Belkin Wireless G Notebook Card
Review of Belkin Wireless G Plus Notebook Card Network adapter by D4DDYF

Advantages: Wireless Internet
Disadvantages: None

...The Belkin Wireless Notebook Card is a good product. the card is only for LAPTOPS not for computers. the good thing about this product is that just say your in your bedroom or in your kitcen or maybe in your garden you can use the internet without any wires and no hassle at all. but you have to remember you need to have a belkin wireless internet network to make this product work for your laptop. I have my very own Belkin Wireless G Notebook card and it runs as fast as when i use to have an ethernet connection i.e. cable internet connection. When i bought my newtwork card it cost me £25.00 but on ciao they are giving you a really good price for it so i recommend buying the product. if you have any questions please let me know and i will be at assistance Hope I Was Useful Thanks For Reading... Crash bang wallop!
Review of Belkin 54g Wireless PCMCIA card by craigmc73

Advantages: Easy to install
Disadvantages: Crashes my machine!

...I bought the Belkin range of products so I could setup a wi-fi network at home. I have the Belkin 54g Router and also have a Belkin 11g card in my desktop at home, so with this set-up successfully I bought the 54g notebook card for my laptop. All were fairly easy to setup but I imagine it could be tricky if you have no networking knowledge. So all installed and ready to go. My laptop has never been the same since. I manage to work for between 10 - 60 mins then it's crash time, computer screen just freezes! This happens around 5 - 10 times a day something that never happened prior to the installation of this card. So technical support i thought, wrong! After waiting for around 45 mins on the dedicated support line I ended up putting the phone down. Email them. So i emailed them with my problem. Around 4 days later I get... Read review

What a Beltin' Belkin Router!!
Review of Belkin ADSL2+ Modem with High-Speed Mode Wireless-G Router - wireless router by mattyprice4004

Advantages: Great wireless range, Futureproof, Nice looking, Fast!
Disadvantages: Some may say it looks a little chunky

...all the correct ports and making sure all aspects of the setup are working. The Wireless range of the Belkin surprised me - I was 3 houses down the road from mine with my laptop at a friend's house, and as soon as Windows booted up the laptop got a 'Good' strength signal from the router! This is quite worrying, mainly due to the fact my old DLink router would freak out if you went more than 15-20 feet away from it. Signals would drop out, packets would get lost and Web pages would half load. Setting up the ADSL connection is also very easy with the Belkin router. Simply plug the router in, turn it on, connect your PC to it and tap 192.168.2.1 in to Internet Explorer to bring up the first Setup page. And, err, that's all there is to it. The router's ability to connect to ADSL-2 when the service goes mainstream is also a big plus, as I... Read review

Good, solid router.
Review of Belkin ADSL2+ Modem with High-Speed Mode Wireless-G Router - wireless router by Honest.John

Advantages: Good price, good range, trusted manufacturer, easy to use software.
Disadvantages: Sometimes needs to be re-booted.

...I changed from a Netgear wireless router (still working fine at my mums house) to this Belkin ADSL 2+ about 9 months ago. The main reason for the change was because my Netgear router just wasn't powerful enough to work on my laptop when I was in some of the rooms downstairs. This is not a problem with the Belkin and I tend to get good or excellent coverage in most rooms in my house. The Belkin also came with a USB receiver which works well on my desktop PC. The User Interface (UI) that comes with the Belkin is straightforward to use and it can be secured quite easily and quickly once connected. I personally prefer the Netgear UI, although not enough to worry about too much. I occasionally find myself having to unplug then power up the router so that my laptop can find it OK. I do not know why this is, but I had similar issues... Read review

Belkin ... Get Wire Free
Review of Belkin Wireless G Router F5D7230-4 - wireless router by Sammyantha2k

Advantages: Fast and Cheap
Disadvantages: None

...** Belkin Wireless G Router ** When i first moved from PC to Laptop i was still using a bunch of wires to connect to the internet, after a few months I'd had enough and set off to buy a wireless router. As every teenager knows, we'd be lost without our internet right? So i was willing to pay out for a good router, however when i found this one in argos i found i didn't need to pay that much out after all, it cost me around £50 Available from Argos at £49.99 Similar model in comet for £54.99 other stores that stock Belkin products ; dixons staples john lewis pc world althought im not sure if they sell exactly the same make The Belkin Wireless G Router lets you share files and a broadband internet connection among several PCs / Notebooks without using networking cables. It can be used for accessing files such as hard drives... Read review

a new version available, avoid this one
Review of Belkin 2x1 USB Peripheral Switch switch - 2 ports by coppinpr

Advantages: small, no power supply needed
Disadvantages: very old hat, will not work with all printers, bad instructions

...I bought this item because I wanted to link my printer to a laptop (using a wireless print server) and my desk top (by cable). What was NOT made clear by the supplier (in fact any supplier on the net offering this product as far as I can see) is that this switch is as good as obsolete. Belkin should ,in my view, withdraw this product from there line as they do make a modern version at much the same price. As is often the case with Belkin it will do the job but not fully and after a lot of fiddleing about. Firstly it comes in the usual clear heat sealed package which must be attacked with a knife to gain entry, once your in and open the 'installation booklet' it says in large bold letters 'this item will not work with multi-funtion printers' Would be nice to know that BEFORE you open the packet in this modern day when a large number... Security for a busy office
Review of Belkin Notebook Security Lock by Mpedia

Advantages: Universal fitting, nice bag for carrying and not to heavy, very strong
Disadvantages: None other than the fact that we have to use one!

...I am the IT Support in our open plan office of 80 plus employees, we have several different makes and models of laptop and I was given the task of sourcing a cheap way to secure them all. I looked at the other mainstream alternative but at around £30 was a bit steep to buy, especially as I needed more than 20 of them. Then I saw the Belkin, it is very strong, easy to secure and fits all models that come with the Kensington hole. It gives you a lot of flexibility once secured, which I find handy as I often have to turn the laptops over for various work requirements, the padlock is very reassuring and the length of cable makes fitting round a desk leg very easy. All this for just over £5, fantastic. So to sum up the Belkin Notebook Security Cable is long, flexible, very strong, easy to fit, highly compatible and very reassuring, and all... Read review

ok WIRELESS router
Review of Belkin Wireless G Router F5D7230-4 - wireless router by djbrookes

Advantages: Good range, good price, easy setup
Disadvantages: Prone to faults, belkin update service.

...I bought this in July 2006 for a cheap £39.99 and must say that the setup was incredibly simple and was completed in less than 20 minutes. The good: The range on this router is not fantastic but for this price it is more than is required as it will happily beam from my office to my front room (2 Floors + many walls). The signal quality obviously is not great at such a distance but is more than adequatte to surf the net at a good speed. The Bad: Ok so for the first month or so it worked fine but then it would simply stop sending out a signal at random points. This fault was as such that if i was using my wireless enabled laptop to surf the net or simply connect to the network (the reason i bought this router) then the router would flash all the leds orange and stopped allowing any access either from wireless laptop or wired pc... Quality card at a budget price
Review of Belkin Wireless G Notebook Card F5D7010 by scarymonkey

Advantages: Reasonable price
Disadvantages: No Linux drivers

...I finally took the plunge and bought a wireless router (Netgear DG834G) but then needed either a usb dongle NIC or PC Card (PCMCIA) NIC. At first I borrowed a USB dongle from a friend. This worked fine but the connection to the back of my laptop appeared weak. That made my decision for me....it had to be the stronger PC Card variant. I chose the Belkin F5D7010 as it was cheaper than the other branded rivals, and I could pick it up from my local Argos that day (We have no decent computer shops round here). Installation was a little different to the supplied instructions and I found it important to follow the installation program. Also when using XP you need to select the option to use the built in XP configuration software if you intend to use WPA security as only WEP is supported by the Belkin software. Once installed configuration... Read review
