Best Love story ever - Moulin Rouge

Advantages: Lets out your emotions, makes you see life differently, Brilliant to watch
Disadvantages: there are none!

...I would say this is the best Love Story ever since Romeo and Juliet. I have watched this film at least 20 times and know all the lyrics to all the songs. Its just such an emotional film, and yet pure genious at the same time. Christian (Ewan Mcgregor) wants to write a novel about love, his favourite subject. But the only probablem was, he had never been in love.... So while he was thinking what to do, an unconscience argentinian fell through his roof, and that is when is amazing journey started. Many famous actors are in the film including, Kyle, Nicole Kidman, Ozzy Ozborn, and of course Ewan Mcgregor. Advantages: smells gorgeous, great staying power, cheap

...Christian Lacroix ~ Rouge ~ Eau De Parfum My local Avon representative gave me a sample of Christian Lacroix Rouge perfume to sample in September last year. I fell in love with the scent of the perfume almost instantly and decided to purchase a bottle of it; I love the scent that much that I have already polished off three bottles of it and have a fourth one on the way. The fragrance was launched in September 2007 in partnership with Avon; Avon currently sell Rouge for the price of £18 for a 50ml bottle. There is also a male version available too and this is called Noir which smells just as nice as the female version. As you can see from the picture at the top of this review the bottle of perfume is quite chunky and resembles a the shape of a tear drop and has a lovely chunky lid on top. The translation of the title meaning the Red Circle was based upon a Buddhist motto about those people who are destined to meet, eventually will. Advantages: Great story, amazing actors/actresses, worth watching
Disadvantages: Beginning bit quite boring

...This has to be the best film I have ever watched. It's one of my favourites. I can't remember the first time I watched it, I think I was about 14 me and my dad were at his and he put it on ... I'm not normally into music ones where theres loads of singing and dancing but this was just amazing. Especially the scene in Satine's bedroom and also on the elephant those bits were just fantastic. The film is contorversial and I would recommend your careful showing young children this film because of the sexy bits that appear in the film. THE PLOT Moulin Rouge is set in Paris at the start of the 1900's, with Ewan McGregor on his type writer. Advantages: Modern songs, great costumes, great actors/actresses.
Disadvantages: The plot wasn't that easy to follow.

Advantages: good value for money, lots of tracks
Disadvantages: none come to mind

...For anyone who loved the film, this special edition soundrack album is a must have. Featuring all the songs from the musical, plus mixes and variations, this is a fantastic album. The collectors edition, is a 2 cd set, the main soundtrack album, plus a bonus disc, featuring other songs from the film, and also mixes of some of the tracks. The 2 cds each come in thier own case, and come in a red cardboard sleeve, with a gold picture frame, inside are the words moulin rouge. This album was released in 2002, following the huge success of the film. The film itslef was produced by Baz Luhrman, who is also famous for the musical strictly ballroom. Degree of commonsense needed at Cambridge Cafe Rouge

Advantages: Bargain prices, classic French dishes
Disadvantages: More adventurous dishes probably best avoided

...On a recent trip back to my old university town I was dining alone and did not want to look too sad and pathetic. Chain restaurants are not normally my thing but Cafe Rouge is rather different in its style: the decor is usually pleasant, food reliable, and I wanted to eat something healthy which ruled out pub food or the Eraina, the Greek taverna of my youth which I would normally have headed for. Cafe Rouge is opposite St John's College and next to the Baron of Beef pub, which has been completely destroyed by refurbishers. "Moulin Rouge" by an undying musical fan.

Advantages: All aspects of the film
Disadvantages: I'm biased and cannot find any disadvantages

...I just love musicals and always have done! This was a real eye opener for me as it takes a classic,l highly unoriginal idea of the poor writer falling for the ambitious actress only to be rebuffed, one over and then TRAGEDY strikes. However, in Moulin Rouge, the director, who previously made Romeo and Juliet and recently presented Australia, presents it all in a state of the art way and has you foot tapping until the end The sheer ambition of the presentation blows your breath away and the quirky use of pop classics is great fun. The main actors sing amazingly well and it was the film that definitetly showed that Nicole Kidman was a force to be reckoned with!!!!! Cafe Rouge - take it or leave it

Advantages: Nice atmosphere, good location
Disadvantages: Average food, pricey

...For my first visit to Cafe Roug, my wife said we should go to the Salford Quays outlet. So, with Tesco vouchers in hand, we made our way there last Saturday. We were early enough to not have to book and got a nice central table. The service was quick and sort of friendly. I am prepared to stand corrected on this one, we were both unconvinced that, despite their French accents, the majority of staff are no more French than myself. The menu is varied although if you are a strict vegetarian, who does not eat fish, you will be stumped apart from one dish. I wouldn't say there was a huge choice but it is ample with four or five options within the main categories of fish, salad and steaks.
