...etc. I wished I had booked the Una Palace in Via Etnea, which looked brilliant. It is in the main shopping street with loads of cafes, bars, shops etc. and has a roof terrace which would give brilliant views of the volcano. I thought about moving hotels, but couldn't afford to pay again. My hotel room was very comfortable and clean with a modern bathroom with the usual toiletries. A reasonable buffet breakfast is included in the price. Room service seemed very restricted – although the bar did toasted sandwiches. If you are on a tight budget, advance internet booking on Best Western's website gives good value for money for the Hotel Mediterraneo. However, I don’t think this hotel would suit everyone. ...This Best Western hotel is one of about six Best Western Hotels all in this old part of Istanbul known as Sultanahmet. It really is in a very convenient location and the LOCATION is its greatest asset. It is a three star hotel in an area containing five star holiday attractions. The hotel advertises its roof terrace as the sort of restaurant under the stars of everyone's dreams. I thought it was jaded and thus overrated with a distant view of the sea which was hardly on the waterfront. The rooms are OK. I had a de-luxe room which had been reduced on-line from an advertised price of Euros 134 to Euros 75.The TV had CNN and BBC World and the bed was very comfortable. I found the decor a bit drab. ...We stayed in The Best Western Frankfurt Plaza in July 2006 as part of our fabulous summer holiday in Austria and Germany. Not having booked any of the trip I was pleasantly surprised at this hotel in Frankfurt. I was even more pleased due to the rather grotty hostel we had just frequented in Innsbruck, Austria. Anything would have been better than that! Review coming soon. The hotel is a three star and has forty five rooms all easily accessible by a lift in the main reception. *~*~Location*~*~ The plaza is located on Esslinger Strasse which is about a ten minute walk from hauptbanhof - the main train station in Frankfurt. Advantages: Easy access to all major routes in and out of London
Disadvantages: Directly under Heathrow Airport flight path

...I recently had to travel to London for a training course and chose to drive up from Christchurch to the outskirts of London from where I could catch the tube in to my training centre each day. I had previously stayed in Best Western hotels at various locations in Europe so I felt confident in choosing this hotel to stay in. I also ascertained that the nearest tube station (Osterley, Picadilly line) was only a short 10-15 minute walk away and the journey time into Holborn (the station nearest to my training centre) was only 50 minutes and cost £6 for a day return. I found the hotel very easily, having travelled up the M3 and then onto the M25 I took the exit for the M4 towards London leaving the M4 at junction 3 from where it was only 10 minutes along the A312/A4 to the hotel. ...We stayed in the Best Western Lion Hotel for one night on 19th Jan 2008 as we were attending my Aunt & Uncles 50th wedding anniversary party in the nearby Shireoaks Inn. The reason we chose to stay at the Lion was mainly down to its proximity to the Shireoaks (just round the corner) and because we had stayed at Best Westerns in the past and found them to be very agreeable. Also the same day as we got the invite to the party we received an offer from Best Western in the post for up to 50% off stays in January and February. We decided to upgrade to an executive room (wasn't my decision) and this cost us £73 including breakfast instead of £53 for the standard room with the offer. ...~~~~First Impressions~~~~ When driving up to the hotel you are immediately struck by how lovely this Edwardian building is. The building has been extended to include more bedrooms and a business/conference centre. And we were more then pleased when we seen it. From the driveway, we could see lovely rooms with balconies and we could see into the restaurant and a conservatory style coffee area. Facing the hotel was a park which had a playground and pitch within it, a pleasant enough view. There was plenty of parking in the car park and parking was free during our stay. The hotel reception was small but beautiful, very in-keeping with the Edwardian building it was housed in.
