Their was nothing complexed about the design or shape, I hate the new phones which really are just too big and funny looking; Apple kept it simple and clear. The phone's screen size is about 3.5 inches in diagonal length and the phone itself was 115×61×11.6 mm in length and only weighted around 135g. The weight of the phone was very appealing to me too, it wasn't too big, and it could fit into your pocket and not weigh you down. Battery Life To be honest I heard some good reviews about the battery life for this phone, initially the phone had a standard battery life of 250 hours, of which 8 hours were talk time, 6 for internet use, and 7 for video use and 24 hours for audio use. I though great, it's not everyday you see a phone that can play music for over 24 hours...

  The Apple Of My i

Advantages: Full Internet, Massive storage, Great design, Superb battery life.
Disadvantages: The Megapixel of the camera is put to shame by other phones available.

...I had been waiting for this day for some time. My 18 month contract with T-Mobile is coming up for renewal next week, however having had problems gaining reception in my area I'd opted to look elsewhere for a new contract. A few weeks back my problems were solved when I was shopping around to try and find the best mobile contract, and discovered that O2 would be stocking the Apple iPhone as of November the 9th. Not only was I looking for a new mobile contract, but also a replacement MP3 player so the Apple iPhone seemed ideal. I made plans to purchase the iPhone and on the evening of release made my way down to the nearest O2 store upon finishing work, bagging myself my very own iPhone at a price of £269. Although the price did seem a little steep, especially considering that I would be paying out a further £35 a month for the contract...

Advantages: very easy to use, amazing looking.

...I own one of these and they are absolutely brilliant, it feels great, looks amazing and in my opinion its the best gadget there is. its not only a phone its also a email device, pda, a proper organiser and a good mp4 player. its possible to buy games, utilies and a numereous amount of application which makes life must easier, theres retaurant finder, maps that gives you directions like a sat nav, without the talking, the 2megapixel camera isnt superb but the picture quality is like havin a laptop in your hand, it is crystal clear. the iphone is light and you gets some amazing cases to use with it. there is loads of application from apple itune stores which is cheap, try it out, in my opinion its great....

...I got my 8GB ipod touch for christmas and its been great every since day one! It came with a cool leather case to protect the beautiful shiny backplate that it has (so easily scratched its incredible!) It feels really nice in your hands and is just so easy and simple to use. It works using a touch screen system and only two main buttons. One for turning it on and off and one is the home button which is used to close appications and return to the homepage. One of the best features of the 2nd gen touch is the WIFI connection. I connected it to my homehub router in seconds and then was able to use apples pre-installed web browser safari, which i was very impressed by. Using the WIFI connection also allows you to check your e-mails from a variety of sources ( but sadly no hotmail link ) and access the itunes store and appstore like...

Disadvantages: Price, my specifically unreliable model, not vampire-friendly :P

...memory for my songs. The iphone has the standard features of an itouch. I particularly enjoy the fact I can make playlists on the iphone and that I can listen to music without headphones. The sound quality is excellent. But do be careful not to answer calls when you have it hooked up to a sound system. I was with a group of friends and my iphone was connected to the speakers and my mum rang. I completely forgot that it was my music that was playing and suddenly everyone could hear everything my mum was saying - slight embarrassment. Woops... ~Ringtones~ This was something that annoyed me to the end of the earth. That you can buy a CD or download an itunes track and yet Apple make it so difficult for you to turn that track into a ringtone. I have, however, found the solution to this problem - audiko.net provide free ringtones...

It has an 8GB storage cappacity which is very good, it has sexy little features such as, how you unlock the keypad. However there is only one dissapointment, the camera, a 2.0megapixel camera is a let-down for the well looked forward iphone, especially when samsung and sony ericsson are bringing out 5 megapixel camereas now. The iphone is also orientation sensitive, meaning when you are viewing a picture, and you turn the phone horizontally, the picture will turn with you, enableing you to zoom/pan easily and clearer. The phone can sync pretty much anything with your computer including contacts, calenders, photos, videos, music, podcasts etc. It has a snazzy way of making and recieving calls aswell, the big colour co-ordinated accept or reject buttons are...

...or something like this. iPhone internet browser don't have Flash player, It means, you don't see some websites with cool design and also you can't see videos, what recourse on Flash. With iPhone, you can't send MMS, It means you can't send your pictures to your friends so easy. Nevertheless iPhone's big capacity, you can't use it as memory stick, but older iPods you can use as memory stick. Opening some folders takes a lot of time, example, opening folder "Settings", It takes about 2 seconds before It opens, and sometimes It's gonna be really annoying. Earphone sound is a little bit low, but you could accustom with it. Battery durability is not very good, battery empty about in 3 days, especially if you use it really often. Also you can't change inner- battery, also It's not possible with iPods, I don't believe, that Apple make changes about...

Disadvantages: Bulky, hard to text, expensive and only available on contract at the moment

...So, probably the most talked about phone of them all in 2008, the Apple iPhone, and as a long lover of the Apple range of iPods I decided after a while to get one on a 24 month contract from 02. It is a little more expensive that some of its rivals such as the N96, and is only available on a contract which was unfortunate as I personally prefer pay as you go. The phone itself looks very impressive, stylish yet sleek although the overall size of the device is a bit big, however this is necessary for the large and clear screen the phone has. Feature-wise, the phone really is at the top and supports full internet browsing, iTunes capability, maps program, youtube player ... you name it.
