Reviews of belkin network connector
If you want extra speed, then go for this
Review of Belkin patch cable - 6.1 m by
talonsco
Advantages: Good cable,
Disadvantages: Quite pricey
...Network cables are maybe not the first thing you think of when considering a network but they should be.
You can have a super fast router but if your cable isnt up to it, then why bother. Belkin are the standard setters in the network cable world. If you want top quality then you buy belkin. So if your considering sharing an internet connection to play games etc then you really need decent cable.
However, if like me you only share your connection for browsing and downloading, then you don't really need this kind of high quality cable. I personally have cable running that I bought for £2.14 for a 15m cable (that includes the connectors on the end). For internet browsing etc this is fine.
In conclusion, if you need speed and low ping times then belkin is the way to go. You can even use the snagless cable to allow easier running...

Belkin Wireless G Notebook Card
Review of Belkin Wireless G Plus Notebook Card Network adapter by
D4DDYF
Advantages: Wireless Internet
Disadvantages: None
...The Belkin Wireless Notebook Card is a good product. the card is only for LAPTOPS not for computers. the good thing about this product is that just say your in your bedroom or in your kitcen or maybe in your garden you can use the internet without any wires and no hassle at all. but you have to remember you need to have a belkin wireless internet network to make this product work for your laptop. I have my very own Belkin Wireless G Notebook card and it runs as fast as when i use to have an ethernet connection i.e. cable internet connection. When i bought my newtwork card it cost me £25.00 but on ciao they are giving you a really good price for it so i recommend buying the product. if you have any questions please let me know and i will be at assistance
Hope I Was Useful

Crash bang wallop!
Review of Belkin 54g Wireless PCMCIA card by
craigmc73
Advantages: Easy to install
Disadvantages: Crashes my machine!
...I bought the Belkin range of products so I could setup a wi-fi network at home.
I have the Belkin 54g Router and also have a Belkin 11g card in my desktop at home, so with this set-up successfully I bought the 54g notebook card for my laptop.
All were fairly easy to setup but I imagine it could be tricky if you have no networking knowledge.
So all installed and ready to go.
My laptop has never been the same since. I manage to work for between 10 - 60 mins then it's crash time, computer screen just freezes!
This happens around 5 - 10 times a day something that never happened prior to the installation of this card.
So technical support i thought, wrong!
After waiting for around 45 mins on the dedicated support line I ended up putting the phone down.
Email them. So i emailed them with my problem. Around 4 days later I get...

Over priced
Review of Belkin 5-Port Network Switch (10/100Mbps) by
raphiel99
Advantages: Plug and Play
Disadvantages: Not worth the money
...When setting up a network in my house I wanted to share everything over a LAN and also split the broadband between the network. The initial problem I had was that the broadband connection to the hub has to be an Ethernet cable. This is not too much of a problem if you are using ntl broadband. If you are using bt broadband the modem comes with only a USB connection which you cannot change. Therefore the broadband could not be easily shared using the hub like I thought. The hub itself although quite stylish was large and oddly shaped and hard to accommodate in an already cluttered environment. It was however shape do that it could be attached to other belkin products in a quite nice and interesting way. Unfortunately if you don’t own any other belkin networking appliances the shape is pointless.
When the cabling was sorted out...

BELKIN MAKES HOME NETWORKING A DODDLE
Review of Belkin Network Starter Kit by
cobnutty
Advantages: Very easy to install
Disadvantages: More back of PC wires to hide
...Thanks to Belkin, I am now the proud system administrator of a large number of PC's.... 2 to be precise!! I made my original purchase of the Belkin home network starter kit from PC World with disastrous results (please see my separate opinion for PC World)
The kit comprises of 2 10/100 Ethernet cards, 25ft of cable and all the software needed to make installation easy and painless. This includes Belkin 'Netshare' and Belkin 'Netsetup'. During installation I found it necessary to contact the company's product support help line due to the fact that I am sometimes a Pratt and occasionally find it difficult to read the simplest of instructions!! The technical support line was, for a change, a national telephone number and the call lasted only about 2 minutes. The person at the other end of the line was very human and promptly forwarded...

This is Belkin useless!
Review of Belkin Wireless G USB Network Adapter Network adapter by
Ant309
Advantages: Small, Cheap.
Disadvantages: Fragile, unreliable, bad instructions, crap software, useless extension lead.
...at one time.
*+*+*(UN)RELIABLITY*+*+*
As I've mentioned the signal is very unconsistent. But I've also noticed how weak and fragile this thing really is. I have plugged the device directly on the front of my computer, instead of using the supplied extension (which is useless because it keeps falling over), and the slightest knock with my knee can bend the USB connector from its plastic casing. Also causing a loss of signal.
*+*+*PRICE*+*+*
I payed about £25 for mine. And I'd say that would be cheap if it worked properly. So I would say it's £25 too much.
*+*+*CONCLUSION*+*+*
It may seem cheap but take it home and it will mock you and your now £25 thinner wallet. Save up a bit more and get a better device. This one is just too unreliable.
A big Thumbs down to Belkin....

Belkin ... Get Wire Free
Review of Belkin Wireless G Router F5D7230-4 - wireless router by
Sammyantha2k
Advantages: Fast and Cheap
Disadvantages: None
...** Belkin Wireless G Router **
When i first moved from PC to Laptop i was still using a bunch of wires to connect to the internet, after a few months I'd had enough and set off to buy a wireless router.
As every teenager knows, we'd be lost without our internet right? So i was willing to pay out for a good router, however when i found this one in argos i found i didn't need to pay that much out after all, it cost me around £50
Available from Argos at £49.99
Similar model in comet for £54.99
other stores that stock Belkin products ;
dixons
staples
john lewis
pc world
althought im not sure if they sell exactly the same make
The Belkin Wireless G Router lets you share files and a broadband internet connection among several PCs / Notebooks without using networking cables.
It can be used for accessing files such as hard drives...

A good, solid investment with a couple of niggles
Review of Belkin ADSL Modem with Wireless-G Router and Wireless G USB Network Adapter - wireless router by
sosull
Advantages: Reliable, easy to setup and use, small footprint.
Disadvantages: Gets very got through constant use, wireless adapter software can be annoying at times
...and use... should you need them. Advanced users can get a lot out of this router but people who are new to networking won't be bogged down with confusing menus.
The Belkin router is not the best out there but it's by no means the worst. Its easy to use, it's reliable but does get awfully hot - at least mine did. I left it on all the time but I do that with my current Netgear router and it's no where as warm as this was.
If you purchase this router you won't be left disappointed but please be aware of the belkin software for the wireless adapter. Some people may disagree with me but I found it fiddly. It did find my network alright though....

Belkin - High-Speed Mode Wirless G Router
Review of Belkin Wireless Cable/DSL Gateway Router wireless router by
derek-j-a
Advantages: High speed sharing of internet connection. Free on-line and phone help
Disadvantages: A bit tricky to set up for me at first..
...Before I write about the Belkin Router, I think it may be appropriate to describe my experiences that led up to the decision of setting up a network so that both our computers could share our newly installed NTL broadband connection.
There was something about networking that I had a "monster" mental-block about and when asking advice, all I could get was "it's easy!" Well all I can say about that is everything is easy to those who know how.
I'm not a technophobe, but when something is working OK, I am of the opinion not to try and fix it. But I was getting fed up of my slow dial-up internet connection and it was really about time that I contacted my ISP (NTL) and ordered broadband, especially after reading several reviews - it was just a coincidence that I had not long received an upgraded computer and broadband was not something...
