Look, Honey - No strings attached!
Review of Belkin N1 Wireless USB Adapter by
pgn0
Advantages: works first time, gets you out of a tight spot!
Disadvantages: bigger than it looks on the box
...USB adapter, or F5D8051uk, PCN 7-22868-60657-5. Peeling the shrink-wrap off the box revealed the typical Belkin silver "open here" arrow on the carton inside the sleeve, and a very easily-read 1-sheet "how to get you going" instruction leaflet.
"First Insert the CD into the PC", and follow the prompts... A couple of Next's and the setup program told me to plug the USB cable on the cradle into the PC, then to plug the rather large USB dongle into the cradle. The PC complained that I could get better performance if I plugged all into a USB 2.0 slot (not that I have one yet, that's for another day!), advice which was resolutely shunned at this stage.
Pretty much straight-off, the Belkin client software popped-up and let me key in the SSID I use (don't want to make it too easy for the neighbours!), and it detected and latched onto the wall...

Review of Belkin USB Hub hub - 4 ports by
Newfloridian
Advantages: Plug and play as it should be, cool design
Disadvantages: None
...At last a computer product that does what it says it does and works the way it is supposed to!
I was sceptical to say the least about USB (universal serial bus) ports when they first started to appear on computer systems. Windows promised the era of ‘plug and play’ – the computer recognises the peripheral without major hardware configuration or software programming on the part of the end user. Now at last – it has happened. I recently bought a new computer, I bought a USB hub, I have plugged things into this magic little box – and there I am, up and running.
The Belkin Hub plugs into a USB socket on your computer. It is hot wired (you can plug it in and take it out while the computer is switched on, the main box recognises the hub. It can derive its power from the computer or through its own mains adapter. This hub has four sockets...

Belkin IDE Lead the way :-)
Review of Belkin Internal IDE Dual Hard Drive Ribbon Cable by
daveylee20
Advantages: Makes your pc cooler
Disadvantages: Not much
..., I found the wires that are in the plastic head connectors was secure & I noticed extra protected was put in place also, a cap over the back of the connecter where the wires are placed into was made smaller, making the wires less likely to be pulled out. Also, they included a plastic sleeve, which is used to un plug the leads & not by just pulling on the lead itself.
Now, I bet your thinking, why this lead is worth paying for when you can get normal ones for next to nothing. Well my dear readers, one word for you.. Airflow. This lead makes airflow much better in your pc case as the wires are more compact. I’ve had many people come to me with over heating issues. Mainly because the normal flat IDE lead was resting directly on top of the CPU fan.. so, hardly no cool air was been sucked in to cool the CPU.
Remember folks, the cooler your pc...

Crash bang wallop!
Review of Belkin 54g Wireless PCMCIA card by
craigmc73
Advantages: Easy to install
Disadvantages: Crashes my machine!
...I bought the Belkin range of products so I could setup a wi-fi network at home.
I have the Belkin 54g Router and also have a Belkin 11g card in my desktop at home, so with this set-up successfully I bought the 54g notebook card for my laptop.
All were fairly easy to setup but I imagine it could be tricky if you have no networking knowledge.
So all installed and ready to go.
My laptop has never been the same since. I manage to work for between 10 - 60 mins then it's crash time, computer screen just freezes!
This happens around 5 - 10 times a day something that never happened prior to the installation of this card.
So technical support i thought, wrong!
After waiting for around 45 mins on the dedicated support line I ended up putting the phone down.
Email them. So i emailed them with my problem. Around 4 days later I get...

Belkin Wireless G Notebook Card
Review of Belkin Wireless G Plus Notebook Card Network adapter by
D4DDYF
Advantages: Wireless Internet
Disadvantages: None
...The Belkin Wireless Notebook Card is a good product. the card is only for LAPTOPS not for computers. the good thing about this product is that just say your in your bedroom or in your kitcen or maybe in your garden you can use the internet without any wires and no hassle at all. but you have to remember you need to have a belkin wireless internet network to make this product work for your laptop. I have my very own Belkin Wireless G Notebook card and it runs as fast as when i use to have an ethernet connection i.e. cable internet connection. When i bought my newtwork card it cost me £25.00 but on ciao they are giving you a really good price for it so i recommend buying the product. if you have any questions please let me know and i will be at assistance
Hope I Was Useful

What a Beltin' Belkin Router!!
Review of Belkin ADSL2+ Modem with High-Speed Mode Wireless-G Router - wireless router by
mattyprice4004
Advantages: Great wireless range, Futureproof, Nice looking, Fast!
Disadvantages: Some may say it looks a little chunky
...The Belkin first struck me as a bit odd, really. Alongside it in the local PC shop were simpleton designs from companies such as 3COM and DLink for £80-£90, then there was the lovely-looking and future-proof Belkin for £69. Confused? So was I.
Anyway, as you would expect, I took the Belkin to it's new home on a dusty shelf in my room. It was a simple case of Plug and Play really (Not Plug and Pray as with so many other routers). Within 5 minutes of opening the box I was happily browsing the Web, with the router sat happily flashing it's little lights at me from accross the room.
And thats it really - To this day the router lives - and I have had it for 9 months and counting. Not ONE other router has made it past the 3 month mark (I don't know why either).
I have a home-based Web server, and the Belkin makes light work of forwarding...

Belkin Wireless Keyboard
Review of Belkin Wireless PDA Keyboard keyboard by
RICOUK
Advantages: Compact, simple connection
Disadvantages: takes time to set up in the first place
.... However, I contacted Belkin and within four days they replied saying that I could send it to them and they will replace it. The service of Belkin is excellent and I hope they keep to their word.
A good overall keyboard, as long as you look after the hinge it will last more than four months....

BELKIN MAKES HOME NETWORKING A DODDLE
Review of Belkin Network Starter Kit by
cobnutty
Advantages: Very easy to install
Disadvantages: More back of PC wires to hide
...Thanks to Belkin, I am now the proud system administrator of a large number of PC's.... 2 to be precise!! I made my original purchase of the Belkin home network starter kit from PC World with disastrous results (please see my separate opinion for PC World)
The kit comprises of 2 10/100 Ethernet cards, 25ft of cable and all the software needed to make installation easy and painless. This includes Belkin 'Netshare' and Belkin 'Netsetup'. During installation I found it necessary to contact the company's product support help line due to the fact that I am sometimes a Pratt and occasionally find it difficult to read the simplest of instructions!! The technical support line was, for a change, a national telephone number and the call lasted only about 2 minutes. The person at the other end of the line was very human and promptly forwarded...

Belkin 4 port - can't cut the virtual mustard
Review of Belkin Cable/DSL Gateway Router router by
exup35
Advantages: looks, size
Disadvantages: cant handle large amounts of internet traffic/ poor backup
...Now that I had two PC's and wanted to share the internet connection I was advised to get a router. Not wanting the hassle of a wireless setup which I didn't really need. I went for the Belkin 4 port wired router.
The unit looks quite attractive, and can stack with other belkin units as it has grooves and ridges to allow this.
At first things seemed OK, Installation was pretty quick, and I could browse the internet, chat to friends over IM programs and talk on VoIP.
However once I tried to connect to an online game, the problems started. After only a couple of minutes hte router would sudenly close the connection: not only the game connection, but everything. The only way I could restore any connection to the net was to restart, or even turn the router off and then on again.
I searched through the ADSL guide which has advice...

Good, solid router.
Review of Belkin ADSL2+ Modem with High-Speed Mode Wireless-G Router - wireless router by
Honest.John
Advantages: Good price, good range, trusted manufacturer, easy to use software.
Disadvantages: Sometimes needs to be re-booted.
...I changed from a Netgear wireless router (still working fine at my mums house) to this Belkin ADSL 2+ about 9 months ago. The main reason for the change was because my Netgear router just wasn't powerful enough to work on my laptop when I was in some of the rooms downstairs. This is not a problem with the Belkin and I tend to get good or excellent coverage in most rooms in my house.
The Belkin also came with a USB receiver which works well on my desktop PC.
The User Interface (UI) that comes with the Belkin is straightforward to use and it can be secured quite easily and quickly once connected. I personally prefer the Netgear UI, although not enough to worry about too much.
I occasionally find myself having to unplug then power up the router so that my laptop can find it OK. I do not know why this is, but I had similar issues...
