Low-price, fine functioning
Review of BenQ-Siemens E61 by
cs.hari
Advantages: Enough basic needed features
Disadvantages: Under quality built-in camera
...I bought this mobile phone on March 2007, at a local store. Its price was IDR 1,200,000. It's equal to £ 62.87.
In November 2007, at Ebay UK, the price is only £ 23.99 - 24.99. My mobile phone IMEI is: 358581003487862. Its factory guarantee will be expired on March 2008.
I have been using several Siemens mobile phones product for years with various series. In my opinion that based on my experience, Benq-Siemens E61 is one of the best Benq-Siemens products for low price mobile phone.

Super-low cost back-up
Review of BenQ CDR 80min 700MB 48x by
mmpr
Advantages: Excellent Value - Good all-round disc
Disadvantages: Clumsy packaging
...a practical point of view it's best to keep them in the box and store them in a drawer or beside your printer if you've room.
Having worked my way roughly half way down the Infiniti spindle and a quarter of the way through the Benq box, I think I'll shortly be transferring Benq from box to spindle as, disc for disc I'm happy to use either.
The Benq discs work in my car cd changer without any trouble even using MP3 recording. (But you will need a disc auto changer and head unit that read MP3!). They also have been fine for transferring Word and Excel files, photos and programme .exe files between home and work.
I haven't come across a CD or DVD drive that won't read everything I've recorded on them.
The worst thing about the Benq CD-R discs is the purple/silver colouring which is not as good to write on as the Infiniti "NEW Whitetop" discs...

BenQ - The new Sony
Review of BenQ Joybook 5000 - Pentium M 1.4 GHz - 14.1" TFT by
nanoblade
Advantages: Looks good, Fast, Cheap, Great graphics
Disadvantages: Flimsy feel, not enough RAM
...BenQ? Had you heard of them a few months ago? Well I hadn’t. BenQ are new to Europe although they are well established in the Middle East. If you hadn’t heard of them before Euro 2004 you must do now! When I saw this laptop for an insanely low price a few months ago I was a little skeptical, but after days of research I couldn’t find anything to compete with it, and became more confident about BenQs reputation. So I went ahead and bought it, and I can honestly say this was the best thing I have ever spent £850 on!
The laptop comes with the Centrino 1.4Ghz which is approximately equivalent to the P4 2.2Ghz, with the benefits of greatly increased battery life. BenQs quoted life of 6h is not far off from the actual 5 hours that you get from the battery. It also comes with all the standard bits: DVD/CD-RW drive, 256Mb RAM...

BenQ FP531
Review of BenQ FP531 by
droniee
Advantages: nice and bright screen, clear, compact, slim
Disadvantages: have not discovered any yet
...I've just recently bought this monitor for 100 pounds in Malaysia. It is really amazing and i'm all excited about it. It is compact and flat screen. Its slim design adds a sleek look to any computing system in any room. it has 6 buttons at the bottom of the screen, each for : internet, exit, adjusting the contrast, adjusting brightness, enter and power respectively. This makes it really convenient. It has an integrated power supply, so there are no bulky cables to deal with. The wiring is neat and not messy and troublesome like some monitors and it has a nice and unique stand. The screen is 15" and i personally feel that the price is reasonable. It has a TFT screen, which is supposedly more beneficial for the eyes. With a contrast ratio of 350:1 and a brightness of 250 cd/m2, it offers good picture quality,
It is easy to use and comes...

BenQ monitor
Review of BenQ FP767 v2 by
mightyred
Advantages: Space saver - top picture
Disadvantages: Speakers
...I've had this monitor for 18 months now - and as it was my first venture into the TFT/LCD flatscreen world, I was apprehensive about the quality of picture/dead pixels etc.
I needn't have worried, it shipped without any dead pixels and the picture is fabulous. I had to adjust some of the default contrast/brightness settings as the white of Internet Explorer was far too bright! But this was easily done using the intuitive controls/menu system.
Basics first - if you're looking for a flatscreen, you're basically looking to save space on your desk - the difference is immense, I never thought it would be but it allows me to store DVD cases of my games behind it and generally be alot more tidier. I also got the white version as my walls in the dining room (where my PC is) are white - and I'm pleased I did. The funky blue led on...

Benq Joybook Review
Review of BenQ Joybook 5000U - Pentium M 1.4 GHz - 14.1" TFT by
chappy81
Advantages: Battery Life, Portability, Performance
Disadvantages: Could be zippier
...This laptop is a great compromise of performance, battery life, features and size.
Firstly, being a 14.1" Model, it is noticeably more compact than comparable 15" and 15.4" widescreen models. The TFT Screen is clear and sharp, and perfectly suitable for all windows applications.
The standard out-of-the box specs of this machine are quite reasonable, with 256Mb DDR Ram, 30GB Hard Disk Drive, CD-RW/DVD-ROM Drive and wireless connectivity as well as traditional networking features. The Processor is a Centrino class Pentium M (Mobile) 1.4Ghz. The real benefit of such a chip is the power saving features. Most wireless notebooks utilising other processors will chew through the batteries in a matter of a couple of hours, but this little beauty will hold charge even with wireless switched on for up to 6, yes that's right six hours! this thing...

Benq CD-RW 5232P/W
Review of BenQ CRW 5232P/W by
isidianprayerhall
Advantages: Very quick and easy to use, comes with good software, and is much better than most better known brands
Disadvantages: Being internal, it is a little tricky to set up if you're not brave enough to venture into your computer...
...I bought this CDRW a while back, and I'm impressed. The installation instructions weren't the best I'd ever seen, but they were easy enough to follow regardless - they were only in picture format. After sorting out which of my 2 drives I wanted to be master, and which slave ( a battle in itself, but nothing you wouldn't get with any other model), I turned on my computer, and it was there, ready to go. I installed the included software (Nero 5), and was making discs within the 1/2 hour. It is a very reliable drive, and hasn't let me down once yet, so I can't really comment on customer support, but from looking at the web-site, it looks a bit unsupported. But that just've been at the time I looked at it. It's extremely fast - 52x, 32x, 52x, and if you shop around, you can get it for about £30 ( I got mine from PC World). I would really...

Get a huge stack of 100 CD-Rs cheaply!
Review of BenQ CD-R 700 MB 48x by
blue.summer.sky
Advantages: Cheap and no problems so far.
Disadvantages: Like any cd, you have to check they are ageing ok.
...I've been using BenQ CD-R's for getting on for a year I think and haven't had any trouble with them yet.
PRICE
Check out Amazon.co.uk for this 100 shrink-wrapped pack for just £10.99! The prices seem to have been slashed by about 50% in the last month or so. (Note that they're just shrink-wrapped though - no spindle I think).
THE SPECS
=
The technical info over on Amazon says that they have an estimated life of 100 years and some jargon about "BLER is less than 50 and Jitters less than 35" (which basically equates to fairly standard to good error levels).
They're 700 MB (80 mins) CD's and rated at 52x for writing speed.
MY COMMENTS
=
So, for the time I've had these, none of them have failed to write ok (that's getting on for 100 CD's now) and I haven't had problems with them going bad yet.
I'm only...

Safe/secure online shopping
Review of safedoor.co.uk by
eneva
Advantages: safety and security, trusted company
Disadvantages: range of stores available
...I bought "Gladiator" on video from 101CD using the new SafeDoor service.
I found the SafeDoor site fairly easy to use but the real attraction was that I didn't have to give my credit card details to 101CD (who I don't know from Adam). I registered my credit card with SafeDoor, which is run by Securicor (who I do know!) and after that point I was assured that my credit card details would not be sent to 101CD as I paid SafeDoor instead of 101CD.
I think the idea is great but they don't have a lot of stores available at the moment. They only just launched and more stores are being added weekly so I'm sure this won't be a problem for long.
I guess the downside is that you are limited to the stores that they feature but if that means I can shop anonymously then it's not a major problem.
As far as 101CD is concerned, it took a little while...
