Belkin ADSL2+ High-Speed Mode Wireless-G Router
Review of Belkin ADSL2+ Modem with High-Speed Mode Wireless-G Router - wireless router by
sbarwell
Advantages: Very stable, good speed
Disadvantages: Not a pretty boy, yet to get remote admin working
...Anywhere, SMTP, VPN and Webserver forwarding from the routers pre-configured drop-down list. You can also specify your own mappings if required, although I have not tested this.
Wireless Security
This router supports 64 and 128 WEP, WPA-PSK and WPA (Radius Server) encryption. Only the former 3 levels will be of interest to most people. I shall comment on these as I have no experience of how the router performs with a Radius Server.
64 and 128 WEP and WPA-PSK all work without issue on the 3 Belkin wireless cards, 1 Pro Link and 2 un-branded cards I currently have in use with this router.
I have not noticed any drastic fluctuations in performance in using either 64 and 128 WEP and WPA-PSK.
Personally I always use the highest level of encryption available and drop back if there are compatibility/performance issues in a mixed...

Perfect wireless home networking
Review of Belkin ADSL Modem with Wireless-G Router and Wireless G USB Network Adapter - wireless router by
theenglishviet
Advantages: Easy to set up, good range,
Disadvantages: Bit bulky
...I always do my research before making an electronic purchase, have a look on the internet to see what products are availble, compare them against each other and then have a look at the price. If its not in my price range, i discard it!
In the end, I went with teh Belkin, mainly because I know that Belkin do quality networking products. I already had a modem router at home, but i have three laptops that i needed to connect, and i don't like being bounded by wires (simply because that means everyone ends up in my room!) so i decided to invest in this. Already an advantage, this product came with a free USB wireless adapter!
Firstly, the difference between wireless G and wireless B (802.11g or 802.11b) is that G is faster than B, by about 5 times (although this is the maximum). I don't know of any other differences, i thought...

Belkins Little Wonder
Review of Belkin ADSL Modem with Wireless-G Router wireless router by
tallisliam
Advantages: Wireless, reliable, sturdy, stylish, simple
Disadvantages: None come to mind!
...After initially receiving the "bog standard" Speedtouch 330 USB when signing up for my first ADSL connection I decided that a ADSL gateway was going to be more use in my household! Having 4 computers connected, and a laptop with wireless capability a router/modem/gateway type combination was much needed as up to this point my PC had always had to be always on and the laptop having a cable lying in the living room!
The Belkin router seemed like a good choice for our household. We wanted a name that we believed we could trust and also something that offered all the features we wanted and this little box of magic seemed to have it all! The model I bought come with a free wireless dongle too so I would be able to connect one of the other PC's wirelessly too if needed. Also there is a power supply that will need to be connected...

Wonderful Wireless
Review of Belkin ADSL2+ Modem with High-Speed Mode Wireless-G Router - wireless router by
CarlG
Advantages: Easy to Setup up, strong wireless signal
Disadvantages: No Power Switch
...We have been thinking about having broadband for quite a while and have at long last got round to it, it wasn't that we used the net a lot but that was partly because our dial up connection was so awfully slow, so it was a kind of catch 22 situation.
I decided that it would be nice to have wireless to save us having to restrict our surfing to the study (box bedroom) and a router would be preferable as this would make connecting my Apple Mac laptop easier, so off I went to PC world. After quite a while looking up and down the numerous wireless modem routers (you can get a modem and a router separately if so desired but this works out more expensive) opted for the Belkin 125g model (the g indicating the latest and quickest certified wireless standard - although the better n standard is due to be certified in the near future). I paid £79...

Wireless internet all around the house
Review of Belkin ADSL2+ Modem with Wireless G+ MIMO Router - wireless router by
laramax
Advantages: High speed and powerful, easy to set up
Disadvantages: My PC didn't want to co-operate
...decided I would stick with a tried and tested make who, in my experience, provide good products which are generally fairly easy to install so I looked at what Belkin had to offer.
They do lots of different wireless options. I knew from my previous sortie that as I had and ADSL broadband connection (through my telephone line) that I needed a combined modem and router which helped to narrow down the field. I also know that there are various ratings for modems and that I wanted an 11g - that bit was easy because most of them seemed to be 11g.
I opted for the Belkin ADSL2+ Modem With Wireless G+ MIMO Router - chiefly because according to the box it gives a good range - up to 200m and because it allows multiple connections (MIMO stands for multiple in multiple out). It isn't that I anticipate wanting to use it 200 metres from home but I...

Best router for home and small business users
Review of Belkin ADSL Modem with Wireless-G Router and Wireless G USB Network Adapter - wireless router by
velvet202
Advantages: easy installation, gets an internet connection in no time, holds what it promises, excellent value for money
Disadvantages: a bit bulky
...to the internet within 5 minutes.
Next came setting up a wireless LAN on my laptop. This took me much longer due to the fact that my integrated wireless card had been disabled and I did not know that. Had I known that, I would have been online in less than 5 minutes, but since I'm completely new to this and this was the first time I had ever held anything like a modem router in my hands, it actually took me over 45 minutes to realize what was wrong.
All in all, Belkin's ADSL wireless router with modem is a great device that is easy to set up and does not require any knowledge. The connection is 11g (if this means anything to you), and is apparently much faster than the 11b connection. It also seems faster than the modem I had before.
The wireless LAN connection is very good and reaches through 2 walls (I was so excited that I tried to connect my...

Belkin Wireless LAN I Love You
Review of Belkin ADSL Modem with Wireless-G Router wireless router by
mirrah
Advantages: Can connect computers together in home or office without wires all over the pace
Disadvantages: Might interfere with some cordless phones
...We recently decide to buy a Belkin ASDL Modem with Wireless G Router because we have two computers at home.
My other half found it easy to install and get working on our main computer which is upstairs. Downstairs is our family computer and we though it would help the family,(kids not allowed in mum and dads bedroom), to access the internet for school work, research and e mail access.
Everything worked fine, even the remote dongle worked really well and gets a really good signal.
The best thing about this wireless LAN is that you can use the main computer to allow certain settings on the remote computer and turn internet access on or off, transfer files from main computer to remote computer and view what the remote user is accessing so you can net nanny any of your kids while they surf without actually looking over...

Review of Belkin ADSL Modem with Wireless-G Router wireless router by
Foneroni
Advantages: Compact, added benefits such as security etc
Disadvantages: Setup not so simple when User Manual not included!
...Recently I bought a new PC and wireless laptop and it soon became apparent I would need a router in order to utilise the functions of the wireless laptop.
I was already happily using broadband by way of a USB modem so I understood I would need to purchase a combined ADSL Modem with built in wireless router. After a visit to PC World, I ended up buying the Belkin ADSL Modem with Built-In Wireless Router (F5D7630uk4A). The price of this was £89.99. The reason I bought the Belkin product above the others was firstly because the sales assistant recommended it and also I have used Belkin products before at work and found them to do the job perfectly well.
At this point I should like to say that I consider myself reasonably well informed and educated on IT issues having worked in an IT Department for 3 years...
