...When setting up a network in my house I wanted to share everything over a LAN and also split the broadband between the network. The initial problem I had was that the broadband connection to the hub has to be an Ethernet cable. This is not too much of a problem if you are using ntl broadband. If you are using bt broadband the modem comes with only a USB connection which you cannot change. Therefore the broadband could not be easily shared using the hub like I thought. The hub itself although quite stylish was large and oddly shaped and hard to accommodate in an already cluttered environment. It was however shape do that it could be attached to other belkin products in a quite nice and interesting way. This also included drilling a hole in the floorboards and laying the cable. No one warned me though that carpet gripper rods are very sharp and if one places ones wrist on them, they hurt!!! The Belkin Home Networking starter kit costs £39.99 and is widely available in both PC stores and online. It is compatible with any version of Microsoft Windows (I have Win ME downstairs and Win98 upstairs). The product I purchased was the PCI version but is also available for USB connection. My daughter can now share my Internet access, which therefore saves me additional costs for another connection, and I have the added bonus of being able to use some of her hard drive... Read review

...The Belkin ADSL Modem Wireless-G Wireless Router was the first wireless router I owned. It materialized in my home due to the sheer distance of my computer from the phone socket and running an RJ11 phone cable across the house was not a viable option. The router came with a thin but multilingual instruction leaflet which outlined the initial un-boxing and setup but it really could have been more concise. Nevertheless, initial setup was easy enough and I didn't experience any issues. I had one Ethernet connected computer but I did set up everything first with a wireless computer using the supplied Wireless G USB adapter. The adapter works very well, is good and stable but the supplied Belkin adapter software is fiddly to use and can be confusing.
