I used to hate going to the gym but Wii Fit has transformed Mii

Advantages: Helps improve posture and fitness in a fun way
Disadvantages: You may get bored of the activities after a while and not great if you are already very fit

...Ever since the Wii Fit came out I was determined to get one. I have gym membership but I work long hours and often don't have the energy after work to trek up to the gym, do a work out and still have to make it home afterwards. If truth be told, I also don't have the self motivation to go to the gym regularly. I thought the Wii Fit would give me a way of getting fit without feeling like I was actually working out. When I finally got my Wii Fit for my birthday I was over the moon! The Wii Fit consists of a disc and Wii balance board which you synchronise with your Wii. This is very simple and only takes a minute or 2 to follow the simple instructions and sync the board. When you have inserted the disc and synchronised the board, you go to the main menu where you choose a Mii, which is your on screen persona. You choose from...

A great home multi gym

Advantages: Great value for money, plenty of weights
Disadvantages: Takes a while to build, inability to add additional weights

...use it would be. I had been looking at getting back to a gym but never got around to it. The decision was made to buy a multi-gym. ****Choosing the correct multi-gym*** There are many home multi-gyms in the market and I was at a total loss what to get. There are a few questions that need to be answered such as What are my goals? How much weight is required to achieve this? (determines the size of the weight stack) What exercises do I need to do to achieve my goals? How much am I willing to spend? How much room have I got available. Once the type of gym has been narrowed down it is then important to look at manufacturers, such as York, Weider, Marcy, Powerline, V-Fit to name but a few. I found this process an arduous task and decided to ask someone who knows. I discussed my requirements with a chap at Fitness Superstore who...

Diamond review  Wii Fit

Advantages: great for weightloss, fun for all the family, improves posture, balance and health
Disadvantages: expensive, can only register up to 8 family members

...im not all that bothered about that I never get round to it. However, with the wii fit its in the living room and I can do it in the privacy of my own home. If im going to get hot and sweaty I can do it in some old clothes or pyjamas and then have a proper bath or shower in the comfort of my house. I'd never get round to going to the gym but with the wii fit entering my line of vision every time I walk past the television its hard to resist!!! The added element of competition definitely helps too! Every now and then the program will also ask your family members to comment on various aspects of your health. For example my brother got a question about whether I was looking any thinner and gave him a variety of options - he delighted in selecting an option saying that I looked fatter!! I have also had questions on family members posture...

Wii Fit

Advantages: Easy way to keep fit.
Disadvantages: Can't think of any.

...Last Christmas, my mum (a.k.a. "Santa") got the family a Wii Fit - hinting at my sister and I that we need to keep fit. I'm going to admit, I'm a bit fat. Now, I'm not one of those people you see in documentaries who can't get out of bed because they're huge but I could stand to lose a stone or two. I used to go to the gym twice a week but I found it too difficult and it was straining keeping up with my trainer, and I felt embarassed whenever I told him I couldn't do something. I did lose about half a stone though so I was happy about that. When I started using the Wii fit I was a bit anxious about trying it out because it had been a while since I'd been to the gym and I wasn't too keen to let my family see how unfit I was! However, I've been using it on-and-off since Christmas and it's great! It's been about a month since I last used it...

Wii Fit

Advantages: Helps you lose weight, tracks your progress
Disadvantages: You need quite a bit of space for the balance board

...' account which enables you to log exercise such as swimming, walking, running, tennis etc. in addition to your wii fit training which I think is good because although the wii fit is a good, I don't think it should be a substitute for cardio exercise. I use it mainly to tone up and do the yoga to help my posture, and on occasion I do an hour's training if I haven't been able to go to the gym. I feel that I have invested well in the wii fit, as it is a great supplement to my normal routine of swimming four times a week. My posture has improved as well as my centre of gravity and I think it is money well spent....

Wii Fit

Advantages: It aactually works!!!
Disadvantages: It's very addictive

...I think the Wii Fit is a must for any Wii owner, it actually works! I bought my Wii Fit around a month ago and I use it everyday for around 30 minutes. Its so much fun you honestly dont know where the time goes. The body tests provide an accurate reading of your weight or BMI and you can set yourself weight loss targets that are realistic. Since buying mine I've lost half a stone in a month and because its a gradual weight loss it stays off. The balance games are great fun while the other games provide quite a tough physical workout. If your looking to play the Wii Fit just for fun and aren't too woried about losing weight then its still great fun playing and compteing with others. If you have a Wii then you MUST get this!!!!!...

Wii Mii Gets fit

Advantages: Great for the whole family, fun, easy to use, amazing concept
Disadvantages: Board can become a little uncomfortable on your feet

...front of the tv, switch it on and step on. I personally love this concept. I have input my own personal goals into the wii fit system and have been able to monitor my progress with ease, and best of all, I thoroughly enjoy exercising. It is a lot less tedious than hopping off to the gym several times a week, and it provides fun for the whole family. I have only been using this seriously for a week and a bit but already my BMI has dropped by 0.15 and I have lost 1lb. I especially enjoyed created my own personal Mii for Wii fit. One of the disappointments with this programme is your wii fit age tends to change on a daily basis and so I tend not to take too much notice of this as it clearly is not an accurate measurement. Also the board itself can become a little uncomfortable under your feet when you've been using it for a while...

Keeping fit

Advantages: something different, fun for all
Disadvantages: doesn't exactly count as a weight-loss program

...The Wii Fits? sounds and music are average. The music ranges from up-beat tempo workout songs to new style tunes. If the player is using the Wii Fit to improve their fitness they will be wearing an MP3 player or IPOD so they can listen to their own style of music while working out. There are some specific audio cues for certain exercises and games that must be followed in order to score well but if the player is participating in these they will more than likely have turned their MP3 off so that they can hear. There is some in-game speech as well, from your on-screen personal trainer. Once the trainer walks you through the exercise, most of what is said after that is pretty much repeated most of the time. Some of what is said doesn?t even really have any bearing to what you?re doing at that moment in time. The sounds and music are by no...

wii fit

Advantages: weight loss or weight gain depending on what you choose to do. very fun games!
Disadvantages: its not entirely accurate, can strain yourself if you over do it.

...and easy way to stay in great shape. The game includes lots of Yoga activites such as breathing exercises and balance exercises to help build muscle and help balance. There are muscle work outs to tone and shape every part of the body and each individual exercise aims it at a certain part of the body. There are balance games such as hula hoop where you use the balane board to sin the hoops etc. The game is packed with plenty to do you won't ever get bored and can get in great shape. The price of this product usually depends on where youu buy it from but the average price is around £69.99. I think its money well worth spent. Instead of paying for all those gym fee you can pay that one off price and get in shape 24hours a day, 7 days a week. With my experience with the wii fit it can be a little wrong when weighing you so its best that you...

Can getting fit really be fun???

Advantages: Shows you how to do exercises correctly, balance games are fun, the balance board
Disadvantages: doesn't get that hard if you are really looking to build your fitness

...I bought my wii fit a few months ago now and after a couple of uses put it away and forgot about it. I started doing normal exercise DVDs instead as I thought they would be more beneficial. Sadly my complete lack of will power meant I didn't do the DVDs for long either! Over the last year I have piled the weight on and I must admit I am dreading the summer. I am the largest of all my friends and work colleagues and I am embarrassed about taking part in activities as I am so unfit and self conscious. I have stopped wearing skirts and dresses and now live in the same baggy tops and jeans. The annoying thing is I know when I put my mind to it I can loose weight and follow an exercise routine. I have done it before and lost over 3 stone. The problem is keeping it off and staying healthy. Also I hurt my knee two years ago on a skiing...
