Best Western Hotel, Dublin.

Advantages: Close to tram stop and airport bus stop.
Disadvantages: Can get quite busy with people checking in & out.

...I have stayed at this hotel twice in the last few years. Its quite a way outside the main Temple-Bar area but is right by the tram stops. As the trams run very regularily getting about is easy. The hotel is very close to Houston rail station. If you fly into Dublin airport one of the many buses outside the airport will take you to the station and the hotel is about a 3 minute walk away. The rooms are sparce and basic but suitable. The breakfast is very good and you certainly wont want for a large lunch. This is a big fry-up with all the trimmings. The cost of the hotel is middle of the road but reasonable for what you get. Yes its reasonably basic inside but you get what you pay for. It does get quite busy and checking in and out can take up a little time. There is the facility to leave luggage there if you arrive...

The Best Hotel In Dublin

Advantages: Too many to list,Service,Food,Pool,Location,Rooms,Decor
Disadvantages: Expensive but worth every penny

...I spent three nights here last Valentines having eaten in The Cellar resturaunt on a previous visit to Dublin. This time we ate in The Patrick Guilbaud - a two michelin starred resturaunt also inside the hotel. We had lunch on Valentines day and it was absolutely fantastic, the service was second to none, as it is in the rest of the hotel, nobody can do enough for you cleaners stop to open doors for you, and the desk and bar staff are brilliant. We thought the staff must be on double money permenantly as we have never stayed at a hotel with such good service before. The room was just a standard one but was spacious and very nicely decorated and the bathroom was italian marble. It was probably the best hotel we have ever stayed in, taking everything into account and we hope to return next year with my parents as it is their 40th wedding...

Heart of Dublin

Advantages: welcoming, clean, central

...which is their tram is 10 minutes walk. I found this hotel to be in an excellent location although I was sick and tired of walking by the end. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to make a stop in Dublin without having to pay a phenomenal amount of money. All rooms have a Yellow Pages equivalent so that you can find your way and the TV is a good reception, also lots of sockets. To book a room just go to http://www.jurysdoyle.com/ for a great deal. All hotels have photos to show what they look like and the Parnell ones are very accurate. They have more than one hotel in Dublin though but I'd say this is the best location for those wanting to be near everything including Temple Bar the main nightlife area....

Stay Dublin Apartments

Advantages: In city centre, Guiness Factory and shops are just a small walk away
Disadvantages: Hard to find location. Make sure you have a map or type in on GPS

...place with a glass railing. You can see a very small amount of Dublin all I could see is an astro turf where children was playing football. Overall... Overall the Stay Dublin Penthouse Apartments are an excellent apartment. One of the best I have stayed in yet. It has a lot of features to offer including vendors on the bottom floors and safe parking for just Euro10 a night. The T.V. also has UTV for people who live in Northern Ireland and want to hear there news. And they have other major T.V. channels including BBC, RTE and Sentanta Sports. I would recommend anyone who wants to stay in Dublin for a week or two to go to www.staycity.com . And check out the apartments on Augustine Street. ...I stayed at the Bewleys Hotel once before flying out from Dublin Airport, its a great location if you chose to fly from Dublin and live quite far away from it. The double room we stayed in cost around 69 euros for one night, this is reasonable when you look at it from the point of view that travelling to the airport will be much easier the day after and also that your holiday begins a day earlier by staying there. The room was clean and tidy and quite modernly decorated, there were two large (well big enough) double beds in the twin room and a small sitting area, the bathroom was clean and had a shower and a bath in it and had a few little treats like shower gel and a small sewing kit in it which I always like when I am staying in a hotel. There was a decent sized tv in the room that had a good range of channels that catered...

...A couple of weekends ago my boyfriend and I went to a wedding in Ireland. We were going to arrive late at night so I thought it was best if we stayed in a hotel near the airport on the night we arrived, and then go on to our final destination on the following morning. I searched on Lastminute.com and found the ?Travelodge Dublin Airport Ballymun?. It was a 3* hotel and on lastminute cost a mere £41.52 for a double room, but the best part was that (I thought) it was close to the airport. When we arrived it seems that there were no shuttle buses running to the hotel, so we jumped in a taxi thinking that the hotel wasn?t too far away.. then we started driving, and driving and driving. There are a lot of road works going on around Dublin airport so the taxi driver couldn?t take the closest exit to go to the hotel, so we ended up paying ?20...

...I have now been to Dublin twice and both times i have stayed at Blooms Hotel as i was so impressed with it the first time. Blooms is a 3-star Hotel. LOCATION Firstly the location of Blooms is perfect for a nice weekend in Dublin. It is located in Angelsea Street which is in the Temple Bar area which means that within a few hundred yards you have a large selection of bars and restaurants which is perfect. Also within a ten minute walk is Grafton Street which is the main shopping area of Dublin.
