on VoIP. However once I tried to connect to an online game, the problems started. After only a couple of minutes hte router would sudenly close the connection: not only the game connection, but everything. The only way I could restore any connection to the net was to restart, or even turn the router off and then on again. I searched through the ADSL guide which has advice... Read review

Great hardware, but where is the software.
Review of Belkin USB 2.0 Hi-speed PCI Card by  Longshanx

Advantages: Speed and number of available ports
Disadvantages: Occupies one PCI slot, no USB2.0 driver yet!?

...Belkin - a name you can trust for quality hardware. That is enough justification for me, having struggled for ages (and failed miserably) to get the USB ports on my motherboard to work reliably (VIA Chipset - yuk!). So, I head straight for the shops to find a plug-and-play USB card so that I can add some working ports to my PC, and connect up my new digital camera without messing about with serial communications errors. Belkin seemed to have the answer, this four port USB card that plugs into one of my motherboard's spare PCI slots. As a bonus, it also claims to support the new USB 2.0 standard. Not that I need version 2.0 just yet, but it always pays to be ahead of the game if you can afford it. So the box arrives, and I eagerly unpack it - only to find that Belkin have pulled a rather mean trick. They haven't written the USB 2... Read review

Over priced
Review of Belkin 5-Port Network Switch (10/100Mbps) by  raphiel99

Advantages: Plug and Play
Disadvantages: Not worth the money

...When setting up a network in my house I wanted to share everything over a LAN and also split the broadband between the network. The initial problem I had was that the broadband connection to the hub has to be an Ethernet cable. This is not too much of a problem if you are using ntl broadband. If you are using bt broadband the modem comes with only a USB connection which you cannot change. Therefore the broadband could not be easily shared using the hub like I thought. The hub itself although quite stylish was large and oddly shaped and hard to accommodate in an already cluttered environment. It was however shape do that it could be attached to other belkin products in a quite nice and interesting way. Unfortunately if you don’t own any other belkin networking appliances the shape is pointless. When the cabling was sorted out... Read review

Send and recieve files the Bluetooth way!
Review of Belkin Bluetooth USB Adapter by  m_lucas11

Advantages: small enough to be left in the computer ready for use.
Disadvantages: May give slow connection depending on pairing product.

...The Belkin bluetooth USB adapter is a must have if you have a bluetooth enabled phone that you regularly link up to a computer in order to transfer files. Instead of the use of unsightly cables to link up your bluetooth enabled products to the computer, this enables you to link them up through a wireless bluetooth connection. The Belkin bluetooth USB adapter is small enough to be placed in a rear USB port of a computer and left there so that it is ready to use whenever you require it. The transfer sending speed is quite fast however depending on the recieving speed of the bluetooth enabled products that you use this with, the speed may be a little slower. This is not the fault of the Belkin bluetooth USB adapter but rather the product recieving the signal as it is harder to recieve bluetooth signals then send them. The recieving speed... Read review

BELKIN MAKES HOME NETWORKING A DODDLE
Review of Belkin Network Starter Kit by  cobnutty

Advantages: Very easy to install
Disadvantages: More back of PC wires to hide

...Thanks to Belkin, I am now the proud system administrator of a large number of PC's.... 2 to be precise!! I made my original purchase of the Belkin home network starter kit from PC World with disastrous results (please see my separate opinion for PC World) The kit comprises of 2 10/100 Ethernet cards, 25ft of cable and all the software needed to make installation easy and painless. This includes Belkin 'Netshare' and Belkin 'Netsetup'. During installation I found it necessary to contact the company's product support help line due to the fact that I am sometimes a Pratt and occasionally find it difficult to read the simplest of instructions!! The technical support line was, for a change, a national telephone number and the call lasted only about 2 minutes. The person at the other end of the line was very human and promptly forwarded...
