The best western...it's all in the name

Advantages: great comfort, smart and sleek decor, extremely close to the eiffel tower!
Disadvantages: relatively small

...I spent my time in Paris at the Best Western Au Trocadero and I just wanted to take some time to recommend them to anyone else interested in staying in Paris. The hotel itself is rather small but the modern decor decieves you into thinking it is substantially more spacious. The tiled floors and mirrored walls of the lobby give a pristine, clean look about the place, giving the aesthetics of an expensive yet comfortable place to stay. The staff on reception never failed to be welcoming and plesant, making you feel at home in a foreign country. However, unfortunately I must admit the cleaning staff were't as welcoming, and at a push could even come across as rude. ...I stayed at the Best Western Premier Eiffel Park in early May of this year for six nights. My mother and I booked into a twin room via the Best Western website as it had the cheapest rates, around 120 euros a night for non-refundable internet rates (there were several listed rates). I chose the hotel based on positive reviews from a few review sites, location and price being my primary needs. Having been to Paris once before I knew that at this price range we were looking for comfortable and adequate, likely small rooms. There were a few others that seemed a bit more charming/unique but they were booked as we left it a bit late. Best Western Le Donjon Les Ramparts certainly not Best Value

Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Split into different buildings, expensive.

I can?t really describe it any other way, it was a square building with grey walls but on entering it was actually very well set out. Stone floors and stairs, interesting antiques and very clean so I was quite looking forward seeing the rooms. Well I was disappointed. The rooms pictured on the Best Western website looked nothing like ours. I can only imagine that they are executive rooms and not standard ones. ...Kiel is not the most conducive place for a winter holiday so it has to be reasoned that anyone wishing to stay there then would either do so on business or in transit. Being the main centre for U Boat construction during WW2, Keil was then a favourite destination for RAF Bomber Command and was badly damaged; the reconstruction is about as imaginative as some similar city centres in the UK such as Plymouth - in other words a quick-fix urban monstrosity. The Best Western Hotel in Kiel rose up out of an existing office block and despite some attempts to disguise the fact, it shows. Advantages: Close to tram stop and airport bus stop.
Disadvantages: Can get quite busy with people checking in & out.

Best Western Plaza Hotel, Frankfurt

Advantages: Central and reasonably priced
Disadvantages: far too much choice at breakfast.

...We stayed in The Best Western Frankfurt Plaza in July 2006 as part of our fabulous summer holiday in Austria and Germany. Not having booked any of the trip I was pleasantly surprised at this hotel in Frankfurt. I was even more pleased due to the rather grotty hostel we had just frequented in Innsbruck, Austria. Anything would have been better than that! Review coming soon. The hotel is a three star and has forty five rooms all easily accessible by a lift in the main reception. *~*~Location*~*~ The plaza is located on Esslinger Strasse which is about a ten minute walk from hauptbanhof - the main train station in Frankfurt. Best Western Master Robert Hotel, Hounslow.

Advantages: Easy access to all major routes in and out of London
Disadvantages: Directly under Heathrow Airport flight path

...I recently had to travel to London for a training course and chose to drive up from Christchurch to the outskirts of London from where I could catch the tube in to my training centre each day. I had previously stayed in Best Western hotels at various locations in Europe so I felt confident in choosing this hotel to stay in. I also ascertained that the nearest tube station (Osterley, Picadilly line) was only a short 10-15 minute walk away and the journey time into Holborn (the station nearest to my training centre) was only 50 minutes and cost £6 for a day return. I found the hotel very easily, having travelled up the M3 and then onto the M25 I took the exit for the M4 towards London leaving the M4 at junction 3 from where it was only 10 minutes along the A312/A4 to the hotel.
