Great Multimedia Wireless Router from Belkin

Advantages: Reliable, Fast, Easy to configure, Lots of features, USB for sharing drives
Disadvantages: Bit expensive, Not full speed with every machine

The Belkin was by far the cheapest router at the time (I paid £50 in 2005) compared to most other models which were on average £20 more expensive for what I could see, was the same functionality. Belkin Wireless G - Cheap and cheerful wireless adapter

Advantages: Cheap, connects to routers of all types I have tried
Disadvantages: Breaks easily, driver problems in Vista

...'belkin driver' in google, the first link that comes up is the official Belkin driver download site. It immediately takes you to a 3 step guide to installing the correct driver. First you have to read the FFC ID, which is in minuscule writing on the back of the device. Although, the website shows you exactly where to look, it is still hard to physically read the font. Once you have found out which version to pick, the driver is downloaded and finally installed. Connectivity I find that the Belkin adapters don't have brilliant connectivity, but are quite able to pick up adequate signaI in the house. I have connected with a Belkin Wireless G USB adapter to a Belkin router, as well as a US robotics router and BT home hub, it picks up many networks local to the computer. Disadvantages: If you are on Vista, takes a costly telephone call to get you connected.

...We bought this wireless router as my son wanted to use his Wii on the internet. His room is on the 3rd floor and the computer and router are on the ground floor. It was simple to set up and the instructions were good, however, because we are using Windows Vista, nothing is ever straight forward. With one longish phone call to India, via the number on the instructions to ring, everything was sorted out. The phone call took 35 minutes for which I am sure i was charged a fortune for and there is no way I could have worked it out for myself, it was far too complicated to get this router to work on Vista. Once it was working though everything has gone smoothly. I do find that the internet is somewhat slower however he has a great connection on the 3rd floor and we have no complaints. Although the initial set up was frustrating...

Belkin G+ Mimo wireless router

Advantages: Wireless with 4 wired ports. Good range and speed.
Disadvantages: Seems to be a bit unstable when playing games

...I recently bought this router along with a new wireless enabled laptop (Toshiba A210-17I). I opted for this model as it also includes 4 wired ports (I play my Xbox 360 online and prefer it to be 'hard wired'. The unit is nice and light and looks smart in its silvery grey colour. It has two antenna's and is G+ Mimo, which basically means it is slightly faster and has a better range than a normal G+ router. My internet connection is upstairs and I have no problem connecting anywhere within the house (its too cold to try outside :). Installation and set up of the router was simple and easy to follow instructions are provided to assist in doing this. ...The belkin 54g wireless router is very good when it comes to a strong signal, yet i still find it immensly annoying!!! When its running smoothly, it is no problem what so ever, but every now and then, maybe once every week or so, the signal will cut out for no reason and you will find yourself VERY frustrated when trying to retrieve it. apart from this minor annoyance, the belkin is generally a very good piece of kit for your money. I payed around £50 for mine, and havent regretted it too much yet. the quality is OK but not amazing, its built well as i found out when i trod on mine, not even a crack appeared, there was nothing damaged what so ever... wich impressed me because it looks plastic and cheap. the belkin is very easy to use and can easily be reset with the little push button on the back if it does decide to go a bit off...
