A good, solid investment with a couple of niggles
Review of Belkin ADSL Modem with Wireless-G Router and Wireless G USB Network Adapter - wireless router by sosull

Advantages: Reliable, easy to setup and use, small footprint.
Disadvantages: Gets very got through constant use, wireless adapter software can be annoying at times

...The Belkin ADSL Modem Wireless-G Wireless Router was the first wireless router I owned. It materialized in my home due to the sheer distance of my computer from the phone socket and running an RJ11 phone cable across the house was not a viable option. The router came with a thin but multilingual instruction leaflet which outlined the initial un-boxing and setup but it really could have been more concise. Nevertheless, initial setup was easy enough and I didn't experience any issues. I had one Ethernet connected computer but I did set up everything first with a wireless computer using the supplied Wireless G USB adapter. The adapter works very well, is good and stable but the supplied Belkin adapter software is fiddly to use and can be confusing. The router control panel is simple to navigate and offers a lot of options to configure... Read review

What a Beltin' Belkin Router!!
Review of Belkin ADSL2+ Modem with High-Speed Mode Wireless-G Router - wireless router by mattyprice4004

Advantages: Great wireless range, Futureproof, Nice looking, Fast!
Disadvantages: Some may say it looks a little chunky

...all the correct ports and making sure all aspects of the setup are working. The Wireless range of the Belkin surprised me - I was 3 houses down the road from mine with my laptop at a friend's house, and as soon as Windows booted up the laptop got a 'Good' strength signal from the router! This is quite worrying, mainly due to the fact my old DLink router would freak out if you went more than 15-20 feet away from it. Signals would drop out, packets would get lost and Web pages would half load. Setting up the ADSL connection is also very easy with the Belkin router. Simply plug the router in, turn it on, connect your PC to it and tap 192.168.2.1 in to Internet Explorer to bring up the first Setup page. And, err, that's all there is to it. The router's ability to connect to ADSL-2 when the service goes mainstream is also a big plus, as I... Read review

Unmitigated garbage
Review of Belkin ADSL2+ Modem with Wireless G+ MIMO Router - wireless router by gvincent3000

Advantages: Make a good Paper weight
Disadvantages: Drops Connection, Poor coverage

...After Unpacking This router, the supplied DSL Filter was DOA requiring me to spend $20 to purchase another one. The Setup Interface is very poor, Slow and Clumsy. Manual is hard to understand. Signal range is pathetic, i receive a stronger signal from my neighbors d-link router in the House next door than this router placed directly upstairs. Frequently drops internet connection. Requires constant reboots, sometimes three times a day. password has been set to prevent unauthorized access to the setup page but the router still allows any one access without a password prompt. Investigating other reviews of all of the different belkin products, this is not uncommon and serious questions need to be asked why a company is allowed to get away with making such trash.... Good, solid router.
Review of Belkin ADSL2+ Modem with High-Speed Mode Wireless-G Router - wireless router by Honest.John

Advantages: Good price, good range, trusted manufacturer, easy to use software.
Disadvantages: Sometimes needs to be re-booted.

...I changed from a Netgear wireless router (still working fine at my mums house) to this Belkin ADSL 2+ about 9 months ago. The main reason for the change was because my Netgear router just wasn't powerful enough to work on my laptop when I was in some of the rooms downstairs. This is not a problem with the Belkin and I tend to get good or excellent coverage in most rooms in my house. The Belkin also came with a USB receiver which works well on my desktop PC. The User Interface (UI) that comes with the Belkin is straightforward to use and it can be secured quite easily and quickly once connected. I personally prefer the Netgear UI, although not enough to worry about too much. I occasionally find myself having to unplug then power up the router so that my laptop can find it OK. I do not know why this is, but I had similar issues... Read review

Cheap and cheerful!
Review of Buffalo AirStation WYR-G54 - wireless router by mattgray_uk

Advantages: Price, Fairly Small, Easy Setup
Disadvantages: Not very stylish

...I bought this router as a replacement for a Belkin router which had expired. I was looking for a fairly cheap reliable router for connecting my laptop to my home ntl cable connection. So far I have not been dissapointed. You really can't complain for the price. It does the same job as more expensive models, is a breeze to set up and has both WEP and WPA security. I have also found the connection to be more reliable than my old Belkin router. (Particularly noticable when playing online poker where my old router would keep disconnecting). One thing to note is that this unit is only a router and does not include any kind of modem. You will need a seperate modem with an ethernet connection. (e.g. NTL 100 cable modem). If you have an ADSL connection then you would probably be better going for a router with a built in ADSL modem... Read review

Really not for a big house!
Review of Belkin ADSL2+ Modem with High-Speed Mode Wireless-G Router - wireless router by kooldavy

Advantages: Easy setup of settings
Disadvantages: Range is very poor

...going down to Good just middle strength. - Went further about 20 feet with about 4 walls between it.... basically no connection at all. I had previously bought a router for someone else and tested it in the same house. It was a netgear router and at the same distance with 4 walls between it I could still get Very Good strength. I tried however to change settings like the channel number, place the router in a different position, didn't help at all. When I used a Belkin adapter along with it with only 2 walls it was no connection, so what does this tell you about Belkin wireless products? From my experience and opinion this router isn't worth the money, you be safer buying another make like Netgear or Cisco for ADSL. Price I paided for this was around £40, if you really want one you can get them cheap on ebay cause people are looking rid... Read review

Belkin Wireless LAN I Love You
Review of Belkin ADSL Modem with Wireless-G Router wireless router by mirrah

Advantages: Can connect computers together in home or office without wires all over the pace
Disadvantages: Might interfere with some cordless phones

...We recently decide to buy a Belkin ASDL Modem with Wireless G Router because we have two computers at home. My other half found it easy to install and get working on our main computer which is upstairs. Downstairs is our family computer and we though it would help the family,(kids not allowed in mum and dads bedroom), to access the internet for school work, research and e mail access. Everything worked fine, even the remote dongle worked really well and gets a really good signal. The best thing about this wireless LAN is that you can use the main computer to allow certain settings on the remote computer and turn internet access on or off, transfer files from main computer to remote computer and view what the remote user is accessing so you can net nanny any of your kids while they surf without actually looking over their shoulder all... Wonderfully Wicked Wi-Fi Wizardry
Review of Belkin 54g Wireless PCMCIA card by rhys_morgan1

Advantages: Good price - easy installation - online tutorials for the uninitiated!
Disadvantages: May be slightly daunting to people less proficient in IT.

...OK - lets get down to brass tacks. I have a 1mb adsl connection (broadband) feeding my desktop and a company laptop. When I wanted to connect to my company's corporate network, I had to unplug my desktop's adsl connection and plug in my laptop, obviously rendering my desktop with no connectivity. After a few weeks of this I got very bored as I live with a friend, and when I was working from home, he wasn't able to use the internet until I had finished working. So, using my technical expertise (I work in IT) and some funding from the Boss (taxable telecommunication benefit apparently?!?) I invested in a Belkin Wireless Modem and Integrated Router (acting as an access point) and a PCMCIA Type II Wireless Laptop card. The theory behind this is that the dekstop will have a wired connection - but it will also offer a wireless network... Read review

Look, Honey - No strings attached!
Review of Belkin N1 Wireless USB Adapter by pgn0

Advantages: works first time, gets you out of a tight spot!
Disadvantages: bigger than it looks on the box

...bit of kit hanging on the wall in the soon-to-be-studio... achieved admirably with the procurement of a new wireless modem router (of which more in my review elsewhere on Ciao). Step two was to sponge a PCI-based wireless card for the PC off eBay as cost-effectively as possible, based on the experience gained hooking the kids' PC up to the USR using a Linksys WMP54GS (also recounted on Ciao elsewhere). Sadly, whilst the WMP54GS upstairs, two walls and a floor away from the ADSL entry-point in the studio, worked brilliantly with its shiny new wall-mounted adoptive wireless modem router downstairs, my second-hand WMP54G off eBay refused to hold on to the signal well enough when the Dell was on the desk, and failed completely when it was positioned in its intended final location under the desk in the new "study". Cue the Belkin N1 Wireless... Read review

Review of Belkin ADSL Modem with Wireless-G Router and Wireless G USB Network Adapter - wireless router by alcopops

Advantages: Easy to set up and maintain
Disadvantages: so far it has none

...I've never had a network before but deided it was silly only having 1 computer on the internet at a time and having to take turns. I went out and bought myself a Belkin ADSL Modem with Wireless-G Router with a Wireless G USB Network Adapter and another adapter. within 15 minutes of taking eveything out it's box by following the instruction and entering some numbers my ISP gave me I had succesfully connected ito the internet . setting up the network was just as easy couldnt beleive how easy it was. had to open up some ports to be able to play pc games online but that was only a matter of ticking some check boxes on a browser window. i've had this for about 11 weeks now and it's not given me a problem and it's always connected.. each computer always connects first time when it's booted and only takes seconds to do so. I also like... Read review
