...Another series, another great DVD, another exciting week! Going on from the first two series which are on sold as one please don't feel disapointed you are only buying one series! It's another gripping 5 episodes that will keep you on the edge of your sofa. You never know what's going to happen next apart from the cycle of life taking it's course. The three presenters follow the three big cats in the Masa Mara in the heart of Africa. You will see some old faces and some cats will brace the camera. Again you see the cats hunt and kill so if that's not your thing then please be warned this DVD may not be for you. If you have the first two series then this is a must have! If you haven't got the first two then i strongly suggest you get it!...

Clever Cats

...This is the time of year when all of the tacky presents appear in the shops that the recipient will feign great appreciation for on Xmas morning and send to the charity shop in the new year. As well as tacky toys and gadgets the bookshelves are filled with all the latest z list celebrity biographies and other rubbish books that no sane person would surely buy for themselves. One of those books is called Test Your Cat; The Cat IQ Test which was gifted to me by a friend presumably after she had taken the 10 minutes to test her cat and thought giving it to me was a way of making room on her bookshelf for something better. The Cat IQ test is a small hardback book with an attractive picture of a cat on the front. The book is only 120 pages long, most of those pages contain a single question with room to record your response by ticking...

Cat's Scary!

...When I was younger, my friends and I were addicted to teddies, more in particular those in the TY Beanie range! TY make a lot of soft toys, in all forms, including animals bears, and Beanie Boppers which are like little people. My friends and I loved the TY beanies, and between us probably had all of them! There are lots of different animals in the TY range, and a lot of them were cats, much to my delight. One of the little cats is known as Frightful. She is not just a normal little kitty though, but represents Halloween. I love witches especially, so this beanie is perfect for me. Frightful is jet black, with bright orange paws. On her head there is an adorable witches hat with cobwebs, complete with little hanging spider. She definitely has a frightening look to her, but she is utterly gorgeous! Review of TY Frightful the Black Cat

Cats chase mice - or do they?

Advantages: Full of humour
Disadvantages: Story not wildly exciting

...wiggling with excitement rather than the worry of the previous morning. Rob Scotton, of 'Russell the Sheep' fame, has created another character and story full of delight and humour in 'Splat the Cat'. Whilst not being the first book on the trauma of starting school, this is an original take on the idea. The cats behave like typical cats in some ways, but Scotton depicts them as people who wear clothes, ride bikes and walk on two legs. Strangely enough, Splat himself doesn't wear anything, except that he has a small red helmet when he is on his bike. Scotton's illustrations are charming. Splat has a lovely furry body and head but his legs are like matchsticks and his tail is extremely long and wiggly. We see his classmates welcoming him with big grins, some with missing teeth, some wearing glasses, and one hugging a Russell the Sheep toy. There...

Review of Splat the Cat - Rob Scotton

Big beautiful cat

Advantages: Very inexpensive to buy
Disadvantages: Potentially very expensive to run

...the supercharged XKR coupe version which has almost an extra 100 bhp more than the standard XK8 (about 380bhp) although I have driven both and even the standard one is a very desirable car. The convertible is also good, but didn't appear to handle quite as well, although has the advantage that you can hear that wonderful V8 engine. In the coupe you have to stick your head out of the window and drive like an idiot through a tunnel before you really get the full effect of the noise. The XKR has Computer Active Suspension (CATS) which makes it handle even better, and automatically tightens up the shock absorbers when you drive on twisty roads, although this is an option on the standard car as well. The handling and ride really are very good for such a big car. The best thing about this car is the price. At £70K new with lots of extra options it seems...

The Cat's out of the Bag

I can?t say there?s any particular songs on the album that I don?t like, the only one I don?t play is Morning has Broken, but that?s only because it was played at my mum?s funeral, and at the moment it still just brings tears to my eyes when I hear it. Whilst I don?t dislike any of the songs, the only problem I find with an artist like Cat Stevens is that his voice is so distinctive that it makes all his songs sound very similar, even though some of the songs are very folksie and others are quite popish. I?m led to believe that some of the tracks have been digitally remastered to improve the quality, but since I only listen to music through the crummy speakers on my laptop, so I can?t really speak about the quality of the tracks in this respect.   *DANGER* - Big Cat On The Prowl
