For others, it's pointless TV, watched by idiots, which is taking up time and money which could be used on other shows. ~~~ What's it About ? ~~~ Basically, a group of everyday people are put into a house which is completely covered by televsion cameras and microphones. The show then runs for a number of weeks (10+). The contestants participate in daily tasks which they must complete in order to gain a reward. They also get a main task which covers a few days, which depending on their performance, either earns them a food budget to buy what they like from the shopping list or earns them rice and other basic food. ...I'm a fan of Bill Bryson. I like his dry, acerbic wit, and the way he bombards the reader with lots of dry facts yet manages to still keep it entertaining. The latest book of his I read (although not the latest written), was Notes from a Big Country. As I said, delivering trivial facts and figures in an amusing fashion is Bryson's forte and when those facts are about the land of his birth (USA), and are compared then related to his once adopted homeland (UK), I can visualize him virtually drooling at the prospect. ...I rented this game on a recommendation from this sight and WOW!. My first Impressions were that this was a child's game, little more than a Spyro or Crash Bandicoot clone. ** But after a good days play through I'm happy to say I was wrong. Yeah the characters could be construed as overly Childish, but people who slate the game for this reason alone (and they are out there!) you are missing the bigger picture. *** Imagine if you will looking out of your window into you garden. Now imagine drawing your finger anywhere in that garden and being able to move the garden furniture, trim the grass and bushes, even cut and lay decking, re-size the shed and move it to a more suitable location...literally being able to do anything in your garden with just your finger!... The Big Sleep

Advantages: (+) outstanding read (+) excellent and creative/unique plot (+) addictive
Disadvantages: (-) extremely confusing and difficult to keep track of (and to summarise in the review!)

Big action, big fun

Advantages: Great for imaginative play, sturdy and brightly coloured, Made by fisher price
Disadvantages: expensive for one toy. Quite large so a big room is needed

...Fisher Prices’ Big action garage is one of the best children’s garages I have seen on the market to date. Although a little pricey for a child’s toy at £54.97 it really is money well spent. The garage comes in a box with home assembly required, this was a little daunting as the instructions came in an A4 booklet! However it took roughly half an hour to assemble and was relatively easy once I got going, everything you require is included with the exception of a Phillips screwdriver. The garage itself comprises of a ground floor level with barriers and petrol pumps, the second floor level leads onto the long spiral ramp as does the top floor level. ...Well two weeks into starting school my middle son was excited as he got to bring his first reading book home but the following day he was more excited as he got another book bag which had a few reading books in for him to keep! Naturally when we got through the door we had to sit and read them together. The cover of this book s red and has a picture of a big gorilla on the left hand side wearing a suit and the title on the right hand side in nice big bright multicoloured letters. The back cover of the book has a blue background and a picture of Mr Big and a small monkey standing next to each other. There is also a few words about the story. The story starts by introducing us to Mr Big and telling us about how big he is and how everywhere he goes people always saw him as big and scary, as people found him scary they always ran away...

Advantages: Great gameplay, nicely rendered stadiums, players and graphics, commentary that works with gameplay

In the beginning the game controls will take some time to learn but soon you will be ripping perfect fast balls at the hitter. Game play, sound and graphics is sweet and nicely rendered but the computer player can be tough to beat. Big Cook Little Cock!

...Big Cook Little Cook...... Big Cook Little Cook is a programme that is aired on the CBeebies channel and is aimed at pre-school age children. The show has two presenters one big cook names Ben and a small cook named Small. (Of course, he is not actually small in real life but they have got an average sized person but filmed him so he appears to be about 5 inches tall). These two cooks own a cafe where different characters come to eat different types of food. They have characters from al the major fairy tales and of course on their Christmas show Father Christmas came to eat in the cafe. The programme is a little like a cookery show for children but a lot of adult help is needed. Also a lot of the food that is made i should think is not overly nice as it is a bit of a mixture of things put together to make something suitable...
