RoomsThe building itself looked ?ok? I can?t really describe it any other way, it was a square building with grey walls but on entering it was actually very well set out. Stone floors and stairs, interesting antiques and very clean so I was quite looking forward seeing the rooms. Well I was disappointed. The rooms pictured on the BestWestern website looked nothing like ours. I can only imagine that they are executive rooms and not standard ones. While ?grumpy?s? room had been recently refurbished ours looked like something from the Crossroads Motel. (Old midlands soap opera).

...BestWestern Montana, Zurich is very close to the main Zurich railway station which was our reason for choosing this hotel. We paid £323 for three nights bed and breakfast in a double room. For Zurich this did not seem to be bad value for money.
The hotel has a restaurant serving evening meals but we did not try them as they seemed a bit pricey for what we wanted, and we found good food available elsewhere, notably at the station.
On arrival our reservation was easily found, we had booked through Alpharooms. The receptionist changed to English as soon as we spoke to her and there was no language problem at all. Being the main centre for U Boat construction during WW2, Keil was then a favourite destination for RAF Bomber Command and was badly damaged; the reconstruction is about as imaginative as some similar city centres in the UK such as Plymouth - in other words a quick-fix urban monstrosity.
The BestWestern Hotel in Kiel rose up out of an existing office block and despite some attempts to disguise the fact, it shows. In terms of four star status it doesn't deserve it if you compare what you get in most four star hotels in the rest of Europe.

...We stayed in The BestWestern Frankfurt Plaza in July 2006 as part of our fabulous summer holiday in Austria and Germany.
Not having booked any of the trip I was pleasantly surprised at this hotel in Frankfurt. I was even more pleased due to the rather grotty hostel we had just frequented in Innsbruck, Austria. Anything would have been better than that! Review coming soon.

The plaza is located on Esslinger Strasse which is about a ten minute walk from hauptbanhof - the main train station in Frankfurt. There is a tourist information kiosk in the station where you can get a map of the city and locate the hotel. I have added picture below of a map of the city centre with the hotels location on it...

My hotel room was very comfortable and clean with a modern bathroom with the usual toiletries. A reasonable buffet breakfast is included in the price. Room service seemed very restricted ? although the bar did toasted sandwiches.
If you are on a tight budget, advance internet booking on BestWestern's website gives good value for money for the Hotel Mediterraneo. However, I don?t think this hotel would suit everyone. ...I recently had to travel to London for a training course and chose to drive up from Christchurch to the outskirts of London from where I could catch the tube in to my training centre each day.
I had previously stayed in BestWestern hotels at various locations in Europe so I felt confident in choosing this hotel to stay in.
I also ascertained that the nearest tube station (Osterley, Picadilly line) was only a short 10-15 minute walk away and the journey time into Holborn (the station nearest to my training centre) was only 50 minutes and cost £6 for a day return.
I found the hotel very easily, having travelled up the M3 and then onto the M25 I took the exit for the M4 towards London leaving the M4 at junction 3 from where it was only 10 minutes along the A312/A4 to the hotel.
