...Bic Biro
This product is surely something everyone has come across and it is a total favourite of mine. It has been around for many years and is popular with most school goers and workers alike.
Bic has been the leading manufacturer in stationary products for many years and has been operating since 1950. This Bic Biro Cristal BallPoint pen was added to the collection at the Museum of Modern Art of New York. Which is pretty amazing to me. Bic sold its hundredth billion ballpoint pen in 2005, which must have generated some real income for them!
Ok so this Bic biro is basically a clear plastic slightly hexagon shaped pen measuring around 12 cm with a gold coloured tip which is attached to the inside ink cartridge that is visible through the outer casing. There is a detachable lid with a air hole in the tip encase...

Review of Bic Biro
Advantages: Cheap, reliable and easy to use Disadvantages: None
...The Bic Biro is possibly the most recognisable pen in the writing world. Simple, unique and classic.
In 1945, Marcel Bich and Edouard Buffard bought a factory outside Paris and set up a business making parts for fountain pens and mechanical lead pencils. As the development of the ballpoint pen advances in the United States and Europe, Bich saw the potential for this new, innovative writing implement. Bich obtained the patent to a ball point pen created by a Hungarian inventor named Ladislao Biro. In 1950, Marcel Bich introduced his own ball pen, the reliable, affordable, Bic Cristal ballpoint pen.
The Bic Biro is not a complicated pen, it is essentially a plastic hexagonal tube with a cap at the end containing another plastic tube with a writing nib at the top. This tube is filled with ink. The pen, when new anyway, has a plain...

Review of Bic Biro
Advantages: Effortlessly practical Disadvantages: Reinforces my pen chewing habit
...Everything's alright
When I write
Black, red or blue
Line stays true
No hint of pretension
In this clear plastic shell
Used to tell
To compel
Or to quell
With the written word
Affordable
Portable
Expendable
Indispensable
A ballpoint with ageless grace
And a place
In everyday use
No matter where, when or how
It's a neat trick
Performed by this biro from Bic
Ubiquity achieved
From an idea conceived
So simply
So completely
I sit down to write
A letter
A story
Dare I say...
An ode
I don't reach for the fountain pen
Though it exudes class
I look past
The pencil is high maintenance
Never a sharp point
The page to anoint
But the Bic Biro is there
Chewed end
Battered lid
Ready to send
My thoughts into life
Thank you Bic
For being
And for seeing
The need for practicality
Embracing...

Review of Bic Biro
Advantages: Easily accessible, light, beautiful voice Disadvantages: Less quirky than her earlier work, too melancholy for some
...Bic (pronounced Bec) Runga is a teeny tiny singer from New Zealand and Birds is her third studio album. You may have heard her song "Sway" (from her first album Drive) on the American Pie soundtrack. The album I have is imported from New Zealand; the UK release is slightly different.
This album cover isn't much to look at. You can see from the picture that it doesn't exactly reach out and grab your attention. The booklet itself, though, has some really beautiful black and white pictures of endemic New Zealand birds as well as another portrait of Bic, also in black and white. Other than that it simply has the thanks, contributors and details of booklet production - no lyrics (in case you're a singer-alonger). On the back cover is the track listing:
1) Winning Arrow
2) Say After Me
3) Listen
4) Birds
5) Ruby Nights
6) No Crying...

Review of Birds - Bic Runga
Advantages: Cheap Disadvantages: Not Long Lasting, Lethal, Flimsy
...you don't use any aftershave, there is nothing different in appearence to the non-sensitive Bics so unless the blade is made of a different material I think this is just a plain faced marketing lie.
The razors are manufactured from the lowest quality plastic known to man, (just like the pens)and you can even break it if you squeeze or bite it hard enough (again like the pens). A small orange cover is fitted over the blade, which is colour co-ordinated with the handle and there for safety so you don't cut yourself, although you will once you remove it. This can also be quite difficult, just be careful as you are sliding it off that you dont accidently slip your finger across the blade.
Upon removing the cover you think to yourself, "how can i use that on my face?" there is just the one blade and no protection wires to prevent you...
Advantages: Easy to use and leaves good results Disadvantages: Quality of blades and flimsy design
...Waiting for the first hair on my chin were like waiting for my 18th birthday all these years, in John Prescott?s case, waiting for another doughnut!
The only thing was, I never seem to knew which day would be the day that I?d wake up to find my first her and take that big step in life to take hold of a razor and shave it off.
But that day came and went really soon as it?d take a while to grow back my proud little bum fluff. But continue shaving is what I did and my cute little bum fluff soon turned into the hard bristle that men of 30 envy.
Being the youngster like most I am, money isn?t a word he hear that often, as we never have it unless we steal for it (joke). An electric razor would have been out of the question so disposable razors there I came.
The French make Bic are no doubt the biggest brand of disposable razor...
...I am probebly one of only a few consumers that actually like bic sensative. I find that to me they are safe, as in I have not cut myself on one yet. I shave my legs, arms, fingers, the lot. I also find that at £1.09 for a pack of 10 very reasonable.
The packaging may leave alot to be desired. A plastic bag, but to upgrade packaging I suppose
would inevitably up the price.
I do not use shaving accesories with the razor, just soap.
Rashes? I never had a rash from using the sensitive razor.
Price value for money? Yes without a doubt.
Widely available? Yes , I see them in all the major supermarkets.
Compared to other brands? I have been using bic sensitive for so long, although I am aware of using others previouslyI stayed with bic once I discovered it was the one for me.
If I was asked how bic could improve its product, I would not...
Advantages: cheap, good quality Disadvantages: they disappear
...In 2008 Bic Biro celebrated its 70th birthday, congratulations and jubilations! You?re still going strong, may your ball roll for many more years!
In many English-speaking countries, including the UK, Australia and New Zealand, the trademark Biro has reached the pinnacle, more is not possible for a product, it has become the synonym for any ball point pen. I wonder if the Hungarian László József Bíró (1899 ? 1985) who invented this writing instrument in 1938 foresaw such a success. (from Wikipedia) ?While working as a journalist, he noticed that the ink used in newspaper printing dried quickly, leaving the paper dry and smudge-free. He tried using the same ink in a fountain pen but found that it would not flow into the tip, as it was too viscous. ? he developed a new tip consisting of a ball that was free to turn in a socket, and as...
