If you want extra speed, then go for this
Review of Belkin patch cable - 6.1 m by
talonsco
Advantages: Good cable,
Disadvantages: Quite pricey
...Network cables are maybe not the first thing you think of when considering a network but they should be.
You can have a super fast router but if your cable isnt up to it, then why bother. Belkin are the standard setters in the network cable world. If you want top quality then you buy belkin. So if your considering sharing an internet connection to play games etc then you really need decent cable.
However, if like me you only share your connection for browsing and downloading, then you don't really need this kind of high quality cable. I personally have cable running that I bought for £2.14 for a 15m cable (that includes the connectors on the end). For internet browsing etc this is fine.
In conclusion, if you need speed and low ping times then belkin is the way to go. You can even use the snagless cable to allow easier running...

Erm, it's a cable!
Review of Belkin patch cable - 15 m by
Weltmeister
Advantages: Good build quality, brand name
Disadvantages: A bit pricey.
...Okay, so before everyone gets too excited at the prospect of reading a review about a network cable, I'll bring you all back down to Earth and try to convince you why this one is so great...
If you've bought computer peripherals before, you will probably be familiar with Belkin, who are particularly well-known for their USB products. Belkin make all sorts of cables, including a variety of ethernet network cables.
This is a Cat 5 standard network cable (coloured red, but you can get it in many other colours, including black, grey, yellow, green, blue etc).
One of the major problems with network cables is their tendency to snag when bent through a small radius, and because of the way the individual wires are twisted around eachother inside the cable, this can lead to network errors. The Belkin cable claims to be snagless, and whilst I...

Review of Belkin N1 Wireless Modem Router - wireless router by
pgn0
Advantages: compact, good front-panel display, wall-mountable
Disadvantages: temperamental web interface, lots of virtual knobs, bells and whistles
...casing that has wall-mount holes, and claims to push super-fast wireless networking to a radius of 425m from the unit. And it comes with a Manufacturers Lifetime Warranty (sic).
Here's how I managed to get it going to accommodate my need to work from a room at the very opposite end of the house from where the ADSL connection was installed...
What you get for your money
-----------------------------------------
The silver-topped Belkin box looks attractive, with HIGH performance being the most obvious feature on the front. One side-panel gives you three easy steps to get you started - 1. Connect; 2. Configure; 3. Set Up. The other side-panel shows the technical specs, and the back panel explains clearly what's in the box, what it does and the way the unit communicates to you in blue (or amber if something's amiss!) icons what's happening...

Avoid Drop Out, Or At Least Off
Review of Belkin Sport Armband For iPod touch Arm pack MP3 player by
sghawken
Advantages: Good case
Disadvantages: Terrible product, and poor after sales care
...; then implying that Royal Mail pulled a fast one and kept the item; taking no responsibility for the item. Granted I'm only £10 out of pocket, but I'm a great lover of principles.
The Belkin Sport Armband comes in black, grey, or white; it's made of Neoprene. There is a plastic screen cover, and a little place to put keys or cash. While the case is a good solid item, the armband itself is connected with the smallest patch of Velcro Belkin could find. As a case protector the item is fine, but when it comes to the part that actually goes round your arm, I cannot help that a belt style strap might be better even though I can imagine this having a similar issue. The Armband is available pretty much anywhere that sells the iPod Touch, and is about £8-£14 though I'd look at other ranges than this.
For the record, I have given up running.
Spencer Hawken...

fast LAN
Review of Belkin patch cable - 2 m by
grimworld
Advantages: fast, allows shared broadband, different lengths, cheap
Disadvantages: none
...its bright red!
Since its a Belkin it also has their life time warranty so if it should ever have a malfunction they will replace it for free, this is always good to know.
The price of this item isnt that much i paid £15 for mine from p.c world though some cost more and some cost less all depends on the bandwith of the cable and the length.
You can buy this product from places such as p.c world and dixions,
or try
www.freewebs.com/myshoppingmall here there is a link to dixions and p.c world so happy shopping...

Network problem solver.
Review of Belkin Network adapter antenna by
willie96
Advantages: Saves moving furniture around.
Disadvantages: None
...A wireless network has recently been installed where I live and I was unable to connect to it using my Belkin F5D7000, without moving my PC into the middle of the room. I read up on how to improve network connection and the Belkin F5D6900 seemed like a reasonable option.
The Belkin F5D6900 is a small omni-directional antenna that comes fitted to a base, so it sits on your desk, and a 1 metre length of cable. Installing it is simplicity itself, as you only have to unscrew the antenna fitted to your network card and screw on the free end of the cable. It is then just a case of trial and error to find the best place to put the antenna. I was amazed to see how much difference the signal strength is affected by the positioning, considering the cable is only 1 metre long.
At the moment I have only got 42% signal strength but the nearest...

Really not for a big house!
Review of Belkin ADSL2+ Modem with High-Speed Mode Wireless-G Router - wireless router by
kooldavy
Advantages: Easy setup of settings
Disadvantages: Range is very poor
...Last September I bought one of these wireless routers. After 1 day I sent it back.
Have you ever walked into a Computer Store like PC World and went to the Wireless Section? Well next time you do go to the Belkin section and see how many products have been sold. I was in PC World and on most boxes I found the label "Opened, Returned" or something like that. Basically Belkin mades really bad wireless products and I'll explain my experience now.
I bought the router unpackaged it, got all the settings setup, updated the firmware etc, fine everything worked I could access the internet etc but this was using a cable into the back of the router. So decided to go to wireless and test the range.
-In the same room I got full strength.
- In the hall Very Good Strength
- Another room about 10 feet away from router (between 2 walls) started...

4 port router - low priced but reliable
Review of Linksys Instant Broadband EtherFast Cable/DSL Firewall Router with 4-Port Switch/VPN Endpoint - router by
exup35
Advantages: Reliable, good support
Disadvantages: bigger than other similar routers from competitors
...This unit replaced an awful Belkin router which was a simlar specification and price. This router was so much better, i.e. it worked,
The installation was straightforward enough, and the router was up and running with 2 pc's connected without a problem.
Compared to the Belkin unit it is a no frills product, the colour is OK, but whereas the Belkin looked sleek, thie linksys s more function over form. I wasn;t really bothered though, it was going to be sat next to the modem out of sight.
The ethernet sockets are round the back of the unit, and the system LED's are on the front. Also the unit is stable enough not to be lifted when multiple wires are plugged into it. This can be a problem with very small units which are so light the cables own tension can lift them off the floor/desk where you placed them.
Probably the most you can throw...

ON, OFF, ON, OFF,ON OFF!!!AND FINALLY ON!!!!!!
Review of Belkin High-Speed Mode Wireless G Router wireless router by
oliridg
Advantages: Wide signal area, small neat and tidy and easy to set up(wire wise).
Disadvantages: inconsistant connection, poor install guide, terrible customer service and often needs resetting
..., as it is when installing the software.
The install guide runs reasonably simply if you know what type of IP address your ISP has. You are asked if you have a static dynamic or a couple of other types of IP there is a sheet that states certain internet companies though these seem to be mainly American companies so I had to contact my ISP to find this out as I'm not knowledgeable on this subject. Other than that the install is quite simple asking you to connect certain wires at certain times before turning the wireless router on!
Once installed and now that I have a working router I am actually quite happy with it, the signal strength is great I get signal all over my house and garden and never suffer a low period of signal as some of my friends do with other routers. Hopefully this router will last and my confidence restored with Belkin...

Security for a busy office
Review of Belkin Notebook Security Lock by
Mpedia
Advantages: Universal fitting, nice bag for carrying and not to heavy, very strong
Disadvantages: None other than the fact that we have to use one!
...I am the IT Support in our open plan office of 80 plus employees, we have several different makes and models of laptop and I was given the task of sourcing a cheap way to secure them all.
I looked at the other mainstream alternative but at around £30 was a bit steep to buy, especially as I needed more than 20 of them.
Then I saw the Belkin, it is very strong, easy to secure and fits all models that come with the Kensington hole. It gives you a lot of flexibility once secured, which I find handy as I often have to turn the laptops over for various work requirements, the padlock is very reassuring and the length of cable makes fitting round a desk leg very easy.
All this for just over £5, fantastic.
So to sum up the Belkin Notebook Security Cable is long, flexible, very strong, easy to fit, highly compatible and very reassuring, and all...
