Advantages: Stupidly funny!

...Billy Madison is another comedy film starring the as yet unknown at the time Adam Sandler. It was made in 1995 when Sandler was still on Saturday Night Live. Adam Sandler plays the titular character; he's 27 and the son of Bryan Madison (Darren McGavin), a very rich hotel magnate. So he has never worked a day in his life and doesn't know the true meaning of money as everything is just given to him. But Bryan is retiring, and is torn about whether to give it to Billy or to Eric Gordon (Bradley Whitford), a slimy co-worker at Madison Hotels. So Billy strikes a deal with his dad: he will go through each school grade and pass their exams in a short period of time in order for him to become the head of the company. Advantages: Nice sweet film, romantic comedy
Disadvantages: Not the best romantic comedy I have seen, some may find it too sickly sweet!

...Billy Elliot was not the sort of film I liked, and when my sister bought it on DVD, I moaned about her crap choice in films, but she insisted it was actually very good, as she saw it at the cinema when it came out a few years ago. Disadvantages: Hard to put down, can draw tears to the eyes

Though, it is a good thing, this, as it helps to open our eyes to see what the real world is like. Well done, Billie. ::Do I Recommend?:: Of course I recommend this book! But to who? Well, undoubtedly to any Piper fans! If you fancy a solid, emotional read, then this autobiography is also for you! Disadvantages: Too "modern" for jazz purists?

...a compliment when a singer can sound like a host of others. Firstly her nasal delivery is akin to Nelly Furtado. That's not something she'll be proud of, but it's the obvious comparison. When she's being twee and sweet, it's Erykah Badu and, more commonly, Billie Holiday. She grumbles on the low notes and that's when she can sound a bit llike Nina Simone. She uses hip hop beats allied to traditional jazz instruments on about half of the tracks on Frank. Whilst this is not a new approach, her voice guarantees that next 13 tracks are an interesting ride. WHAT DOES SHE SING ABOUT? ---------------------------------------------- Got an hour?
