...I bought this product about 3 months ago from Staples. It cost me around £20.00 when on offer. I though it was cheap, so I though I would try it. I connected the receiver to my desktop PC, put the batteries into the keyboard and mouse, and connected them. Windows XP installed the hardware automatically, and I started using it. The receiver is incredibly small, and looks quite good. The mouse and keyboard are in a uniform colour, so look good when used together. The keyboard allows me to control the volume of the PC from the keyboard, which can be useful. Also it allows me to control My Documents, My Music, My Pictures, Email and the standby mode. It also allows me to control the video player when watching a film, which is very useful. The 9 buttons (Home, End, Insert, Page Up, Page Down, Delete, Print Screen, Scroll Lock...

...As some people who have read my previous reviews on this site might know, I have a 42" TV that I use as a computer monitor. This give a lot of great positives and a few annoying little negatives. One of these negatives is that unlike a normal computer screen I cant sit very close to it, this is a positive at time and a negative other time. One of these times is when you want to use something connected to my computer (which is just under my TV). This wasn't a problem for me at first because i have a wireless mouse and keyboard so i can sit on my sofa and play on the computer which is great, it became a problem when I wanted to use my new microphone headset for talking to other people when online gaming (i know I'm very sad lol). To be fair though, this expeirence was most probably in part due to the carelessness of its user ( me), as it didnt seem to work after it had been dropped a few times, this is because you sometimes are expecting the mouse to have a wire so let it drop when infact , it is as it says wireless... So since the orignal purchase i had stayed clear of wireless devices for a year or so, only to be drawn back with the price level of this package, I thought the time had come to try it again. At around thirty pounds, it is great value, compared to a year or so ago, you can get a keyboard and a mouse for the same cost as just the mouse alone. ...I bought my BELKIN KEYBOARD and MOUSE on new years day from pc world, compared to alot of other keyboard/mouse combinations they were the cheapest. The really good thing apart from there being no need for cables, is that there is no rubber ball under the mouse, i know it may seem trivial but it really irritated me having to clean it every now and then. It's now optical, and needless to say a dream to use. It's alot more sensitive as well, opposed to a normal rubber ball mouse. I also try to write short stories, and now i can relax in my old leather chair with the keyboard, and not have to worry about the length of the keyboard cable being too short, as you can use it up to six feet from the reciever.There are alot of shortcut buttons on the upper part of the keyboard, which can open web browsers, email, e.t.c. Nice laptop, FAB extended warranty!

Advantages: Good specs, fast, wonderful extended warranties
Disadvantages: Feels a bit flimsy, no indicator lights showing wifi connection, etc.

...of accidental damage support cost £129 on top of the 4-year package for extended warranty (can't recall what that cost; something like £89? Maybe £100?). Those warranties have already more than paid for themselves. We'll want to replace this laptop in four years, so it's covered from any clutzy mishaps for the entire time we'll be using it. Really, really pleased with this warranty! That said, we had this same warranty on our last Dell Inspirons (we each had one; I'm still using my old one), except it was for three years instead of four, and never once had to file a claim - though we both developed problems in the fourth year with our computers and wished we had the four-year warranty. The warranty is quite pricey if you never have a problem, but it really has come in handy for us this time and means a lot of peace of mind! I'll be getting these...

...I bought this router as my old one was USB connections only. The price was fairly reasonable from Curry's (£58) and the salesperson gave me enough advice to feel able to set it up on my own! It comes with an installation CD which explains the process in plain english, however, the manual on the CD re-routed me a lot when I found problems after initially installing it onto my laptop. It installed but wasnt picking up my IP address. I called the Belkin helpcentre (which is a lo-call number), and they were very helpful, they found my IP address and directed me to an 'online' page which houses all of my info about the router. Advantages: Fairly easy to set up, easy to use, reliable, looks good.
Disadvantages: Bandwidth Innacurate.

...in the garden, then you shouldn't have any big connection issues (dropping connection etc) due to its proximity? unless you live in a big house with a big garden of course. You should check Belkins website to make sure this router will provide the coverage you need though as I wouldn't want to just assume it would for the purpose of this review. It also means that my dad can use my connection from his house next door if his net ever goes down (although he'd need me to give him the security password which I shall talk about below) as our network shows up on his laptop when he's reconnecting to his home network haha. This also reinforces the security aspect that I will address in a few moments as you don't know who else can pick up your network on a wireless search within your area!
