...be in your account with half an hour. WHY CHOOSE HSBC? But why choose HSBC I here you say. Plenty of other companies offer personal loans, some are even cheaper than HSBC. Well HSBC is the largest high street bank in the UK, (actually the second biggest bank in the world!!!!!), which means they are a reputable company with a good reputation. With branches on most high streets you can call in at any time if you have any questions or queries. I have served many customers over the last four years that have been offered a better deal from an internet bank or a telephone offer an they have still chosen to take the HSBC loan. When I have asked the question WHY, they have all answered the same. Sometimes the cheapest deal is not always the best, and at least they know if there are ever any problems, they have got a person to refer to...

...I applied for an unsecured loan with Halifax, I really wasn't sure where to start as I'm new to the loans market - I'd never considered one before but I was looking for a new flat and wanted the cash for a deposit. I think it is wise to compare loans before you choose because there are so many out there!! I used financial comparison sites to help me, one I used was Which Way To Pay (www.whichwaytopay.com) , they have a really good breakdown system of each loan. Halifax were straigh to the point and I was happy with the no repayments for the first 3 months system as that was perfect for getting settled in my new flat! ...I love being an Egg customer and use a variety of their products including the Egg Card, Egg Money, Savings, Loan and Egg Money Manager. As with most Egg products, their loan is excellent. Taking out a loan is a long term commitment and the Egg loan offers some very important features that could save you a lot of money in the long run. The big plus for me is the fact that Egg charges the interest on a daily basis. This means if you pay the loan off early, or over pay, then you get charged less interest which gives you more control over your finances. ...I have always found Barclays in general to be great to me and very helpful. I use online banking daily and find it excillent for finding out my bank balance. I used the new loan site and applied for a £500 loan, I was shocked to find I had been decliend. Yet a month before I was offered a £1000 loan. I cannot understand why they throw money at you when you do not need it, and yet when I am need a loan it is never there. I find the site itself quite user friendly but I wish they would make the site a little more fun by having competitions etc....

I was not interested in just any loan as it was not desperate situation. The particular reason for applying for loan was I did expect Bank of England interest rate to go up as American interest rate gone up several times by that time (Honest).
