Disadvantages: Not Quite A Complete Representation Of The Recordings

...Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid is the soundtrack to the film of the same name, consisting of track s written and recorded by Bob Dylan. It followed on from New Morning, with many calling it an amateurish release, not pertaining to the heights of his previous earlier works, but for me this is far from the truth. As with many soundtrack albums it is made up of mainly instrumental material, with a few tracks that can be considered to be songs. It is often criticised for this aspect, and for the fact that it provides three versions of in effect the same song, Billy 1, Billy 4 and Billy 7, done in opposing styles. But there has also been much praise for Knockin' on Heaven's Door, which in truth is best heard live. This should not really be considered as a fully fledged studio album, but more as another insight into the mind of the great man...

Advantages: Stupidly funny!
Disadvantages: Not very original

...and tried to woo his third grade teacher, Veronica Vaughn. Will it all pay off? No offense to Adam Sandler, but this is the kind of role that he plays very well. The immature, silly man-child with a heart of gold, and that description fits Billy Madison perfectly. Just seeing how well he fits in with the kids in his class proves that! The story is hardly original, and you can kind of guess where it's all going to end up, but as they say, it's how you get there that counts, and this is a nice journey. It's a film you're not supposed to take seriously, you're just supposed to lie back and have some fun watching it. It has the trademark Sandler slapstick humour that is guaranteed to put a smile on your face. The cast do their job well and give the film an all-around happy tone. ...Billy Elliot was not the sort of film I liked, and when my sister bought it on DVD, I moaned about her crap choice in films, but she insisted it was actually very good, as she saw it at the cinema when it came out a few years ago. I sat down and watched it grumpily later that night, expecting it to be patronising, contrived sugary sweet rubbish. I was so wrong! I vaguely knew that Billy Elliot was the story of a boy, of the same name, who aspired to be a ballet dancer in 1980's England, but that was it. A film about an 11 year-old ballet dancer? ...Continuing the story from The Young Guns, this is definitely an improvement over the first film Young Guns, and the first part was very good. This film plays out the story of Billy the Kid to the conclusion, with the controversial shooting in the back, in a dark room with Pat Garret. The film begins with an old man standing with a burro. eventually a car {early 1900's version} pulls up and a lawyer approaches the figure "Bonny?....William H, Bonny, aka Billy the Kid?" It seems that billy as finally come to get the pardon he was promised decades prior. After some dialogue, the lawyer asks him if he can prove he is Billy the Kid......"For example, do you have any scars?"
