Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.

...At first I wasn't convinced by up-scaling DVD player technology but was persuaded after reading an article in "What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision" magazine. Unable to afford a Blu-Ray player my sister and I bought the Panasonic DVD-S54 to match our parents brand new Panasonic TX-32LZD80 LCD television as their Christmas 2008 present. Admittedly it was a slightly selfish purchase as we both live at home and wanted to watch DVDs on the big new TV ourselves! We bought the player from the electrical retailer Comet for about £100 just before Christmas so there were no discounts applied. On Christmas day when opened we found a relatively small box tightly packed with the player in polystyrene packaging. Bernard Cornwell's Harlequin brings the middle ages to life

Advantages: there are two more books! If you like Bernard Cornwell's Sharpe you will love this.
Disadvantages: the excess use of Saints, the complicated vocabulary

...The first book in Bernard Cornwell's Grail Quest, with Thomas of Hookton replacing Richard Sharpe as the hero, is magical. In my opinion Cornwell is the one of, if not the best writers of historical fiction out there and he has excelled himself with this book. His portrayal of England and France in the 1300s (the run up to the Battle of Crecy) is such that you actually feel you are there but it is his characters which show him for the master that he undoubtably is. Thomas just wants his bow and his women and this is something which not change throughout the novel as we see him change from sallow youth lucky to kill several of those who have pillaged his village into a fully fledged longbow man, a true master of the medieval battlefield. Cornwell's overall grasp of medieval life is stunning with everyone from the Kings...

...As usual Lee Evans is absolutely on top form. This dvd is packed with hilarious lines that will have you laughing until you cry. You also lose the ability to breathe at times as your laughing so hard. Lee Evans has this amazing abillity to talk about normal daily events and turn them into something that you cant help laughing at and also sometimes if you think about it you can remember a time when you have done or seen someone else doing just what he is saying. He also backs up his lines with ridiculous facial expressions. This dvd is definately worth every penny it certainly will give a good evening of laughter and keep you totally entertained. I cannot begin to explain how totally funny this guy is to someone who has not seen Lee Evans before. I deinately would say that he is well worth watching for a good pickup. I certainly do...

...I have travelled many times with AddLee, and on all occasions I have been thoroughly impressed by the proffesionalism and politeness of the drivers and customer service staff. When I booked my taxi I received an e-mail on my Blackberry and then once a driver was allocated a text message. When my taxi was outside (on time - early infact) I received another text with the cars details and registration, and the drivers mobile number should I need to contact him. I left my house and the driver was dressed in a shirt and tie and opened the door for me, which for a minicab was very unexpected. The driver was very polite and properly (also unusual for a minicab) All the cars are either VW Sharans or Ford Galaxy MVP's - all under 2 years old and are all a sleek black colour and clean. Mercedes are also available at an extra cost...
